HANNIBAL - Anna L. Roselle, 59, of Hannibal, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Robert Shobe will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roselle was born Aug. 15, 1943, in Hannibal to Homer and Pauline Shobe Brocaille.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia Filley and husband, Steve, of Gallatin; two sons, Brian Roselle of Charleston, S.C., and Adam Roselle and fiancé, Kelly King, of Hannibal; three brothers, Lloyd Brocaille, Homer E. Brocaille and Alfred L. Brocaille, all of Hannibal; and one sister, Adelaide Minor of Stoutsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Roselle was a customer service representative at Wal-Mart and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Pallbearers will be Brian Roselle, Adam Roselle, Steve Filley, Steve Minor, Leslie Minor and Michael Minor.
J.R. Conrad
May 21, 1936 - Jan. 6, 2003
HANNIBAL - J.R. Conrad 66, of Hannibal died at 12:07 Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Boone County Medical Center in Columbia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Holy Family Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. today at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mr. Conrad was born May 21, 1936, in Hannibal to Clay and Letha Burkinsha Conrad.
He was married to Donna DeLaPorte on June 17, 1961, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Julia Conrad, and Kathy Quintana and husband, Frank, all of Hannibal; three sons, Jerry Conrad and wife, Tracey, and Gary Conrad and wife, Maria, all of Hannibal, and Steven Conrad and wife, Rebecca, of Payson, Ill.; one sister, Maxine Crabill and husband, Bill, of Quincy, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey R. Conrad; and two brothers, James Conrad and Marion Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Holy Family Church and the VFW. He was a retired truck driver for Schwerman Truck Lines.
Pallbearers will be Sean Campfield, Joe Wagner, Brent Engle, Donald Crabill, Harold Conrad and Phillip Ryan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott, Jeremy, Jonathan, Klayton, Joseph, Jordan, Paul and Eriq.
Beulah Marjorie Lambert

BOWLING GREEN - Beulah Marjorie Lambert, 95, of Bowling Green, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Pike County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Amelung will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green.
Ms. Lambert was born July 24, 1907, in St. Louis to Harry Frank and Mildred Braund Lambert.
She was never married.
Survivors include one niece, Tina Hittler of St. Louis; and two nephews, Hugh Lambert of Chicago, Ill., and William Lambert of Leavenworth, Kan.
Ms. Lambert had been a domestic housekeeper.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
John W. Miller
HANNIBAL - John W. Miller, 83, of Hannibal, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Beth-Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services are pending at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Bob L. Brown

CANTON - Bob L. Brown, 72, of St. Patrick, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Canton to Orville and Isabelle Brown.
He was married to Hazel Oenning on Nov. 7, 1952, in Quincy, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Ewing; two daughters, Debbie Cooper of Keokuk, Iowa, and Cathy Emery of La Grange; one son, Roddy Brown of St. Patrick; four grandchildren, Jennifer Darley of Canton, Tara Emery of Kirksville, and Amy Brown and Gavin Brown of St. Patrick; two great-grandchildren, Meghan Darley and Kristina Darley of Canton; and two brothers, Charlie Brown of New London and Orville (Junie) Brown of Ewing.
He was preceded in death by his father and one infant brother.
Mr. Brown was a U.S. Marines veteran of the Korean War. He had lived in St. Patrick for 43 years, where he retired from farming 12 years ago.
Joan P. Lawson

BOWLING GREEN - Joan P. Lawson, 71, of Hannibal, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green. The Rev. Andrew O'Dowd will officiate. Burial will take place at Bowling Green Memorial Gardens Cemetery Saturday following the memorial service.
A luncheon will then be served in the church fellowship hall.
Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lawson was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Louisiana to Earnest (Joe) and Restora Branstetter Privett.
She was married to Robert L. Lawson. He survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Joni Pulliam of Utica, N.Y.; one grandson; her mother of Bowling Green; one brother, Bill Privett of Palatine, Ill., and two sisters, Elaine Niemeyer of New Hartford and Linda Akers of Corinth, Miss.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green.
Marie K. Wells
PALMYRA - Marie K. Wells, 77, of Palmyra and formerly of Smithshire, Ill., died at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Ellison Cemetery south of Smithshire.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the funeral chapel.
Louema Young Keach Howerton

HANNIBAL - Louema Young Keach Howerton, 98, of Mexico and formerly of Hannibal, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville. The Rev. Jan Bond will officiate.
No visitation is planned. Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Howerton was born Sept. 2, 1904, near Wellsville to James Frederick and Isadora Heiney Young.
She was married to Harry Keach. He preceded her in death. She later married Elmo Howerton, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Betty Tapley of Elsberry; stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one stepson, David Howerton; and seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Howerton worked in the office at International Shoe Co. in Hannibal. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Hannibal. She had made her home in Mexico since 1992.
Dorothy L. Wallace Lamberson

ELSBERRY - Dorothy LaVerna Wallace Lamberson, 55, of Foley, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. The Rev. Raymond Doussard will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at the Elsberry City Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lamberson was born Oct. 3, 1947, at Elsberry Holiness Church in Elsberry to Victor and Dorothy Vaughn Wallace.
She was married to David Ray (Chopper) Lamberson on Feb. 13, 1999, in Clarksville. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth V. Awe of Pacific ad Lindell (Kyle) Barber of Farmington; one brother, Robert Leafy Wallace of Foley; three sisters, Dora Mae Landwier of Eolia, and Opal Riffle and Peggy Harding, both of Elsberry.
She was preceded in death by her father; two stepfathers, Clarence Stewart and Ken Kohn; her mother, Dorothy (Dot) Kohn; one sister, Victoria Miller; and one son, George Awe.
John W. Miller

HANNIBAL - John W. Miller, 83, of Hannibal, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Beth-Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Alvin Young will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Hannibal to Benjamin and Corda Taylor Miller.
He was married to Audrey F. Klossing on Jan. 19, 1938, in Hannibal. She preceded him in death May 31, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Tharp of Hannibal; one son, Larry Miller and wife Donna, of Hannibal; one sister, Helen Kauffman of Lancaster, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Miller; and one sister, Annie Miller.
Mr. Miller was a retired machine operator with Calcium Carbonate in Marblehead, Ill. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Richard Tharp Jr., Danny Selsor, Ron Smith, John Johnston, Steve Jamison, Donald Ward and Jason Pritchett.
Mildred Turney

SHELBINA - Mildred Turney, 85, of Shelbina, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital East in Fort Thomas, Ky.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Shelbina. Jim Bilbro will officiate. Burial will be at Shelbina Cemetery, Sunset Slope Addition.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turney was born May 20, 1917, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Roy and Mabel Murray Robinson.
She was married to Donald Emerson Turney Sr. on March 8, 1936, in Shelbina. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Turney Jr. of Eatonton, Ga., and Gary Turney of Florence, Ky.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorriane Barker of Fort Smith, Ark., and Marie Standridge; and one brother, Lynn Robinson of Alma, Ark.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
