Eileen A. Sullivan-Crosby age 54, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at her home. She was born June 18, 1949 in Fremont, Nebraska, the daughter of Leroy and Ardys Fischer Hasenkamp. She was united in marriage to Clyde Sullivan who preceded her in death on June 22, 1995. She was later united in marriage to John Crosby. Eileen was a retired court reporter and legal secretary and member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Greenview. She is survived by her husband, John Crosby of the home; one daughter, Malia Nemecek and husband, Don of Scribner, Nebraska; one step-son, Brian Crosby and wife, Shannon of Springfield, Missouri; one step-daughter, Robin Crosby of Honolulu, Hawaii; parents, Leroy and Ardys Hasenkamp of Fremont, Nebraska; three brothers, Jerry Hasenkamp of Omaha, Nebraska, Roger Hasenkamp of Council Bluff, Iowa, Don Hasenkamp of Bode, Iowa; one grandchild, Makayla Nemecek, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie with Pastor Eugene Moll officiating. Interment will be in Garber Memorial Estates cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Friday, October 31, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel of Laurie.

Creed Monica Ruth

Ruth Monica Creed, 71, Gravois Mills, died Feb. 20, 2003, at her home. She was born March 2, 1931, in Hugo, a daughter of Robert H. and Clarissa Jane Pope Miller. She was married Oct. 6, 1949, in Kansas City, Kan., to William E. Creed, who died Oct. 12, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie. She sang in the church choir. Survivors include: three daughters, Linda Jean Creed, Laurie, Mary Janee Barnes, Denver, and Jenna R. Angell, Camdenton; four brothers, Robert G. Miller, Koshkonong, Thomas Walter Miller, Independence, James Joseph Miller, Northglenn, Colo., and Roy William Miller, Blue Springs; two sisters, Mary Catherine Dusil, Bonner Springs, Kan., and Clara Wilma Lenox, Kansas City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One daughter, Cynthia Ruth Weyrough, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Msgr. Gerard Poelker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Monday at the church. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home. Laurie.

Cooper, Millie J.

Millie J. Cooper, age 86, of Versailles, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, on July 2, 1919, the daughter of Hiram Benjamin and Edna Osborn Murphy. In Versailles on March 12, 1939, she was united in marriage with Earl Jessie Cooper who preceded her in death on January 19, 1986. Millie was a charter member of the Versailles First Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school for several years and where she loved to sing. She enjoyed flowers, going to garage sales, crafts, and loved working with children. She is survived by two sons, Roger Cooper and wife Bonnie of Stover and Bennie Cooper and wife Jeanette of Oak Grove, Missouri; one daughter, Susan Hansen and husband Dale “Doc” of Nampa, Idaho; one brother, A.J. Murphy and wife Margie of Dearborn, Missouri; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Sid, and Marion Paul Murphy, and three sisters, Zelma Hinkin, Jewel Marriott, and Pauline Stewart. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 25, 2005, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Versailles cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Assembly of God Church of Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Cooper Albert Lynn

Lynn Albert Cooper, age 42, of Manteca, California, passed away Sunday morning, March 9, 2003 at his home. He was born September 16, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Paul C. and Eunice L. Vandiver Brown Cooper. He was married on October 3, 2003 with Leslie Gulledge Cobb, who survives of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Paul and Eunice Cooper of Rogers, Arkansas. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 14, 2003 at the Glensted cemetery near Versailles with Reverend Gailya Dow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Homes of Versailles.

Colvin Leroy Dorsey

Dorsey Leroy Colvin, age 87, of Versailles, passed away Friday morning, March 4, 2005, at his home. He was born May 7, 1917, in Morgan County, the son of Roy and Thelma Ferguson Colvin. He was united in marriage on March 5, 1942, in Versailles, with Josephine Sumner who survives of the home. Dorsey was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Versailles. He retired after several years from Hentges Tree Service. He was an avid fox and coyote hunter. He also loved gardening and mowing the lawn, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Mike Colvin and wife Pam of Versailles; two daughters, Teresa Stafford and husband Randy of Eldon, and Linda Headley and husband Ernie of Versailles; five grandchildren, Angie Rayl and husband Everett of Versailles, Brad Chamberlain and wife Kellee of Versailles, Carrie Howard and husband Mark of Versailles, Shauna Healea and husband Shayne of Holts Summit, and Hailey and Addison Colvin of Versailles; three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Ryan, and Tyler Chamberlain of Versailles, Hannah Rayl of Versailles, and Avery, Ashlynn, and Kale Howard of Versailles; and two sisters, Marie Williams of Independence, and Lucille Raines of Versailles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wray Colvin and Sonny Colvin, and two sisters, Violet Wisnewski and Wanda Dixon, and one son, James Colvin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Reverend William Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the AWANAS youth group at the Calvary Baptist Church in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Clark, Jack W.

Jack W. Clark, age 77, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. He was born December 18, 1927 at Glensted, Missouri, the son of William T. and Stella Richardson Clark. He was united in marriage on October 12, 1947 with Georgia Daniels. Jack graduated from Versailles High School in 1945, and served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947. He started Clark’s Tire Company in 1947, and shortly thereafter started a re-treading business. He was co-owner of BC D&J Rubber Company, and has remained active in Clark’s Tire Company since its inception. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles, where he served as elder, deacon and trustee, was a member of the Masonic Lodge #320 A.F. & A.M. in Versailles, the American Legion, and served on the Versailles Industrial Trust. He was very involved and interested in community affairs. He donated the land for the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City as well as numerous donations for the Versailles Community. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Clark of the home; four children, Barbara Slevin and husband Pat, of Jefferson City, Bill Clark and wife Sharon, of Versailles, Becky Bullard and husband Steve, of Versailles, and Barry Clark and wife Misty, of Versailles; one sister, Margaret Wetzel of Kansas City; seven grandchildren Jed Clark, Joel Clark, Cassie Williams, Sasha Volmert, Cory Roam, Jill Roam, and baby Jack Clark; six great-grandchildren, Dylan Volmert, Devin Volmert, Jax Roam, Keiley Clark, Joeley Clark, and Gracen Clark; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Jim Clark, and two sisters, Marion Ward and Martha Ward. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles, with Rev. Diane Miller officiating. Entombment will be in the Versailles cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The family suggests memorial contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Samaritan Center in Jefferson City, or American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 in Sunrise Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Clark Rick

Ricky David "Rick" Clark, 49, Versailles, died Dec. 10, 2002, at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Downey, Calif., a son of Jerald and Yolanda Lynn Pettit Clark. His father survives in Rock Hill, S.C. He was married Aug. 28, 1976, to Rita Pifer, who survives at the home. He was a 1974 graduate of Morgan County R-II High School, Versailles. He owned and operated Affordable Video since 1983. He was active in youth sports programs in the Versailles area and started the youth soccer program in 1988 and was instrumental in the micro soccer, flag football and girl's softball programs. Other survivors include: one son, Alan Clark, St. Joseph; one daughter, Kristi Clark, of the home; three brothers, James Clark, Kings Mountain, N.C., Craig Clark, Rock Hill, S.C., and Joe Nicolini, LaMirada, Calif.; and one sister, Jerilyn Robertson, Fort Mill, S.C. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Leroy Viebrock Memorial Gymnasium in Morgan County R-II High School, Versailles. The Rev. William Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Addition to the Versailles cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the high school. Memorials are suggested to the Rick Clark Memorial Fund for youth sports programs, in care of Versailles Park Board. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

Clark Lucille Sarah

Sarah Lucille Clark, age 97, of Barnett, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born August 11, 1907 in Pickett County, Tennessee, the daughter of Mark and Laura Pierce Groce. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker, and enjoyed playing cards and crossword puzzles. She is survived by three sons, Junior Clark of Kerns, Texas, Stanley Clark of Barnett, and Henry Clark of Estill Springs, Tennessee; three daughters, Joyce Sullins of Eldon, Dimple Sullins of Barnett, and Darlene Carmichael of Columbia, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three sons, Joe, Earl and Paul Groce, and one daughter Rose Groce. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Eastside Assembly of God Church in Eldon, with Sister Buena Huffman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Clark Anna

Anna Rea Clark, age 93, of Versailles, formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away Thursday morning, December 19, 2002 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born August 17, 1909 in Ralston, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dr. L.C. and Betty DeHart Barber. She was united in marriage on November 16, 1928 with Orrin L. Clark of Cushing, Oklahoma, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1992. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker her entire life. She is survived by one son, O.B. Clark and wife, Elva of Versailles, Missouri; one daughter, Rita A. Nesselhauf and husband, Gregory of Rogers, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Karen Burmood and husband, Terry of Pinellas Park, Florida, Robert Nesselhauf of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kimberly Nesselhauf and husband, Don Gregg of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Rebecca Culler and husband, Mark of Clinton, Missouri, Lorri Beth Morlon of Eldon, Missouri, and Roger Clark and wife, Lisa of Ashland, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Services were at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2002 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles with Reverend Diane Miller officiating. Graveside services and interment were 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 27, 2002 at Evergreen cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Arrangements were under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Christiansen A. Walter

Walter A. Christiansen, age 88, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Monday afternoon, June 20, 2005 at the Laurie Care Center. He was born April 12, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John A. and Elvira Bye Christiansen. He was united in marriage on July 1, 1939 with Harriet K. Nilsen, who preceded him in death on August 19, 2002. Walt was a retired machinist, and a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. He is survived by two sons, Leroy (Gus) Christiansen and wife Judy, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and Doug Christiansen and wife Kathy, of Naperville, Illinois; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Masonic and Shrine Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie, with visitation to follow until 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the Shrine Club. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.

Chatlos W. Fred

Fred W. Chatlos, age 88, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Laurie Care Center. He was born April 3, 1917 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son on Susan Progner and Julius Chatlos. Fred was united in marriage on May 6, 1943 to Catherine Shookner who survives of the home. Mr. Chatlos was a service manager in the automotive field, a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of WW-II and served in Guam. He was a member of the V.F.W. and worked as a reserve police officer in North Kansas City from 1967- 1969 and retired as Lieutenant. He is survived by his wife Catherine Chatlos of the home; two sons, Fred Chatlos of Kansas City, Missouri and Bruce Chatlos of Liberty, Missouri; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. (573) 378-4655

Chapman Mildred

Mildred Chapman, age 65, of Versailles, passed away Thursday evening, March 31, 2005 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born August 18, 1939 at Flemming, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Arthur and Martha Hicks. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. (Red) Chapman of 40 years. Mildred was a member of the Gravois Arm Lions Club and Lakeside Community Church. Her passion in life was singing to glorify God and planting the seed to others and enjoying her friends and family. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred has gone on to meet her brothers Junior and Lihue, and sisters Betty and Annie, as well as her husband and parents. Mildred is survived by two sisters, Thelma West and Florence Sturggil, six brothers, Curtis, Charles, Ray, Claude, Vernon, and Dan Hicks; her children, four daughters, Patty Davis, Gwen Vale, Donna Roberts and Ann Wooten; two sons, Ralph Chapman and Joseph Clifton; 9 grandchildren, Genevia Chapman, William Alex Chapman, Flecia Davis, Lucindia Brandle, Vanessa Chapman, Debbie West, Melissa Goff, Carolyn Goff and Alicia Goff; 4 great-grandchildren, Christopher Allen Templeton, Jason Malekia Reign, Dakoda Makenzie, and Dominick Paul Winters, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, at Lakeside Community Church in Gravois Mills, with Vernon Arthur and Cap Chapman officiating. Interment will be in the Chapman cemetery near Versailles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lakeside Community Church in Gravois Mills. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Church or Gravois Arm Lions Club. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Chamberlain Pauline Goldia

Goldia Pauline Chamberlain, age 90, of Versailles, passed away Thursday morning, October 16, 2003 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born September 2, 1913 in Eldon, Missouri, the daughter of Fred Lee and Sophia O. Sidebottom Hibdon. She was united in marriage on May 30, 1941 with Floyd Chamberlain, who preceded her in death on June 8, 1985. Mrs. Chamberlain taught school in a one room schoolhouse, later worked for North American Airlines in Kansas City and was a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann Berco of Versailles; one brother, Donald Lee Hibdon and wife Jean, of Jacksonville, Florida; one grandson, Aaron Berco of San Diego, California; two step granddaughters, Helen Hill of Eldon, and Marsha Kidwell of Barnett; three step great-granddaughters, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gary Berco; her step daughter Zelma Lee Chamberlain Blanks and husband Leroy Blanks; two brothers, Curtis Hibdon and Winfred “Pete” Hibdon, one sister, Elta Grace Beatty, and one step grandson, Jimmy Blanks. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Barry Grider officiating. Interment will be in the Versailles cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.

Carter E. Kathryn

Kathryn E. Carter, age 76, of Gravois Mills passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born November 16, 1928 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of John and Idella Wastun Auld. She was united in marriage in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 26, 1949 to Don Carter. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Don Carter of the home; one son Doug Carter of Colony, Kansas; one daughter Donna Westerman of Colony, Kansas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son David Carter, one daughter Diane Carter, and one granddaughter. A celebration of life will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach with Pastor Eugene Moll officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor’s choice. Arrangement and cremation are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel.

Carrell M. Mary

Mary M. Carrell, age 71, of Laurie, passed away Wednesday morning, March 30, 2005 at the Laurie Care Center in Laurie. She was born July 9, 1933 in Jackson County, Missouri, the daughter of Rist C. and Jessie Lurton Eneff. She was united in marriage on April 28, 1951 with Don L. Carrell, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1995. Don and Mary owned and operated Laurie Lanes Bowling Alley and Dogwood Concrete in Laurie for many years. She was a member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach, and the B.P.W. She is survived by two sons, Mark Carrell and Matthew Carrell, of Gravois Mills; two sisters, June Stewart of Kansas City, and Frankie Basse of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Eneff, and one sister, Irene Stewart. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie. Interment will be in Garber Memorial Estates cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
