HANNIBAL Pansy L. Waters, 38, of Hannibal, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Bill Dexheimer will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waters was born Jan. 15, 1963, in Hannibal to James Dodd Sr. and Joyce Patrick Dodd.
She was married to Daniel E. Waters Sr. on Aug. 15, 1987, in Hannibal. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother, Joyce Patrick Dodd of Hannibal; her father and stepmother, James Dodd Sr. and Mildred Dodd of Hannibal; one daughter, Chastity Waters of Hannibal; one son, Daniel E. Waters II of the home; one stepson, Sean Campfield of Hannibal; one brother, James Dodd Jr. of Hannibal; three sisters, Margaret Gora of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ethel Ledbetter and Mary McCullough, both of Hannibal; and one grandchild, Hannah Whitley of Hannibal.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Dean Dodd and William Fredrick Dodd.
Mrs. Waters worked as a line operator for the Pillsbury Hannibal Plant. She attended Saverton Community Church in Saverton.
Pallbearers will be Steve Waters, Les Smith, Charles Paxton, Brian Fuqua, Charles Dodd and James Dodd.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Ledbetter, Jimmy Brown, William Dodd and Cuda Dodd.
Leon Bowen
Sept. 18, 1923 - Jan. 22, 2001
CLARENCE Leon Bowen, 77, of Shelbina, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Clarence. The Rev. William Knowles will officiate. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bowen was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Knox County to Toby Hobert and Alma Mary Ann Duggins Bowen.
Survivors include 14 children, Patricia Dixon of Marceline, Leon Bowen Jr. of Alton, Ill., Janie Dixon of Kirksville, Paul Bowen, Sheryl Genebacher and Sharon Kendrick, all of Shelbina, Elaine Platz of Sedalia, Stanley Bowen and Jeffrey Bowen, both of Milan, Lela Jo Moeller of Rocheport, David Bowen of Wien, Becky Powell of Rutledge, Bill Bowen of Columbia and Brenda Overstreet of Edina; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Lloyd Bowen of Shelbina and Earl Bowen of Macon.
Mr. Bowen was a Christian by faith.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Louise Hudson
HANNIBAL Louise Hudson, 77, of Cottonwood, Ariz., and formerly of Hannibal, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood.
Funeral services are pending at the Smith Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Robert A. Willows
Oct. 7, 1925 Jan. 22, 2001
EWING Robert A. Willows, 75, of Ewing, died at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Williows will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing. The Rev. Tim Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Ewing Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will meet with friends after 6 p.m.
Mr. Willows was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Ewing to Ora T. and Elizabeth Washburn Willows. He was married to Edith Bates on Nov. 9, 1946, in Ewing. She preceded him in death Oct. 7, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Jody) Rudd of Quincy, Ill., and Paula E. Wallace of Ewing; three grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Marysville, Ohio, Ernie M. Wallace, Columbia, and Sarah Wallace, Ewing.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Willows was a graduate of Ewing High School and completed St. Louis Barber College in 1946. He was a member of Ewing First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 577, AF&AM, Carpenters and Joiners Union 189, he had served on the Ewing Town Board and Masonic Cemetery Association, and was a volunteer fireman for many years.
He was a carpenter and barber until his retirement. He had worked on many area road and building projects, serving as foreman on many of the projects. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1946, during World War II.
Pallbearers will be Richard Houchins, Robert Wallace, Bill Shults, Kenneth Brown, Harold Dehner and Kenneth Goings.
Memorials may be made to Ewing Memorial Cemetery.
James B. Jenkins
June 8, 1916-Jan. 19, 2001
CANTON James B. Jenkins, 84, of Williamstown, died Friday morning, Jan. 19, 2001, at the home of Hazel McDermott in Monticello, who was caring for him.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Providence Baptist Church near Williamstown. The Rev. Richard Vanbibber and Rev. Ernest Deatrick will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton. The family will be present after 6 p.m. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The Right Worshipful Brother Willard Hetzler will conduct.
Mr. Jenkins was born June 18, 1916, in Lewis County to Farrand and Addie Faye Hammet Jenkins.
Survivors include cousins and friends.
Mr. Jenkins was a farmer, banker and conservationist. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the Williamstown Lodge 370 A.F. & A.M. He had been associated with the Bank of Monticello for 40 years.
He was interested and concerned about the people of Lewis County and the surrounding area. On Sept. 12, 1999, the James B. Jenkins shooting range was dedicated to him at Deer Ridge Conservation Area in Lewis County by the Missouri Conservation Department.
Memorials may be made to the Williamstown Fire Department or the charity of the donor's choice.
Otis Renner

CLARENCE Otis Renner, 87, of Clarence, died at 4:03 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Clarence Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel in Clarence. Ministers Larry Groom and Paul Woods will officiate. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Renner was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Lentner to Shelby Francis and Elizabeth Irene Quigley Renner.
He was married to Hazel Irene Maddox on April 30, 1939, in Shelbina. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Brundage of Indianapolis, Ind., and Betty Sue Johnston of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Rob Wohlschlaeger and Leigh Wohlschlaeger, both of Indianapolis, Chris Johnston of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lynn McNeil of St. Louis; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Eddie Renner of Clarence; and one sister, Ethel Irene Britton of El Segundo, Calif.
Mr. Renner grew up in Shelby County and was a 1931 graduate of Shelbina High School. He first worked in California for North American Aircraft for 11 years. In 1951, he moved his family to Missouri and began farming north of Clarence. Before retiring he worked 10 years for E & E Equipment in Shelbyville selling Chrysler automobiles. He had been a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Clarence.

BOWLING GREEN John Niemeyer, 91, of Bowling Green, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 at the Moore-Pike Nursing Home in Bowling Green.

Jerry Wayne Dowell

LOUISIANA Jerry Wayne Dowell, 45, of Moberly and formerly of Louisiana, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at the Moberly Regional Center in Moberly.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dowell was born Jan. 5, 1956, in Louisiana to Louis E. Dowell and Della Fern McCormick Dowell.
Survivors include his mother of Louisiana; one brother, Roger Dowell Sr. of Clarksville; two sisters, Sharon House and Karen Clowers, both of Louisiana; and a special friend, Jim Baker of Moberly.
He was preceded in death by his father; one infant brother, Garry Dowell; and two infant sisters, Katherine Dowell and Sandra Dowell.
Mr. Dowell had been employed as a cook in a nursing home in Moberly until ill health forced him to retire.
Susie Lavenia Scott
June 17, 1902 - Jan. 14, 2001
PARIS Susie Lavenia Scott, 98, of Paris, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris. The Rev. Harold Long will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services today at the funeral home.
Miss Scott was born June 17, 1902, in Stoutsville to Oscar and Mary Green Scott.
Survivors include two two nephews, Oscar Scott of Davenport, Iowa and Robert (Bobby) Scott of Cedar Hill, Texas; and seven nieces, Mary Liza Carson of Cleveland, Ohio, Odessa Scott, Ruby Johnson, Florence Watkins and Ola Mae Johnson, all of Kansas City, Mo., Evelyn Williams of St. Charles and Mary Ann Robinson of Los Angeles, Calif.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters.
Miss Scott spent her entire life in Monroe County and attended Watson Chapel A.M.E. Church of Paris in her earlier years.
Frances Steward
HANNIBAL Frances Steward, 75, of Hannibal, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Levering Regional Healthcare in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Helping Hand Baptist Church in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Marie Theiss Mose
Sept. 12, 1911 - Jan. 16, 2001
HANNIBAL Marie Theiss Mose, 89, of Hannibal and formerly of Taylorville, Ill., died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. The Rev. Richard L. Ingmire will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Smith Funeral Home and Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mose was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Springfield, Ill., to Benjamin and Alice Gebig Theiss.
She was married to Myron H. Mose. He preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1981.
Survivors include five cousins, Dr. Thomas J. Fischer of Hannibal, Robert Fischer, William Fischer and Dale Vancil, all of Beardstown, Ill., and Dick Vancil of Northbrook, Ill.
Mrs. Mose retired in 1976 from Continental Grain Co. in Taylorville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville and attended the St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal. She had moved from Taylorville to Hannibal in 1994. She was a member of the Haslemere Chapter No. 221, Order of Eastern Star in Taylorville and the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a graduate of Springfield, Ill. High School and obtained her business administration degree through night courses and correspondence courses. Her hobbies included fishing and boating.
The family wishes to include: Mrs. Mose was like a grandmother to Dr. and Mrs. Fischer's children, Cindy Fischer Russell and Andrea Fischer Henderson, both of Columbia and Heidi Fischer Sheffer of Brookline, Mass. Her husband was a veteran of World War II.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Elevator Fund or Luther Manor Nursing Center, in care of the funeral home.
Verna E. Knight
March 9, 1912 - Jan. 16, 2001
BOWLING GREEN Verna E. Knight, 88, of Bowling Green, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green. The Rev. David Land will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Bowling Green.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight was born March 9, 1912, in Fredericktown to Edward and Minnie Snow Enloe.
She was married to Aubrey Knight. He survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jean Rice of Bowling Green; and one son, R.J. Knight of Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Knight; three sisters, Alta Farley, Ocie Stockcamp and Mary Enloe; and one brother, Jim Enloe.
Mrs. Knight was a homemaker.
