Remund Sandmann, 85, of West Chester, Penn., died Sunday, April 30, 2000 at Barclay Friends, West Chester.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at First Unitarian Church, Wilmington, Del., with burial at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are handled by A.B.C. Cremations, West Chester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA of Central Chester County, 1 E. Chestnut St., W. Chester, PA 19380, or the Rotary Club of West Chester, P.O. Box 743, W. Chester, PA 19381.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna; sons, Peter of Stinson Beach, Calif., David of Lunenburg, Mass., and Jeffrey of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Rebecca of North Haven, Conn.; stepsons, Nicholas and Steven Norris of West Chester, and Peter Norris of Long Beach, Calif.; sisters, Marjorie Stimpert of Sleepy Eye, and Carol Taylor of Newago, Mich.; brother, Lowell of Burley, Idaho; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was born in New Ulm, to Adolph and Mabel Remund Sandmann. He graduated from New Ulm High School, Hamline University, St. Paul, and Boston University of Theology. He worked for the YMCA in Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, Providence, Wilmington, and West Chester, where he was executive director from 1968-1979. He served as secretary and president of the Rotary Club of West Chester. He was active in the Rotary Club in West Chester, and was very active in community affairs. He was West Chester Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1986. He received the Four Chaplains Legion of Honor in 1981, and the Award of Harmony from the SPEBSQA. He was a member of the First Unitarian Church, Wilmington.

Bernice Freyholtz, 70, of Fairfax, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Hauser-Hantge Chapel in Fairfax, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Freyholtz of Fairfax; a daughter, Brenda and husband Floyd Marti of Sleepy Eye; granddaughters Denise and her husband Greg Johanson, and Rashelle Marti; a great-granddaughter Nicole Johanson; sisters, Evelyn Stoll and Adeline and husband Ray Wellner; sister-in-law Lonny Schroeder and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Phyllis and Norman Schulte; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Raymond, Roman, and Norman Schroeder.
She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Bandon Township, Renville County. She married Howard Freyholtz at St. John Lutheran Church Parsonage on April 14, 1948. They farmed in Wellington Township until 1967, when they moved into Fairfax.
She helped on the farm and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township and was active with the Ladies Aid.

Annamaria 'Mary' (Mrs. George) Lorincz, 58, of rural Nicollet died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at the St. Peter Community Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet with burial in the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Nicollet.
Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, George Lorincz of rural Nicollet; daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Mark Trebisovsky of Hilltop, Minn.; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Maggie Degi of Hungary, Budapest.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was born April 4, 1942, in Cluj, Romania to Andrew and Anna (Balazs) Degi. She married George Lorincz on Aug. 18, 1970, in Rome, Italy. After their marriage they lived in St. Paul and Hugo. They moved to rural Nicollet in 1989, where she worked with her husband in Lorincz Electric.

Walter C. Hillesheim, 83, of Wabasso, died Saturdy, May 6, 2000, at his home.
Mass of Christian of burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in the church cemetery.
A parish prayer service followed by a rosary service is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Arrangements were made with Sunset Funeral Home of Wabasso.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; children and their spouses, Arlene and Lynn Bushard of Garfield, Theresa and Darwin Hohenstein of New Ulm, Gerald Hillesheim of Hutchinson, Eugene and Jean Hillesheim of Morton, LaVonne and LeRoy Mathiowetz of Wabasso, David and Lauri Hillesheim of Wabasso, Janet and Gary Jacobs of New Ulm; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roman and Marlee Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye, Linus and Alice Hillesheim of New Ulm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and Ray Roiger of St. Michael, Bernice and Leo Ludwig of Comfrey, and Bernette and Clifford Schumacher of Sleepy Eye.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
He was born Nov. 23, 1916, near Sleepy Eye to Catherine (Goblirsch) and Frank Hillesheim. He attended rural schools. On April 24, 1940, he married Florence Groebner. They lived and farmed in the Wabasso area, retiring in 1980 and moving to Wabasso. He was a member of the St. George Society and Catholic Aid Association. He belonged to the Farm Bureau for 53 years.

Louise Hamilton, 99, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. St. Anne's C.C.W. rosary is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her step-daughter, June and husband Anthony Nesser of Columbia Heights, son-in-law, Walter Tellegen of Sterling, Va., eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guyen Hamilton; daughter, Mary Lou Tellegen; son G. Eugene Hamilton; stepdaughter, Muriel Sperling; grandson Christopher Tellegen; brothers, Sylvester, John, Joseph Augustin; sisters, Sr. Mildred (Rose) Augustin, Catherine Augustin, Sophia Lang and Dorothy Westrup.
She was born Feb. 15, 1901, in Burnstown Township to Joseph B. and Ida (Huiras) Augustin. She attended St. Raphael's Catholic School, and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1917. She graduated from Mankato Teacher College in 1923. She taught school for 40 years in rural schools in Leavenworth, Arco, Maple Lake, Morgan and at St. Raphael's Catholic School in Springfield. On Jan. 25, 1926, she married Guyen F. Hamilton at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Maple Lake. She was a long-time member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Monica's Court C.O.F. where she served as chief ranger for 25 years and St. Anne's C.C.W. She belonged to Springfield Senior Citizens. She was a Girl Scout leader. She belonged to the Minnesota Education Association and Brown County Retired Teachers Association. She tutored children at the library at St. Raphael's School.

Anton 'Tony' Herlick, 84, of San Jose, Calif., died April 19, 2000, at his home.
Services were held April 25 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in San Jose, with burial in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and William Radzinski; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sara Herlick, son-in-law, David Turner, all of San Jose; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Alex Herlick of New Ulm; and sisters Marie Welch of Minneapolis, Collette Groebner of New Ulm and Carol McGrath of St. Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Josephine Herlick of New Ulm; daughter Joanne L. Turner; brothers, Arthur and Randolph; and sister, Veronica.
He was born Sept. 11, 1915, in New Ulm. He married Myrtle Joel of New Ulm on May 20, 1941, in New Ulm. He worked as a baker at W. F. Eibner and Son until 1943 when the family moved to California where he did defense work. He was a retired supervisor for Westinghouse Marine Division, Sunnyvale, Calif.. He was a member of the Catholic Aid Association, a 66-year member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Sirs No. 95 of Cameron Park, Calif.

Robert E. Buechner, 66, of Jonestown, Pa., formerly of New Ulm, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lebanon, Pa.
Services were held May 4, in Jonestown.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Paul and wife Sylvia of North Carolina, Mark and wife Stacie of New Hampshire, Robert and special friend Jennifer of North Carolina, and Richard and wife Crystal of Lebanon; stepson Frank and wife Lisa Gingrich of California; brother James and wife Theresa Buechner of New Ulm; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Anna (Jutz) Buechner; wife, Marg Tachery; and stepson John Gingrich.

Magdaline L. Sondag, 80, of 910 4th North S., New Ulm died Sunday, May 7, 2000 at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. St. Elizabeth's Society will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There will also be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Sondag of New Ulm; daughters, Norma Jean Sondag of Bloomington, and Mary Sondag of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Rita Sondag of Rosemont, Douglas and Lucille Sondag of Springfield, and David and Bonnie Sondag of New Ulm; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and four brothers.
She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Granby Township, Nicollet County, to Henry and Phillamine (nee Weiller) Zins. She attended District 20 school in Granby Township. On Feb. 12, 1945, she married Charles Sondag at the Swan Lake Catholic Church in Brighton Township, Nicollet County. They farmed in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County. She was a homemaker. They moved into New Ulm in 1968. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Christian Mothers Society, and St. Elizabeth's Society.

Louise Hamilton, 99, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield.

Ronald 'Butch' Trebesch, 67, of Welcome, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at Fairmont Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Welcome, with burial in the city cemetery. There will be military honors by Welcome American Legion Post 553.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, in Welcome.

Donald Hartke, 71, of Ormsby, died Monday, May 8, 2000 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sherburn Assembly of God Worship Center, with burial in Elm Creek Cemetery, rural Trimont. Full military honors will be conducted by Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post 373 of Trimont.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Trimont, and will continue Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette; sons, Steven and wife Tracy of Northfield, Ricky of Northfield, and Glen of Shakopee; daughter, Jerilyn Sue Nelson and husband Scott of Woodbury; five grandchildren; brother, Lloyd and wife Lois of Trimont; sisters-in-law, Joan of Sherburne, Jeanne Kienow and husband Erich of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Dorothy Noon of San Clemente, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas; brother, Robert; mother and father-in-law, Harold and Myrtle Ludvigson; and brother-in-law Harold Ludvigson.
He was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Sherburn, to Martin and Mabel (Bettin) Hartke. He attended Trimont Public Schools. When he was 15, he operated the Skelly Station in Triumph. He married Jeannette Ludvigson on July 27, 1949, in St. James. They lived in Trimont. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954. He worked as a truck driver for the family business, Martin Hartke and Sons Trucking Company, Trimont, from 1946-1964; and for D & J Transfer, Sherburn. As owner and operator, he hauled grain with his brother Lloyd. He was a member of Sherburn Assembly of God Worship Center, the Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post and the Ormsby Community Builders.

Ronald Trebesch, 67, of Welcome, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at Fairmont Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Welcome, with burial in the Welcome City Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by Welcome American Legion Post 553.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Welcome, and will continue one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; daughters, Elisa Kotewa and husband Darold of rural Fairmont, Brenda Becker and husband Troy of Savage, and Jennifer Klingbeil and husband John of rural Estherville, Iowa; five grandchildren; brothers, Milton of Clements, and Emil and wife Judy of Sanborn; sister-in-law, Karen Wagner of Apple Valley; brother-in-law, Jerald Newton and wife Mary Jo of Reno, Nev.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin; sister-in-law, Cynthia Trebesch; father and mother-in-law, Boyd and Esther Newton; and sister-in-law, Lois Krueger.
He was born May 10, 1932, in North Star Township, Brown County, to Emil and Rhoda (Albertson) Trebesch. He attended rural school in North Star Township. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Beverly Newton on Feb. 7, 1957, in Springfield. They lived in Jackson, where he worked as a lineman for REA. They later lived in Welcome, where he worked for REA until his retirement. After retiring he worked at the Welcome landfill. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Welcome and Welcome American Legion Post 553, where he served on the color guard and the honor guard. He served on the Welcome City Council for 24 years and the Welcome Fire Department for 28 years.
