Wayne Campbell
BLOOMFIELD -- Wayne Campbell, 60, of Bloomfield died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Campbell was born Oct. 20, 1943, at Toledo, Ohio. He was a retired captain of the United States Marine Corp, as well as a helicopter pilot. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam for which he received several medals.
Survivors include three daughters, Desere Clabo of Stewart, Fla., Michelle Moeau of MiDana, Tenn. and CatLynn Campbell of Bloomfield; two sons, Brandon Lee Campbell and Logan Wayne Campbell, both of Bloomfield; two sisters, Linda Campbell of Michigan and Carol Ann Moore of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers, Bob Campbell of Bloomfield and Harry Campbell Jr. of Dayton, Ohio and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Missouri State Veterans cemetery in Bloomfield.
Beulah Barr
MALDEN -- Beulah Marie Barr, 89, of Malden died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Mrs. Barr was born Sept. 2, 1914, at Campbell. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Malden. She had worked as a hospital aide and homemaker.
She was married
to Edward Beard. He preceded her in death March 2, 1968. She later married
Finish Edward Barr May 26, 1977 at Malden. He preceded her in death July 22, 1993.
Survivors include one sister, Louise Hooker of Swartz Creek, Mich.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many other family members.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.
Lula Hutchison
MALDEN -- Lula Mae Hutchison, 84, of Malden died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Malden Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Hutchison was born July 10, 1920, in Malden.
On Jan. 31, 1940, she married
Perry Hutchison at Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1994.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Henderson of Bernie; one sister, Shirley Burtch of Sterling, Mich.; two brothers, Ronnie Blanton of Granite City, Ill. and Robert Blanton of Dupo, Ill.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. O. H. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.
Cecil Jane Gibbs
VAN BUREN -- Cecil Jane Emma Ellen (Smith) Gibbs, 94, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Riverways Manor Nursing Home in Van Buren.
Mrs. Gibbs was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Williamsville and was a lifelong resident of the Van Buren area. She was a lifetime member of the Yount General Baptist Church in Garwood and a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family. She received her driver's license at the age of 75 and had it renewed at the age of 90.
On Oct. 12, 1926, she married
Orda Asouth Gibbs. He preceded her in death July 1, 1981.
Survivors include five daughters, Dortha Rogers of Park Hills, Eula Mae Woolford of Sacramento, Calif., Pauline Kaiser of Eagle River, Wis., Doris McQuery of Arnold and Martha Gibbs of Clayton; two sons, Jimmy Gibbs of Van Buren and Orda Junior Gibbs of St. Louis; one brother, Billy Smith of Evansville, Ind.; 156 combined grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other family members.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday at McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Bill Orr officiating. Burial will be in the Yount Memorial cemetery in Garwood.
Wilma Bennett
GREENVILLE -- Wilma "Rita" Bennett, 83, of Silva died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Bennett was born March 23, 1921, in Mill Spring. She had worked as a packer for Lever Brothers in St. Louis.
On March 30, 1940, she married
Donald Edison Bennett. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Jackie Bennett of Silva, Jim Bennett of Montreal and Michael Steven Bennett of Fenton; two sisters, Erma Yount of Hiram and Shirley Reynolds of Virginia; two brothers, Charles Boyer of Columbia and Jerry Boyer of Buena Vista, Colo.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the George Twidwell cemetery in Silva with the Rev. Willis Guess officiating.
Lawanda Tieman
DONIPHAN -- Lawanda Tieman, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Tieman was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Doniphan and had lived at Cape Girardeau for 13 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Carter Crook of Lebanon, Ore., and Howard Crook of Wappapello.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jack Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Towles cemetery.
Dora Mayberry
DEXTER -- Dora "Jackie" Mayberry, 88, of Bloomfield died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Beverly Healthcare Center in Bloomfield.
Mrs. Mayberry was born May 20, 1916, in Stoddard County and had lived in Stoddard County all of her life. She had lived in Bloomfield for several years. She was of the General Baptist Church and loved to attend church.
She was married
to Lee Carol Mayberry, he preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include one sister, Mae Mayberry of Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill cemetery near Bloomfield.
Clyde Hudspeth
CORNING -- Clyde Hudspeth, 90, of Kennett died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Twin Rivers Hospital in Kennett.
Mr. Hudspeth was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Clay County, Ark. He was a self-employed retired plumber and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Corning, Ark.
On Nov. 4, 1931, he married
Elba Blanton. She preceded him in death April 30, 1996.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Stubblefield of Poplar Bluff, Amanda Smith of Kennett and Evelyn Taylor of Perryville; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, Ark. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Post Oak cemetery in McDougal, Ark.
Don Harner, Sr.
VAN BUREN -- Don D. Harner, Sr., 79, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 in Van Buren.
Mr. Harner was born July 18, 1925, in Van Buren. He was a lifetime resident of Van Buren, a retired timber worker and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was of the General Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with friends.
On April 23, 1949, he was united in marriage to Melba Louise Estes in Piggott, Arkansas. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Lori Atkins of Winona; four sons, Don Harner, Jr., Keith Harner, Cole Harner and Neal Harner, all of Van Buren; five sisters, Docia Lake of Mountain View, Lottie Kladiva of Van Buren, Ann Laster of St. Louis, Grace Wells of Jackson, Tenn., and Wanda Newton of Van Buren; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Calvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Van Buren City cemetery.
Juanita Polansky
CORNING -- Juanita Nash Polansky, 85, of Reyno, Ark. died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center at Jonesboro, Ark.
Mrs. Polansky was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Maynard, Ark. She formerly lived in Corning, Ark. and Corpus Christi, Texas.
She had worked at Basler Electric and in family farming.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Britton of Tecumseh, Mich. and Paulette Richardson of Greenville, Mo.; two step-sons, Robert Polansky and Emil Polansky, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; two step-daughters, Vernie McEnnis and Patsy Watson, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, J. R. Finnie of Reyno, Ark.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday in Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Roger Hovis. Burial will be in Nelson cemetery at Reyno.
