NEFF
Ruby M. Neff, 97, Lee's Summit, formerly of Jefferson City, died Sept. 25, 1999, at John Knox Village Care Center, Lee's Summit.
She was born July 11, 1902, in Cole Camp, a daughter of John W. and Irene C. Eldridge Neff.
She attended school in Sedalia. A resident of Central Missouri until 1992, she was employed as a sales clerk at Jacque's Ladies Clothing Store until her retirement in 1966.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
She is survived by one sister, Nancy Stanforth, Lee's Summit.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.
ROBINSON
Joseph W. "Bill" Robinson, 72, Camdenton, died Sept. 25, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born March 8, 1927, in Hindsboro, Ill., a son of Edward and Margaret Boland Robinson. He was married Aug. 13, 1950, in Tuscola, Ill., to Mary Lou Houser, who survives at the home.
A Lake resident for the past 34 years, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Arcola Catholic Church, Arcola, Ill.
He co-owned and co-operated Wilson's Resort before retiring.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. The Rev. James Fuemmeler will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
SEEK
Eunice Ann McClure Seek, 76, Eldon, died Sept. 25, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Sedalia, a daughter of Lester H. and Elsie Lee Perdue McClure. She was married Aug. 1, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., to Billy E. Seek, who died June 22, 1968.
She was a homemaker and did volunteer work. She attended the Methodist church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Albin, Boonville, and Lauren Fox, Bowling Green, Ky.; four sons, Billy M. Seek, Festus, Robert J. Seek, Eldon, Dr. Melvin M. Seek, Ocala, Fla., and Kenneth G. Seek, Boneville, Ga.; two brothers, Jerry McClure, Boonville, and Lee McClure, Waynesboro, Va.; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Janice Keeley, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eldon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Fred Smith will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
THARP
Donald R. Tharp, 62, Platte City, formerly of Jefferson City, died Sept. 24, 1999, at Trinity-Lutheran Hospital, Kansas City.
He was born May 15, 1937, in Jefferson City, a son of Roy E. and Vivian Strong Tharp. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Aug. 21, 1999, to Sandra Kay Ball, who survives at the home.
He was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He graduated from Park College with a bachelor's degree in economics. He worked as an editor for the Platte County Dispatch from 1961-1963. In 1966, he received a master's degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia. During graduate school, he was a photographer and reporter for the Columbia Daily Tribune. From 1966-1968, he was chief juvenile officer for the 13th Judicial Circuit, which served Boone and Callaway counties.
He obtained a law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1971. From 1969-1971, he was the chief juvenile officer for the 6th Judicial Circuit, in Platte County. He was chief juvenile officer in the 16th Judicial Circuit, in Jackson County, from 1979-1982.
He served as the mayor of Platte City from 1973-1976. He was the assistant prosecuting attorney for Platte County from 1974-1978. From 1982-1985, he was the general counsel at the Missouri Division of Insurance. He spent the last 14 years in private practice.
He was a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and Missouri Bar Association and was past president of the Platte County Bar Association. He was a member of the Missouri Juvenile Justice Association.
Other survivors include: four sons, Randall Tharp, Kansas City, Lee Tharp, Jefferson City, Maj. Adam Tharp, Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Carter Tharp, Columbia; one daughter, Alison Tharp Martin, Columbia; two brothers, Steve Tharp, Mexico, and Michael Tharp, Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Donna Sue Caine, Mexico, and Judy Wickham, Warrensburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Platte City. Burial will be in New Market Cemetery, New Market.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home, Platte City.
Memorials are suggested to the Donald R. Tharp Trust to benefit the track program at the Platte County R-3 School.
TRULOVE
Esther Trulove, 84, Osage Beach, died Sept. 25, 1999, at Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach.
She was born March 1, 1915, in Joplin, a daughter of Grover and Edna Kenny. She was married May 10, 1936, in Miami, Okla., to Sidney Monroe Trulove, who died Nov. 7, 1985.
She was a nurse assistant.
Survivors include: three sons, Lon Trulove, Wichita, Kan., Sidney M. Trulove, Marysville, Calif., and Robert E. Trulove, Delta Junction, Alaska; two daughters, Rose Mary Masson, Springfield, and Carlin Ruth Blair, Holts Summit; two sisters, Ruth Schnick, Joplin, and Mary Jackson, Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One son, Michael Trulove, and one daughter, Esther Trulove, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
BREID
Lorraine "Sis" Mosley Breid, 89, Fulton, died Sept. 26, 1999, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
She was born Jan. 19, 1910, in Callaway County, a daughter of Benjamin T. and Rena Dunham Mosley. She was married May 19, 1929, to Russell Glenn "Poodle" Breid, who died Jan. 20, 1994.
A Fulton High School graduate, she worked at Ovid Bell Press, retiring in 1975.
She was a genealogist and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society and Court Street United Methodist Church in Fulton.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Breid, Columbia, and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Fulton Manor Care Center.
FRIEDMEYER
Irene J. Friedmeyer, 87, California, died Sept. 26, 1999, in California.
She was born July 8, 1912, in Stringtown, a daughter of John J. and Katherine E. Horak Strobel. She was married Nov. 15, 1931, in California, to Arthur Martin Friedmeyer, who died July 20, 1991.
She owned and worked at Friedmeyer's California Construction Supplies. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California, where she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. She also was a member of the Ladies Aide, Evening Guild, Altar Guild and Lutheran Seniors.
She was a member of the Country and Town Extension Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Norman Friedmeyer, Plattsmouth, Neb., and Earl Friedmeyer, California; one daughter, Doris Nothnagel, California; and one sister, Milda Hagemeyer, California.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Peter Kurowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

GAGNIER
Cliff A. Gagnier, 75, Macks Creek, died Sept. 25, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Bottineau, N.D., a son of Arthur L. and Blanche Roberge Gagnier. He was married May 21, 1953, in Kansas City, to Dolores Golston, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran, he was a carpenter and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Camdenton.
Other survivors include: three sons, Clayton A. Gagnier, Macks Creek, Mark E.A. Gagnier, Talkeetna, Alaska, and Jaime L. Gagnier, Skagway, Alaska; three daughters, Deborah A. Campbell, Skagway, Rebecca S. Gagnier, Macks Creek, and Sabra J. Gagnier, Camdenton; three brothers, Rene Gagnier, Camdenton, Joe Ray Gagnier, Yakima, Wash., and Maurice Gagnier, Detroit Lake, Minn.; one sister, Betty Ann Diesem, Rochert, Minn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 p.m. Thursday in Macks Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Feummeler will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, with a rosary service at 6 p.m.
HANCOCK
B.P. "Bev" Hancock, 93, Eldon, died Sept. 27, 1999, at the Mexico Veterans Home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1906, in Hamlet, N.C., a son of Beverly P. Sr. and Ella Chivers Hancock. He was married May 10, 1940, in Lamar, to Catherine Marie Tuck, who died in March 1979. He was married to Sara Emaline, who died in 1990.
A 22-year veteran of the Army Air Corps, he was an inspector and test pilot with Lockheed Aircraft in Georgia, and with McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis.
He owned and operated an antique store in Donaldsonville, Ga., and in Lamar.
He was a bee keeper for many years. He moved to Eldon 11 years ago.
Survivors include: two daughters, Anita Rogers, Barnett, and Mary Catherine Stewart, Springfield; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eight step grandchildren.
One son, John Beverly Hancock, and one great-granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jerry Frye will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
