She is survived by her husband, Monroe Smith, by four daughters, Sharon Warden of Arnold, Paula (Mrs. Les) Gordon of Pinckneyville, IL, Resa Robinson of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Charlotte Bass of Georgetown, IN, by a son, Medwick Pfeifer of Oblong, IL, by ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, by four step-sons, by eight step-grandchildren, and by a great-step-grandson.
Before her retirement, Opal worked for the Biltwell Clothing Company. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the Norman L Rigdon Post 5896 Ladies’ Auxillary.

Florence Elizabeth Russell

She is survived by a son, Ray and dear daughter-in-law, Alice Russell of Farmington, by two grandsons, Terry and wife Becky Russell and Kevin and wife Judy Russell all of Farmington, by a sister, Lee Benson and husband Arthur of Farmington, by a brother Raymond Hooss and wife Virginia of Farmington, and by four great- grandchildren, Matthew, Holly, Whitney and Logan Russell all of Farmington. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Mrs. Russell was a member of the Iron Mountain Assembly of God Church.

Luther C. Olive

He is survived by his wife, Stella (Bible) Olive, by two sons, Thomas Olive and Kenny and wife Cheryl Olive, by three daughters, Velma (Mrs. Richard) Harper, Nancy (Mrs. Dennis) Crawford, and Anita (Mrs. Harold) Martin, by twelve grandchildren and two great-grandsons, all of Farmington. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Mr. Olive proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War.
He was a member of The Knights of Pythians, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Mrs. Don) Bussen, Jean (Mrs. Tom) Robinson, both of St. Louis, by three sons, Leonard Naeger of St. Louis, Donald Naeger of Pataskala, OH, and Barry Naeger of Perryville, by eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Betty Jean Lollar

She is survived by a daughter, Janis Chatman of Farmington, a son Tim Lollar and wife Robyn of Golden, CO; by four grandchildren, Joe Chatman and wife Jill of Memphis, TN, Chris, Kara, and Kevyn Lollar of Golden, CO; by a great-granddaughter, Taylor Brachbill, and by an expected great-grandson, Jackson McHenry Chatman. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Before her retirement, Betty was the secretary for the Washington-Franklin School for 17 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. She also served as a member of the Parkland Health Center Auxiliary and the Selective Service Board.

Harold William Kassabaum

He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Harter and dear son-in-law Dale of Sedalia, MO, by four grandchildren, Michelle Jackson , Erica Hampton both of Tulsa, OK, Chad Harter of Gladstone, MO, and Marc Bradley Harter of Sedalia, MO, by three great-grandchildren, by a brother-in-law, Clifford Cromer of Grass Valley, CA, by a sister-in-law, Fern Boyer of Chalfont, PA. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Mr. Kassabaum worked at the St. Joe Lead Company. He was also a member of the Pendelton Masonic Lodge. He operated Kassa’s Marina from his residence in this area for many years.

He is survived by a son, William Myers and wife Kelly of Desloge, by a step- daughter, Becky Halpin and husband Donnie of Fredericktown, by a step-son, Larry Busha of Farmington, by a sister, Ann Ogle of Metropolis, IL, by seven grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, and Jake Halpin and Kevin and Stephanie Myers, and Avery Busha, by three nephews, Kevin, Danny, and Jeff Ogle, by a great niece, and by four great nephews.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force
Before his retirement, Mr. Myers was a painter.

Dowe Jefferson Lance

He is survived by his wife, Margueritte (Coffman) Lance, by a daughter, Margueritte Susan (Mrs. Fred) Green of Westford, MA, by a sister Edith Adkins of Denver, CO, by a brother, Sanford Lance of Springfield, MO, and by three grandchildren, Jeff, Anna Lisa, and Elizabeth, all of Westford, MA. Numerous relatives, colleagues, and friends also survive.
Mr. Lance attended Southeast Missouri State University, received his Law Degree from the University of Missouri and was admitted to the Missouri Bar Association in 1948. His professional career included: the law firm of Maus & Lance at Monett, Public Service Examiner for the State of Missouri, Legal Secretary to the Governor of Missouri, attorney for the Legal Department at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., Assistant Campaign Manager of “Blair for Governor of Missouri,” partner in the firm of Cook, Murphy, Lance & English, of St. Louis, and Armstrong, Teasdale, Kramer & Vaughan. He was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District, appointed by President Kennedy and served under Attorney General Bobby Kennedy, Board Member of the Police Commissioners of St. Louis County, and a member of the Law School Foundation at the University of Missouri. He served during World War II as a Lieutenant Aviator with the U.S. Navy. He was also a Fellow of the American College Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Bar Foundation, member American Bar Assn., Missouri Bar Board of Governors, Bar Association of St. Louis, the University Missouri Law Alumni, where he served as president in 1970 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1975, the American Arbitration Assn., the Order of Coif Club, and a 32nd degree Mason.

Mrs. Huff worked at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center as a Nurses Aid for many years.
