She was born June 14, 1923, the daughter of F.R., Sr. and Anna Bailey. She married
Luther Turner on Jan. 22, 1944 and moved to southern California where they raised three daughters.

Leila Louise McCormick, 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Mo., after losing her battle with lung cancer.
Leila was born Oct. 8, 1921, the daughter of Calvin M. and Verna G. (Peterson) Henley, of Humphreys, Mo., and was the fifth of six siblings. On Dec. 23, 1950 she married
Charles C. McCormick at Pocahontas, Ark. He preceded her in death in July 1981.
