STOVER
Joshua Howard Stover, 17, Jefferson City, died Oct. 3, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1982, in Columbia, a son of Norman H. and Bethany Ann Brown Stover, who survive at the home.
He was employed in floor covering work with his father.
Other survivors include: maternal grandfather Howard Brown, Oakland, Ill.; four brothers, Matt Stover, Chesterfield, Andrew Stover, Rolla, Aaron Stover, Jefferson City, and Daniel Stover, of the home; and three sisters, Ellen Hegdal, Las Vegas, Emily Stover, Fairmont, Minn., and Sarah Robertson, Decatur, Ala.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. James Walker will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will follow the service.
Memorials are suggested to the children's services of Jefferson City Family Mental Health.
NESMEYER
Genevieve Nesmeyer, 71, Jefferson City, died Oct. 4, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born May 28, 1928, in St. Louis, a daughter of Clarence B. and Martha Bouchie Farnen. She was married July 20, 1950, in Osceola, Ark., to Francis E. Nesmeyer, who survives at the home.
She attended St. Louis schools.
She was an account clerk at the Division of Aging, Missouri Department of Social Services, from 1980 to 1990.
Other survivors include: two sons, Mark F. Nesmeyer, Holts Summit, and James P. Nesmeyer, Taos; two daughters, Cathy Dillard, Elgin, Ill., and Susan M. Nesmeyer, Holts Summit; one brother, Bob Farnen, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three sisters, Marge Taylor, St. Peters, Rosemarie Dubbs, Lake of the Ozarks, and Theresa Manna, St. Louis; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private burial will be held.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Coalition for Quality Care.
COLLYOTT
James G. Collyott, 63, Centertown, died Oct. 6, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 23, 1936, in Harrison, Ark., a son of William D. Sr. and Opal Marie Johnson Collyott. He was married Oct. 24, 1986, in Centertown to Linda Jones, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Tipton High School and a veteran of the Marine Corps. He served in the Air Force for 20 years until his retirement as a tech sergeant.
He then was employed as a counselor with the Missouri Department of Corrections. He worked at Algoa Correctional Center and Central Missouri Correctional Center until his retirement in 1996.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Shirley Warren, Wichita Falls, Texas , Cindy Nelson, Burkburnett, Texas , Sylvia Bennett, Tipton, and Suzy Gilliam, Centertown; two sisters, Claire Reed, state of Iowa, and Mary Gochenour, Otterville; two brothers, Lavaughan Collyott, Springfield, and William Delbert Collyott Jr., Troy; and five grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held in Centertown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
METZ
Alice R. Metz, 84, Wildwood, Fla., formerly of Jefferson City, died Oct. 3, 1999, at Monroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Fla.
She was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Kansas City, a daughter of Lucian and Josephine Center Purdue. She was married July 7, 1945, in Olathe, Kan., to Orla A. "Bill" Metz, who died Jan. 24, 1981.
A resident of the Jefferson City area until 1988, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors include: one son, William A. Metz, Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; one daughter, Mary A. Caudle, Lake Panasoffkee; and one brother, Robert Purdue, Kansas City.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
SIEFKEN
Roland Siefken, 66, Versailles, died Oct. 4, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Wellsburg, Iowa, a son of August and Gertie Harms Siefken. He was married March 30, 1954, to Ardythe Lindaman, who survives at the home.
He was a retired welder for G.M.T. Corporation in Waverly, Iowa. An Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion and AmVets.
Other survivors include: five daughters, Josie Siefken, Ames, Iowa, Christie Sanford, Garnavillo, Iowa, Ginnie Steele, Dexter, Iowa, Barbie Hoins, Carleton, Neb., and Leslie Thrasher, Perrysburg, Ohio; two brothers, Edwin Siefken, Blairstown, Iowa, and Donald Siefken, Wellsburg; one sister, Marian Koch, Wellsburg; and 12 grandchildren.
One son, Scott H. Siefken, died Oct. 5, 1994.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Diane Miller will officiate. The remains will be cremated after the service.
WALLIS
Tommy Wallis, 89, Montreal, died Oct. 5, 1999, at Tri-County Nursing Home, Richland.
He was born Oct. 13, 1909, near Montreal, a son of James M. and Miranda Jane Pope Wallis. He was married Sept. 12, 1937, to Bethel B. Edwards, who died Jan. 6, 1991.
He worked his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a member of Freedom Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one son, James M. Wallis, Richland; two daughters, Mildred "Millie" Brotherton, Lebanon, and Marilyn Lowery, Montreal; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

HELMS
Betty E. Helms, 73, Holts Summit, died Oct. 5, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of Joseph and Martha Nell Hardin Bayne.
She was a graduate of Canton High School, Canton, and Gem City Business College, Quincy. She was employed at Jordan and Kolb Real Estate and Insurance Co. and the Missouri Lions Club Office and Eye Tissue Bank.
She worked for the State of Missouri for more than 20 years, retiring from the Department of Budget and Finance at Lincoln University in 1992.
She was a member of the American Business Women's Association and the National Secretaries Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith L. Buchanan, Holts Summit.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Grove Cemetery, Canton.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Lions Eye Tissue Bank.
BODE
Edwin Henry Bode, 87, Crestwood, formerly of Taos, died Oct. 4, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Crestwood.
He was born Oct. 6, 1911, in Taos, a son of Stephan and Johanna Koetting Bode. He was married Jan. 30, 1942, in Port Hudson, to Helen Genevieve Bompart, who survives at the home.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and attended Cedar Grove and St. Francis Xavier Catholic schools. A pipe fitter until his retirement, he was a member of Pipe Fitters Local Union 439, East St. Louis, Ill.
He was a member of Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church, Webster Groves.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Diane Helen Joseph, Ballwin; three brothers, Cletus Bode and Fred Bode, both of Jefferson City, and Alexander Bode, Fulton; four sisters, Marie Stokes, Taos, and Mildred Landwehr, Gertrude Kaemmerlen and Helen Blum, all of Jefferson City; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos. The Rev. Robert Kraus will officiate. His remains were donated to St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gerber Chapel, Webster Groves.
CREMER
Lydia Joan Cremer, 73, Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Jefferson City, died Oct. 5, 1999, at her home.
She was born March 27, 1926, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Elmer and Rose Stockman. She was married to Lee Cremer, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, where she held several offices at the Brackettville, Texas , post.
Other survivors include: six sons, Joseph Cremer, Albuquerque, George Cremer, O'Fallon, Ill., Thomas Cremer, Jefferson City, William Cremer, St. Louis, John Cremer, Del Rio, Texas , and Richard Cremer, Houston, Texas ; three daughters, Marianne Gutierrez, Albuquerque, Linda Blackburn, San Antonio, Texas , and Theresa Portales, Del Rio; one brother, Paul Stockman, Jefferson City; four sisters, Rosemary Long and Donna Straub, both of Jefferson City, Ann Schenk, Chandler, Ariz., and Carol Jacknewitz, Belleville, Ill.; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Del Rio. Burial will be in Del Rio Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at G.W. Cox Funeral Home, Del Rio, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
