Kevin Lentz, 52, of Springfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at the Springfield Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at the Sturm Funeral Home Chapel in Springfield, with burial at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Clements. Chaplain Mary Pauluk will be officiating. Friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Leigh and Marion Lentz of Clements; son Chad Kevin Lentz of Eagan; one grandson; sister Maralee Drellack of Champlin; and brothers, Rick Lentz of Rochester, Gary Lentz of Rochester, and Alan Lentz of Redwood Falls.
Kevin Edward Lentz was born Nov. 11, 1950, in Gaylord, to Leigh and Marion (Walter) Lentz.
Arnold Narr, 93, of rural Henderson, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.
Funeral servic will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington, with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements are pending with the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington.
Arnold is survived by his sons, Kenneth Narr of Arlington, and Jerry Narr of Henderson; daughters, Darlene Noehne of Henderson, Gloria Hazelette of Bronte, Texas, and Wendy LeNoue of Wahpeton, N.D.; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Winifred Andresen, age 94, of Edina, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Mizpah United Church of Christ, 412 5th St., Hopkins, with burial at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are with Morris Nilsen Chapel, 612-869-3226.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred.
Ella Redmann, 86, of Hutchinson, formerly of Stewart, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton with interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Brownton.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at the Hantge Funeral Chapel in Brownton, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
She is survived by her children, Peter Redmann Jr., Darrel Redmann, Myron Redmann, Gary Redmann, Arvid Redmann, Luella Sondergaard, Leona Ahlbrecht, LaVonne Kuntz, Laverna (Lizbeth) Altman, and Linda Klitzke 24 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren.
Ella Jeanette Redmann was born on June 2, 1917, in Penn Township, McLeod County to Richard and Lena (Ruest) Gerdes.
Irene E. Wegner, 90, of Morgan, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, with burial at Crestlawn Gardens in rural Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Frieda Ostermann, 85, of Gaylord, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at Sibley Medical Center, Arlington.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by two sons, Everett of Faribault and Arlen of Good Thunder; two daughters, Karen Gehrke of Hutchinson and Diane Bauer of Gaylord; a brother, Leonard Hammel of Eyota and a sister, Rose Neuman of Eyota; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
She was born Jan. 3, 1918 in Eyota Township, Olmstead County to Louis and Minnie (Suter) Hammel.
Leonard 'Lenny' Schwartz, 77, of 516 South Front Street in New Ulm, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2003 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Pastor Wayne Laitinen will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and 7:30-11 a.m. on Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Monday.
Lenny is survived by his wife, Marlis Schwartz of New Ulm; sons, Thomas Schwartz and his wife, Nancy, of Westland, Michigan, Richard Schwartz and his wife, Brenda, of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Harry Schwartz and his wife, Brenda, of New Ulm; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Leonna Stadick and her husband, Joe, and Mildred Neuman all of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edmund and Emanuel "Monty" Schwartz; sisters, Agnes Bode and Vera Butler.
Leonard was born on October 24, 1925 in Courtland Township, Nicollet County to Carl and Elfrieda (Bartz) Schwartz. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School and then New Ulm Public High School. On June 12, 1949, he married Marlis Shellum at the Albion Lutheran Church in rural St. James. After marriage they moved to New Ulm where Lenny worked various jobs. For the last 20 years, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in New Ulm, retiring in 1987. He was a charter member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, a 20 year veteran of the New Ulm Fire Department retiring in 1982, the Albert Nagel Post 1648 VFW for over 50 years, the Seifert Bianchi American Legion Post #132 in New Ulm for over 50 years, and the New Ulm Battery.
Eulalia "Ukee" Stueber-Krenz, 68, of 1804 North Payne Street in New Ulm, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Father John Richter will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mother's Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cathedral. The St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. and there will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. both Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

Ukee was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter "Wally" Stueber on July 22, 1987; sisters; Angela Hillesheim, Loretta Grosam; brothers, Melvin Huiras, Victor Huiras, Joseph Huiras, Herbert Huiras, and Robert Huiras.
Eulalia was born on January 15, 1935 in Sleepy Eye to Joseph and Leona (Ludewig) Huiras.
She attended school in District #32 and then St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. She married Walter Stueber on August 31, 1954 at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth. After marriage they farmed in Milford Township, Brown County. Ukee was a homemaker and worked at 3M in New Ulm for 25 years before retiring. Ukee completed her GED in 1994. She moved to New Ulm in 1989. Ukee married Elmer Krenz on November 17, 1989 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. After her retirement in 1996 she operated an antique business called Ukee's Unique Antiques in New Ulm. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, Christian Mother's Society and the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to New Ulm area Catholic Schools or the American Cancer Society.
Curtis C. Eckberg, 89 of Winthrop, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop, Minn.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m., at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Private family interment will precede services at the Bernadotte Lutheran Cemetery in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minn.
Gathering of family and friends is one hour prior to services at the church.
Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel handled arrangements.
Curtis was born in 1913 in Bernadotte Township to Emma and Charles Eckberg. He was baptized and confirmed at Bernadotte Lutheran Church. He attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1932.
After working at the Lafayette Creamery and as a hired man for local farmers for a few years, he studied bookkeeping at Mankato Business College and took a bookkeeping position with a car dealership in Fairfax. From there, he went to work for Standard Oil in Fairfax and later Co-op Oil in Winthrop delivering bulk fuel and petroleum products. He opened Curt's Café (which later became "Lyle's Café) in 1943.
In 1945, he married Pearl Bornhoft, who had come to Winthrop a year earlier to be the high school choir and band director. Curt and Pearl started a family and moved to Gibbon where he opened another restaurant, Curt's Kitchen. In 1964, he sold the restaurant and became head custodian at Gibbon High School. In 1974, he returned to bookkeeping and worked for Isakson Plumbing and Heating in Gibbon until retiring. In 1980, Curt and Pearl moved to Winthrop and built a home on the north side of town.
Those who knew Curt will remember him for his kindness and generosity, his eagerness to help others, his devotion to family and church, his uncanny ability to fix most anything, and his love of hard work. In fact, it wasn't many years ago that he could be found up on the scaffolding helping paint someone's house, mowing his half-acre of grass or helping his kids with house projects.
Most of all, his ready smile and friendly "hello" will be missed by everyone.
Curtis is survived by his sons, John Eckberg and wife Mary of Minneapolis, Peter Eckberg and wife Kirsten of Falcon Heights, Paul Eckberg and wife Renae of Coon Rapids; and daughter Pastor Marie Eckberg of Minneapolis. He'll also be missed by grandchildren, Joe, Jim, Mike, Katrina, Susannah, Chelsea, Leslie, Heidi and Jamie; brother Kenneth of Winthrop; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, on Aug. 1, 2003; and his sister Florence.

Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 a.m., at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Frieda M. Fennern was born Oct. 28, 1914, to Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, to daughter of William and Sophie (Foelster) Fennern.
Doris Telthoester, 62, of Arlington, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Waconia Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Kolden Funeral Chapel, Arlington with burial in Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her children, Audrey of Mankato; Tiffany Holzem of Mosinee, Wis. and Lonny of Arlington; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger of Norwood, Stanley of Glencoe, Larry of Shakopee and Bob Braun of Rochester; a sister, Diane Trimbo of Henderson.
She was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Henderson to Ray and Miranda (Hoffmeister) Braun.
La Donna Hacker, age 68, of Bloomington, formerly of Lafayette, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at the Church of the Nativity of Mary, 9900 Lyndale Ave. S., Bloomington.
Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass on Wednesday. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette. Arrangements are with the Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 952-888-7771.
La Donna is a graduate of Holy Trinity High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Annie Hacker; and sisters, Audrey Mariska and Jeanne Hacker.
She is survived by her sisters, Grace Erickson, Justine (Robert) Eaton, and Sharon Hacker; brother Linus Hacker; and many nieces and nephews.
Doris Kollmann, 85, of rural Nicollet, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003 at the St. Peter Community Health Care Center in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Ron Siemers officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, rural Nicollet.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and then on Wednesday for one hour prior to time of service at the church.
Doris is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Willard Pehling of Walker, Vicky and Robert Hudson of Mankato; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Donna Kollmann of Courtland, Gary Kollmann of Nicollet, Jim and Sue Kollmann of rural St. Peter; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; sisters Orma Greenwald of Mankato and Ruth Mesker of Henderson; sisters-in-law, Mary Kollmann of Grass Valley, California, Jan Kollmann of Lake Crystal, Edna Schulte of St. Paul; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar, on March 10, 1986; sisters, Gertrude and May; two other sisters, Louise and Marlene, both in infancy; and a granddaughter, Miranda Kollmann.
Doris Clara Kollmann, the daughter of Herman and Ella (Young) Stiehm was born on March 17, 1918, in Henderson. She graduated from the Henderson High School. On Nov. 14, 1936, she was united in marriage to Oscar Kollmann. Since 1951 they farmed in Granby Township, Nicollet County for many years where she was a homemaker. After retirement they continued to live on the farm. Doris enjoyed sewing, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. On Aug. 14, 2003 she became a resident of the St. Peter Community Health Care Center.

Services are 10:30 a.m. today at the Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Gaylord, with interment in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Gaylord.
Visitation will be 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. today at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and one hour prior to services at the church today. Clergy officiating Reverend Richard Kramer.
She is survived by her children, Karen Gehrke of Hutchinson, Diane (Leo) Bauer of Gaylord, Arlen (Karen) Ostermann of Good Thunder and Everett (Myrna) Ostermann of Faribault; sister, Rose Neuman of Eyota; brother, Leonard (Inez) Hammel of rural Eyota; sisters-in-law, Myrtle (Elmer) Franke of Gaylord, and Ruby (Ernie) Hardel of Gaylord. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her spouse in 1984; parents; brothers, Carl Hammel, Paul Hammel, Herman Hammel; and sister Lena Bierbaum.
Frieda Marie Ostermann was born Jan. 3, 1918, in Eyota Township, Olmsted County, to Louis and Minnie (Suter) Hammel.
She attended District School near Eyota.
She married Stanley H. Ostermann June 14, 1939, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Eyota. After their marriage they lived and farmed in Sibley Township, Sibley County, rural Gaylord. They retired in 1968 and continued to live in Sibley Township in 1994, she moved to Gaylord.
She was employed by the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington, for six years. She baked at the Gaylord Prairie House for 15 years.
Frieda was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Gaylord and was active as a Sunday School teacher and the ELCA Women's Group. She was a member of the Sibley Happy Homemaker Extension Club, the Gaylord Golden Age Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She was an active member of the church and community and enjoyed being with her family.
She loved baking, cooking, playing cards, gardening and raising flowers.
Casket bearers are: grandsons, Brian Ostermann, Scott Ostermann, Kevin Ostermann, Chad Ostermann, Lucas Ostermann and Kenton Gehrke.
Honorary casket bearers are: granddaughters, Kim Streich, Karla Johnson, Cindy Angsteman, Cathy Grack, Carrie Tornio, Carol Langager, Melissa Donkers, and Megan Grimsrud.
