Truman Glass Sr.
FISK -- Truman E. Glass Sr., 81, of Broseley died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Glass was born May 13, 1922, in Broseley where he lived all his life. He was a retired farmer and breeder of purebred Polled Hereford cattle and registered Duroc and Hampshire hogs. He successfully showed his livestock in area fairs and livestock shows and also sponsored 4-H youth in raising and showing livestock. He had been an active member of the Cache Valley Saddle Club and a sponsor of little league baseball. Mr. Glass was affiliated with Lone Oak General Baptist Church.
On Sept. 4, 1943, he married
Therma Shackleford in Broseley. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Truman Edward Glass Jr. and wife Frances of Broseley; five grandchildren, Christopher Edward Glass and wife Serena of Poplar Bluff, Billy Evans, Jimmy Dale Evans and fianc/ Jan Barker, all of Chicago, Linda Leone and husband Joe, Rhonda Moore and husband Terry, all of Broseley; six great-grandchildren, Crystal and Braden Glass of Poplar Bluff, Dalton Leone, Norman Phillips Jr. and Kyle Moore, all of Broseley, Courtney Evans of Chicago; and a special nephew who helped care for him, David Henry of Broseley.
Mr. Glass is proceeded in death by one son, Martin Andrew Glass; his parents, M.C. and Ada Eastwood Glass; one brother, Govie Glass; and one sister, Inez Glass Medlin.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Marlin Rice officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel cemetery at Broseley.
Harold R. Wagner II
Harold Richard Wagner II was stillborn at 11:46 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare - North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Survivors are his parents, John Allen Wagner and Misty Dawn McElhaney Wagner of the home in Naylor; paternal grandparents, John and Yvonne Wagner of Naylor; maternal grandparents, Gene and Peggy McElhaney of Naylor; paternal great-grandmother, Francis Smith of Poplar Bluff; and maternal great-grandmother, Sadie O. McElhaney of Poplar Bluff.
The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kinsey cemetery at Harviell. Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Allecia D. Hindman
Allecia Dawn Hindman, 22, of Cape Girardeau was born May 15, 1981, in New Roads, La., and died Oct. 27, 2003, at her home. Her mother is Jacki McClure of Scott City and her fathers are Chuck McClure of Puxico and Kelly Hindman of Advance.
Ms. Hindman was raised in Puxico. She graduated Puxico High School in 1999. She was employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her parents; one sister, Samantha McClure of Puxico; paternal grandparents, Edith Green and Ronnie Hindman; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Mick of Porterville, Calif.; six uncles, Kevin Hindman, Steve Gotautis of Yosemite, Calif., James Gotautis of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dale and Kathy McClure, Kenny and Nicole McClure and Ron Henry, all of Puxico; and one aunt, Debbie and James Lewis of Puxico.
Many other friends and relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by one set of paternal grandparents, Dean and Louanna McClure.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Puxico cemetery.
Donnie Bennett
Donnie Mae Bennett, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Arrangements are pending with Cotrell Funeral Service.
Donald Lee Cook
GIDEON - Donald Lee Cook, 60, of Gideon died Friday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Mr. Cook was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Gideon. He was of the Baptist faith. He married
Linda Griego April 7, 1966, in Gideon. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Donald Lee Cook Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four daughters, Ann Cook of Kennett, Belinda Carol Allen and Patricia Walker, both of Malden, and Mary Ann Mathys of Oceanside, Calif.; one sister, Marilyn Barnes of Steelville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Hubert Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in the Stanfield cemetery at Clarkton.
Tylburn McGowen
JONESBORO, Ark. -- Tylburn Arvilla McGowen, 81, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. McGowen was born in Fisk. He had lived in Jonesboro since her husband's retirement from the U.S. Air Force in 1966. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Baptist church.
She was married
to Col. Loy A. McGowen who preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Deborah K. Lawson of Little Rock, Ark., Paula J. Miles of Jonesboro, Christina S. Daniel of Pensacola, Fla., and LuAnne Bearden of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons, David L. McGowen of Tuscon, Ariz., and Joseph P. McGowen of Jonesboro; one sister, Christine Shane of Fisk; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery.

Helen M. Moore
DEXTER - Helen M. Moore, 74, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter.
Mrs. Moore was born July 10, 1929, in Bloomfield. She had been a resident of Dexter since 1981 and had lived many years in Fairmont City, Ill.
She was a member of the Dudley Community Church in Dudley. She married
Perry Moore Sept. 9, 1974, at Alton, Ill. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons: Ray Jones and Michael Moore, both of Dexter; one daughter, Barbara Logsdon of Ramsey, Ill.; two brothers: Herman Beyerbach of Bloomfield and Leonard Beyerbach of Florissant; one sister: Nell Nelson of Dexter; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel in Dexter. Pastor Donald Morgan of Dudley will officiate. Burial will be in the Walker cemetery near Bloomfield.
Charles R. Gore
Charles R. Gore, 53, of Naylor died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Gore worked in maintenance for Darling Store Fixture. He was not presently working because of his health.
He was born Dec. 24, 1949, in St. Louis. He had lived in Ripley County for around 20 years and had previously lived in St. Louis.
He married
Debbie King in 1974 in St. Louis. She preceded him in death on June 20, 1995. He also was preceded in death by his parents: Earl T. Gore, who died Sept. 25, 1960, and Minerva Cunningham Gore White, who died July 16, 1996; and two brothers: Earl (Chick) Gore and Mark White.
Mr. Gore enjoyed playing pool, fishing and needlepoint. He served in the United states Navy from 1970 to 1974.
Survivors include five children: Tracy Dillinger of St. Louis, Charlie Gore II of Harviell, Michelle Turner and Chris Gore, both of Doniphan, and Angie Rigdon of Naylor; three sisters: Nancy Carlton and Mary Tucker, both of Doniphan, and Wanda Elder of Naylor; and one brother: Bob Carlton of Neelyville; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11.m. Sunday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel. The Rev. David Garner will officiate. Burial will be in the Naylor Masonic cemetery.
Jerry Reese Sr.
ELLINGTON -- Jerry Wayne Reese Sr., 53, of Ellington died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Reese was born Feb. 12, 1950, in St. Louis. He was a member of the Lighthouse Temple and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
On Jan. 10, 1970, he married
Sue Smith in Bunker. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jerry Reese Jr. and Harold L. Reese, both of Ellington, and Dale Reese of Piedmont; one daughter, Tina Duncan of Fremont; three sisters, Joyce Abney of Farmington and Sheila Straite and Josephine Dunn, both of Bunker; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Asberry officiating. Burial will be in the Greeley cemetery in Bunker.
Memorials may be made to the Reese family.
Opal Davis
PIEDMONT -- Opal Jennetta Davis, 86, of Patterson died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Patterson. She was a member of the Little Lake General Baptist Church in Patterson and was the retired owner/operator of a furniture upholstery shop in Patterson.
On Aug. 13, 1955, she married
Delbert Davis. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Dean Davis of Fredericktown; one daughter, Donna Davis of Patterson; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Elder Darrel Silvy officiating. Burial will be in the Rowland-Woods cemetery in Patterson.
