TROY - Robert L. (Bob) Martinek, 53, of Sunnyvale, Calif., and formerly of Hawk Point, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at his home.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point. Father Frank Koreninger will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. The McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:40 a.m. Friday, at the church.
Mr. Martinek was born June 12, 1948, in Washington, Mo., to Stanley (Bob) and Alice Rose Wittman Martinek.
Survivors include his parents of Hawk Point; two sisters, Mary Rose Brandwein of Warrenton and Rose Mary Martinek of St. Louis; and three brothers, Gerald Martinek and Daniel Martinek, both of Hawk Point and David Martinek of Troy.
The family wishes to include as survivors, nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Martinek had worked as a mechanical engineer at Nikon Inc. in California.
Memorials may be made to Masses, in care of the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Brian Martinek, Aaron Brandwein, Andrew Brandwein, Adam Brandwein, Joshua Martinek and Alex Brandwein.

HANNIBAL - Arthur Dean McUmber, 89, of Hannibal, died at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at his home.
Funeral services are pending at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Wilbert M. (Mike) Fink
Nov. 13, 1935 - Jan. 23, 2002
SILEX - Wilbert M. (Mike) Fink Jr., 66, of Silex, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Silex with Rev. Jim Huffman and Rev. Steve Dull officiating. Disposition will be at the Memorial Park Crematory in St. Louis.
Mr. Fink was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Flat, the son of Wilbert and Ella Steele Fink Sr. On Nov. 14, 1980, in Batavia, Ohio, he married Eve Momphard. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Ella Fink of Creve Coeur; two daughters, Michelle Bruns and husband Tom, and Sheila Istvan, all of Silex; three sons, Von Watson and wife Sharon, Shawn Watson and wife Sherry, and Todd Watson, all of Lincoln County; one sister, Bea Fink; eight grandchildren, Michael, Tess and Nicholas Bruns, A.J. Bowman, Travis Watson, Kevin Watson Bruning, Remington Watson and Shanna Brown. Also surviving are many sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and friends.
He was a licensed professional engineer. He retired from McDonnell Aircraft (now Boeing Company) where he was a quality assurance manager. He also worked for the Air Force and Navy at the plant. He traveled extensively overseas as well as stateside. He had a wonderful career and made many friends.
Mr. Fink was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Illinois, the Moolah Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Silex Lions Club, Missouri Tree Farmers and a member of Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). He enjoyed hunting and fishing and building computers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Rev. Kenneth Brockel
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Rev. Kenneth Eugene Brockel died Jan. 23, 2002 at the Jeanne Jugan Center, Little Sisters of the Poor, Kansas City, Mo.
A visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m. The Most Rev. John R. Gaydos and the Most Rev. Michael F. McAuliffe will preside.
Another visitation will begin at 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the St. William Church in Perry. A funeral mass will begin at noon Saturday, Jan. 26. The Most Rev. Michael F. McAuliffe will preside. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Historic Shrine in rural Center.

TROY - Jennifer Nicole Moxley, 21, of Troy, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the Kemper-Marsh-Millard Funeral Home in Troy. The Rev. Mary Ellen Meyer will officiate. Burial will be at the Troy City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moxley was born April 5, 1980, in St. Louis to James and Donna Weinrich Moxley.
Survivors include her parents; one sister, Danielle Moxley of the home; paternal grandmother, Sara Moxley of Troy; maternal grandmother, Janet Cohea and husband, Jerry, of Wentzville; maternal grandfather, Donald Weinrich and wife, Ann, of Hawk Point; and maternal great-grandmother, D'Arline Preul of Warrenton.
Mrs. Moxley was a 1998 graduate of Troy Buchanan High School and was attending Maryville University, where she was a senior. She worked for Troy Furniture and Carpet and had worked for Cox and Cohea Chevrolet-Buick of Wentzville. She was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
The family wishes to include that she enjoyed shopping, was an avid football fan and enjoyed playing with her collies and Lhasa apsos.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

HANNIBAL - Barbara B. Martin, 62, of Hull, Ill., died at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

BOWLING GREEN - Pearl Seiller, 88, of Cyrene, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Cedarcrest Nursing Home in Washington.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Antioch Presbyterian Church near Bowling Green. Tthe Rev. Chris Pierce will officiate. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Mrs. Seiller was born Feb. 15, 1913, in St. Louis, to Edward L. and Wilhemia Louisa Muessemeier Bruns.
She was married to Walter J. Seiller. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Walter J. Seiller of Farmington and Wayne J. Seiller of Cyrene; one daughter, Jacqueline Price of Union; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to include as survivors, two daughters-in-law, Linda Seiller and Nellie Seiller; one son-in-law, Ken Price; and many foster children.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Alt.
Mrs. Seiller was a member of the Antioch Presbyterian Church. She was active in civic affairs and belonged to the Rebecca Lodge in Bowling Green for more than 50 years. She was a charter member of the Pike Pioneers. She was a member of the Pioneer Rhythm Band and helped establish OATS bus and meals on wheels services.

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Mary L. Tuley, 78, of Eudora, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Eudora Nursing Center in Eudora.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, Kan. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence.
A parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
Mrs. Tuley was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Monroe City to Edmund J. and Beatrice Tewell Pike.
She was married to Paul A. Tuley on Oct. 4, 1952, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula M. Conlin of Lawrence and Patricia A. Tuley of Topeka, Kan.; one son, Scott A. Tuley of Lawrence; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Tuley was a 1945 graduate of St. John's Hospital of Nursing in St. Louis. She was a registered nurse and worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John's Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella.

BOWLING GREEN - Mason Cash Benn Jr., 65, of Bowling Green and formerly of Fullerton, Neb., died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the Moore Pike Nursing Home in Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Dr. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Benn was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Frankford to Mason Cash and Kathryn Holman Benn.
He was formerly married to Barbara Jean Stevens.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Beth Gibson of Bowling Green, Barbie Sachs of Columbia; three stepgrandchildren; and two brothers, Harry Benn of Frankford and Perry Benn of Michigan City, Ind.
The family wishes to include as survivors two nieces, Andrea Reinwald of Pawnee, Ill., and Megan Benn of Frankford.
Mr. Benn was raised in Missouri. He lived in Fullerton, Neb., for the past 20 years before moving back to this area. He was a 1954 graduate of Frankford High School, a 1958 graduate of Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, currently Truman State University, and a 1963 graduate with a master's degree from Colorado State College. He taught for six years in the St. Louis Public School System.
Mr. Benn had been employed as credit manager for the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, administrator of Smith Barr Nursing Home in Louisiana, and was the administrator for 14 years for Fullerton Manor in Fullerton.
He was a member of the American Poultry Association and Cedar River Masonic Lodge in Fullerton. He was a national member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He had been a member of the Frankford Christian Church and later transferred his membership to Fullerton.

ELSBERRY - Jennie Mae Terrell, 89, of Elsberry and formerly of Winfield, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Elsberry Health Care Center.
A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Father Greg Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe.

Mrs. Terrell was born July 10, 1912, in Monett, Ark., to Addison and DonDora Pitts Hall.
She was married to Glen Shields Terrell on Nov. 1, 1941, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1968.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Germer of St. Peters and Glenda Burkemper of Old Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Zeal Parsons of St. Charles.
The family wishes to include as a survivor, one son-in-law, Glennon Burkemper.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Henry Hall; and one sister, John Elum Hoover.
Mrs. Terrell owned and operated the Shell Restaurant for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

BOWLING GREEN - Helena M. Reeder, 87, of Louisiana and formerly of Bowling Green, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Smith-Barr Manor in Louisiana.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. The Rev. Chris Pierce will officiate. Burial will be at the Bowling Green Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reeder was born May 14, 1914, in Bowling Green to Charles and Ruth Johnson Gorton.
She was married to Harry L. Reeder in 1936. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1970.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Waelder of Hannibal; and one granddaughter, Lynn DeClue of Mexico.
The family wishes to include as survivors, one son-in-law, Robert DeClue; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kelcie DeClue, both of Mexico; two nephews, William Keller and his wife, Anne, and Marion Jones; one niece, Bess Castagna; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.
Mrs. Reeder lived in the Bowling Green and Louisiana area all of her life. She attended Providence Concord Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Hill and Hollow Club.
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Charles Becker, Russell Becker, Fred Gamm, Vernon Gamm, Wayne Gamm and Paul R. Williams.
