George Minor

LOUISIANA - George Minor, 76, of Louisiana, died Jan. 9, 2002, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Francis Sheppard, assisted by the Rev. Mark Sheppard, will officiate. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Minor was born May 20, 1925, in Louisiana to John E. and Lucy Huggart Minor.
He was married to Maxine Martin on Feb. 22, 1954, in Louisiana. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Larry Eugene Minor of Guthrie, Okla., Lynn Minor of Sullivan and Russell Minor of Hazelwood; one daughter, Linda Rogers of St. Peters; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Henry Nichelson of Whittier, Calif., William Minor, John Minor and Robert Minor, all of Louisiana, and James Minor of Washington, Mo.; and three sisters, Jenette Davis and Edna Buchanan, both of Louisiana and Ella Smith of Rockport, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Deloris Walker.
Mr. Minor served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a sign painter in Louisiana for more than 60 years, a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, VFW Post 4610 in Clarksville, American Legion Post 370 and Elks Lodge 791.
Marie C. Bothe
May 8, 1914 - Jan. 9, 2002
WINFIELD - Marie Catherine Bothe, 87, of Old Monroe, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe. The Rev. Jeanne Lischer will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul UCC Cemetery near Old Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
Mrs. Bothe was born May 8, 1914, in Old Monroe, to William and Rosina F. Kurtz Dickbernd.
She was married to Albert Henry Bothe on Oct. 16, 1935, in Old Monroe. He preceded her in death June 4, 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Bothe of Old Monroe and Kenneth Bothe of Wentzville; and three grandchildren, Jason Bothe, Kelly Bothe and Laura Bothe.
The family wishes to include as survivors, one daughter-in-law, Janet Bothe; one granddaughter-in-law, Stacey Bothe; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Christopher.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Elmer Dickbernd and William Dickbernd; and one sister, Olga Krueger.
Mrs. Bothe was a member of the Ladies Aid at St. Paul United Church of Christ and an avid quilter at WINCO in Winfield.
Memorials may be made to Evangelical Children's Home, in care of the funeral home.
Betty Ann Glenn

HANNIBAL - Betty Ann Glenn, 71, of Jacksonville, Ill., and formerly of Hannibal, died at 3:29 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at James O'Donnell Funeral home in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Glenn was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Hannibal to Henry W. and Dixie Gladys Ewing Glascock.
She was married to Jack R. Glenn on Jan. 1, 1952, in Hannibal. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kellie Dixie Kleinlein of Jacksonville, Ill., and Nicinda Rose Glenn of Pawnee, Ill.; two sons, Robert Myron Glenn of Versailles, Ill., and Joel Todd Glenn of Taylorville, Ill.; her stepmother, Alma (Sis) Glascock of Hannibal; one brother, Donald Glascock of St. Augustine, Fla.; five sisters, Mary Herring and Henriann Baltrusaites, both of Hannibal, Rosella Waugh of Louisiana, Ellen Smola of Kansas City, Mo., and Kathy Taylor of Palmyra; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Glascock and Charles Glascock.
Mrs. Glenn was a homemaker and a Christian by faith.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
Beulah L. Ferguson

HANNIBAL - Beulah Leona Ferguson, 92, of Hannibal and formerly of Springfield, Mo., died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Luther Manor Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at First Baptist Church in Springfield. Dr. Edgar Burks will officiate. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.
No visitation is planned. James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ferguson was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Wheaton to George E. and Mary Ann Frazier Gillum.
She was married to Dee A. Ferguson on May 11, 1930, in Wheaton. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1978.
Survivors include one son, John Ferguson of Hannibal; two daughters, Elaine Wilson of Lake Ozark and Linda Vest of North Kansas City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Gillum and Lester Gillum.
Mrs. Ferguson taught school for 40 years before her 1972 retirement. She taught in the Wheaton, Stella, Noel, Crane, Cabool and Tarkio public schools.
Later she and her husband moved to Springfield, where they became active members of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ferguson attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar and SMS in Springfield. She graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a degree in elementary education.
Pallbearers will be Chad Cooper, Danny Wilson, Jim Tellman, Nicholas Tellman, Matt Ferguson and Eric Vest.
Roma D. Kimberling

HANNIBAL - Roma Dea Kimberling, 87, of Jefferson City and formerly of Hannibal, died at 9:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Capital Healthcare Center in Jefferson City.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Grand View Funeral Chapel in Hannibal. The Rev. Roger Obermeier will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kimberling was born Aug. 2, 1914, in Hannibal to Roscoe and Ella Vaught Binns.
She was married to Byron Kimberling on May 20, 1949. He survives.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Binns.
Mrs. Kimberling was a member of the First Christian Church in Hannibal and later a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church. She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1934. She sang for the Joe Williams Orchestra and directed plays for the Empire Production Co. of Kansas City. She owned and operated a furniture store in Sullivan for 12 years before moving to Jefferson City.
Memorials may be made to the New Bloomfield Christian Church in New Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be John Cave, Keith Thomas, Kenny Thomas, John Finley, Jack Maddox and David Mealy.
Harold Haines

Harold H. Haines, 97, of Hannibal, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Pastor James Bruns will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home.
Mr. Haines was born Jan. 28, 1904, in Burlington, Iowa, to Hardin and Mary Alice Shaffer Haines.
He was married to Leona Mae Lefever on Aug. 15, 1926, in Hannibal. She preceded him in death Jan. 28, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Hardin Haines of Hannibal; two daughters, Mary Lou Callicott of Hannibal and Judith Ann Weiler of Jeffersonville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty E. Ellyson; three brothers, Roy Haines, Martin Haines and Orrin Haines; and one sister, Leona Haug.
Mr. Haines was a retired construction worker and security guard. He attended Fifth Street Baptist Church and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He wrote a book titled "The Callaghan Male." He attended Wednesday senior citizens' dances for many years. He enjoyed watching boxing and traveling. In his youth, he was an undefeated wrestler.
Pallbearers will be Steven Haines, Michael Callicott, Randy Crabtree, Scott Callicott, Albert Haug and Erwin Weiler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Betty Parsons, Frank Oltman, Glen Cornelius and Bill Cornelius.
Florence Dickerson
HANNIBAL - Florence R. Dickerson, 72, of Hannibal, died at 4:29 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services are pending at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Robert E. Cramlett
Oct. 9, 1926 - Jan. 11, 2002
PALMYRA - Robert E. (Bob) Cramlett, 75, of Palmyra, died at 10:47 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. The Rev. Drew Sutor will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Cramlett was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Macon to Albert C. and Ailene Van Skike Cramlett.
He was married to Maybelle Foster and later to Velma King.
Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Lucille Snell Clark of the home; three sons, Gary Wayne Cramlett of Quincy, Ill., Bradley E. Cramlett and Kevin Cramlett, both of Galesburg, Ill., and Robert E. Snell III of Wentzville; four daughters, Bonnie Cramlett of Galesburg, and Jeannie Shade, Teresa Marquardt and Marcia Huber, all of Palmyra; one sister, Betty Ann Cox of Kenosha, Wis.; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
The family wishes to include as survivors, two sons-in-law, Jim Marquardt and Matt Huber; and one daughter-in-law, Tammy Snell.
He was preceded in death by one son, Clifford Cramlett; one sister; and two brothers.
Mr. Cramlett had worked as a foreman for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 43 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and attended First Christian Church in Palmyra. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Memorials may be made to Palmyra Flower City Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Troy Shade, Travis Shade, Anthony Huber, Trey Marquardt, Ryan Snell, Zachary Snell and Alex Huber.
Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Michelle Powell, Alison Johnston, Abby Huber and Taryn Marquardt.
Thomas W. Schaller

PALMYRA - Thomas William Schaller, 74, of Canton and formerly of Palmyra, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra. Fathers Pat Pierceall and David Cox will officiate. Burial, with graveside military rites by the Canton VFW Post No. 4083, will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Palmyra.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 7 p.m., today at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
Mr. Schaller was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Worland, Wyo., to William T. and Florence V. Carroll Schaller.
He was married to Dorothy L. Miller on June 7, 1952, in Palmyra. She preceded him in death Nov. 9, 1975. He later married Brenda Moon in 1979. She preceded him in death Sept. 11, 1988.
Survivors include four sons, Mark Schaller, James Schaller and Rock Schaller, all of Canton, and Nick Schaller of Olean; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Denise Schaller; and one sister, Margaret Jane Schaller.
Mr. Schaller was an engineering technician for the Soil Conservation Service. He was a 1945 graduate of Palmyra High School and was part of the 1943-1944 White Sweater Team. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Canton VFW Post No. 4083. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Hannibal.
Pallbearers will be Casey Schaller, Adam Schaller, Travis Schaller, Jared Schaller, Henry Frayer and Steve Phillips.

Joseph A. Sick
Feb. 13, 1913 - Jan. 9, 2002
WEBSTER GROVES - Joseph August Sick, 88, of Bowling Green and formerly of St. Peters, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Mary's Assumption in St. Louis. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Patricia Michael-Sick of Bowling Green; two sons, Edward Sick of Bowling Green and William Sick of Tacoma, Wash.; two daughters, JoAnn Allers of Wentzville and Margaret Bahrmasel of O'Fallon; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sick retired as foreman from Alco Controls after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
