Catherine M. Gillespie of Farmington passed away on October 26, 2002, at her residence at the age of 84 years. She was born on February 24, 1918, at Jennings, MO. the daughter of the late John Francis and Catherine (Wilhelm) Hanebrink. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bryan King Gillespie and by a daughter, June Mary Gillespie.
Mrs. Gillespie was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane Mary Kiely and husband, Timothy of Union, and Kathleen C. Gaspard and husband Harold of Antonia, by two sons, Tom Gillespie and wife Mary of Farmington and James B. Gillespie and wife Linda of Doe Run, by a sister, Jane B. (Mrs. Ray) Ruby of Jonesburg, by fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2002. Funeral services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the New Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the St. Judes Hospital of Memphis, TN.

Anna Sue Collins of Farmington passed away on October 24, 2002, at the Des Peres Hospital at the age of 68 years. She was born on April 12, 1934, at Deleplane, AR, the daughter of the late Levi Jack and Willie Edna (Garrett) Collins. Before her retirement, Ms. Collins worked for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a clerk.
She is survived by cousins’, Cory, Dan, and Mark Dunuhue of Denver, CO, and by many friends.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2002. Funeral services will be held at the Cozean Chapel on Monday at 10 a.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown. Memorials may be directed to the Animal Protection Association or to the Humane Society.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice (Thompson) Miller of Farmington, by a son, Jay Miller, a daughter, Jennifer Miller both of Morning Sun, Iowa, a brother, Rick Miller and wife Mary, all of Denison, Iowa, and a grandson, Chase Miller of Morning Sun, Iowa. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
Mr. Miller was the Circulation Manager of the Daily Journal. He was a member of the Lions Club of Farmington and the Lions Club of Morning Sun, Iowa.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel, at Farmington, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 with funeral services to follow at the chapel. A visitation will be also be held at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 29, at the United Methodist Church of Morning Sun, Iowa. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun. Memorials may be directed to the Morning Sun Youth League or to the Morning Sun Lions Club.

Before her retirement, Miss Janis had been employed by the Trimfoot Company for 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington, where she helped in the nursery department for many years

Before her retirement, Mrs. Joggerst worked at the Parkview Monument Works Shop along with a special friend, Raymond Gordon, who preceded her in death. She was also a hairdresser in the Farmington area

She is survived by a daughter, Jo-Ann (Mrs. Gene) Thompson, by a grandson, Shelton Kent Lawson and wife Nancy all of Herculaneum, by two great-grandchildren, Erica Lawson Bouchardt of St. Louis and Andrea Lawson of Herculaneum.
Mrs. Lawson was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington, where she played the organ and piano for many years. Before her retirement, she had been employed at the State Hospital #4 and also together with her first husband, Herb Shelton, she operated Thal's super market for a number of years.
