Malinda Glander, 91, of Gaylord, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at American Lutheran Church, Gaylord, with burial in the New Auburn Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Audrey Boerner of Litchfield, and Mary and husband Walt Kallestad of Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Arlene and husband Peter Pinske of Gaylord; brother Elsworth and wife Doloris Bartels of Glencoe; sisters-in-law, Carol Bartels of Ironton, Ann Bartels of St. Peter, and Luella and husband William Glander of Gaylord; son-in-law, Karl Deis of Mora; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; daughter, Gloria Deis; and brothers, Elmer, Edwin, and Wilmar.
She was born Feb. 27, 1909 in rural Glencoe. She grew up in Penn Township. She married Fred Glander in 1929. They lived in New Auburn, Brownton, and Gaylord. She was a member of American Lutheran Church, Gaylord.
Florian Sprenger, 79, of Sauk Centre, formerly of Grey Eagle, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at St. Michael's Hospital, Sauk Centre.
Services are 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grey Eagle, with burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Ward Springs.
Visitation is 8-10 a.m. today at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Sauk Centre.
He is survived by his wife Alyce; children, Pat and wife Dee of Brainerd, Ron and wife Eileen of Arvada, Colo., Dennis and wife Lavonne of Alexandria, Florian and wife Connie of St. Rosa, Lavern and wife Danni of Anchorage, Alaska, Bernard and wife Rosie of Sleepy Eye, Dorthy Boeckermann and husband Marv of Roseville, Judy Meyer and husband Marty of St. Cloud, Leon of Eden Prairie, Jeanie Allen and Mary Webb and husband Brett of Anchorage, Alaska, Chuck and wife Brenda of Grey Eagle, Mike and wife Toni of Federal Heights, Colo., and Tim and wife Lori of Melrose; siblings, Eleanora Reinhart and Henrietta Boesch and husband Reubin of New Ulm, Eldor and wife Juliette of Winthrop, Emral Haala and husband Jerry of Gibbon, and Patsy Grall and husband Chuck of Madisonville, Texas; 34 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Orville.
He was born. May 28, 1920, in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Hugo and Emilia (Grossmann) Sprenger. He married Alyce Riederer on April 28, 1943, in Leavenworth. They farmed at Garvin, Leavenworth, and Grey Eagle. After retirement, they moved to Little Birch Lake near Ward Springs, until moving to Sauk Centre in June 1996. He was a supervisor of Birchdale Township and served as a trustee of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Ward Springs. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grey Eagle, and Catholic Aid Association.
Elenore Korsmo, 94, of Fairfax, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at the Camilia Rose Convalescent Center in Coon Rapids.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Fairfax with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County.
Visitation is today 4-8 p.m. and Friday 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by her daughters, Diann Pierce of Coon Rapids; Gloria and Joel Kugler of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sylvia Korsmo of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Karrol and Robert Barbieri of San Rafael, Calif., son Charles Korsmo of Fairfax; grandchildren, Brenda Thacker of Granite Bay, Calif. and Bryan Pierce of Vail, Colo.; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Norell of Finlayson and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nieces.
She was born Sept. 26, 1905 to Adam and Laura (Sander) Rieke in Cairo Township. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1925 and continued her education with two years of schooling in Mankato, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught at area country schools for several years.
On Oct. 16, 1936, she married Anton Korsmo at Bethel Church in Cairo Township, Renville County. They farmed in Bandon Township in Renville County. Anton died on Jan. 29, 1953. She continued living on the farm site until October 1995 when she entered an assisted living care center.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairfax where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She also taught Sunday School for many years. She belonged to the Kitchen Klatter Band of Fairfax.
Ursula Bliss, 70, of rural Belview, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at the Redwood Falls Hospital.
Mass of Christian is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Seaforth with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 7 p.m.; and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Gene Hoecke, 40, of Hector, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at First Lutheran Church in Hector and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Arrangements have been made with Hughes Funeral Home of Hector.
He is survived by sons Bradley Hoecke of Redwood Falls and Brandon Hoecke of Morgan; parents, Reuben and Phyllis Hoecke of Hector; sister, Paula Prill of Melrose; and two nephews Jordan and Skylar Prill.
He was born July 16, 1959, to Reuben and Phyllis (Klucas) Hoecke in Moorhead. He graduated from Hector High School in 1977. He continued his education at the Willmar Technical College.
He married Kelly Crooks. He worked as a truck driver throughout the United States and Canada. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Hector.
Dean Haycraft, 74, of Lewisville, died Monday, April 10, 2000 at the Madelia Community Hospital.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Truman.
Visitation is at Olson Funeral Home in Truman 5-8 p.m. today and 8-9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Haycraft of Lewisville; daughter, Gloria and Charles Wels of Marysville, Montana; granddaughter, April of Marysville, Mont.; grandson, Aaron of Helena, Montana; many nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Keith in 1972, one daughter Corrine in infancy; four brothers, Bradley, John, Wayne and Gordon.
He was born June 9, 1925, to Harry and Anna "Nellie" (Dunden) Haycraft in Madelia. He was drafted into the United States Army. On Dec. 6, 1943. He served with the 339th Infantry Division in Italy, Africa, Brazil and Austria for 13 months and was later a member of the Polar Bear Association. He received battle stars for three campaigns and also the Medal of Honor. He was discharged on Jan. 2, 1946.
On Jan. 20, 1953, he married Bernice Engelbrecht in Sibley, Iowa. He attended Mankato Commercial College in Mankato. He operated his father's grocery store for 16 years until its closing in 1964. He was then employed as a meat cutter for Tony Downs in Madelia. In April of 1966, he became postmaster in Lewisville. He retired on Oct. 3, 1986.
He was a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Truman. He served in various positions in the Lewisville Commercial Club. He was a charter member of the Lewisville American Legion Post 561 and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of New Ulm.
He was among the first organized Emergency Medical Technicians of the Lewisville Ambulance Squad with which he served for 10 years.
He helped organize the nation-wide Haycraft Family Association and served as its treasurer. He and his wife published the Haycraft Heritage News for members from all areas of the United States since 1987.
Myron H. Dibbert, 71, died Friday evening, April 14, at the Arlington Municipal Hospital in Arlington.
Services will be held Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 11 a.m. in Henderson with burial in the Brown Cemetery, Henderson. Military honors will be given by the Henderson American Legion Post No. 74.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Henderson and one hour prior to the services at the church.
He is survived by one sister-in-law Lu (Dibbert) Grack of Winthrop; four nieces Laura and Rex Maki of Arlington, Jean and Keith Muller of Potosi, Wis., Lisa and Charles Templin of Gaylord, and Carol Dibbert of St. Paul; eight grand-nephews and four grand-nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray Dibbert and Grand-nephew.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1928 to Charles and Alma (Loewe) Dibbert in Henderson Township, Sibley County. He farmed with his father for several years before entering the U.S. Army in 1952 through 1954. When he returned home he continued to farm with his father his entire life.
He was a member of the Henderson Band, Hilltopers Band and he was active in St. Paul's United Church of Christ and choir. Many years ago he had a private pilots license and he enjoyed flying.
Elmer Carlson, 90, formerly of Hector, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at his home in Olivia.
Services are 2 p.m. today at e Palmyra Covenant Church in rural Hector with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. today at the church. Raymond D. Hughes Funeral Home of Hector is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his son, Wally and wife Sandy Carlson of Olivia; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul and wife Vivian Carlson of Staples, William and wife Linnea Carlson of Hector; sister-in-laws, Tillie Carlson of Hector and Vivian Carlson of Buffalo Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Neva Carlson; sons, Larry Carlson and Jon Carlson; brothers, David Carlson Edward Carlson; and sister, Florence Gustafson of Buffalo Lake.
He was born Aug. 17, 1909, to Emil and Esther (Ryberg) Carlson, in Litchfield, N.D. In 1913 his family moved to Palmyra Township, Renville County. He married Neva Mae Wilkinson, May 1, 1937, at Palmyra Covenant Church. They farmed south of Hector until retirement when they moved to Hector. He was a member of Palmyra Covenant Church.
Audrey Petersen, 65, formerly of Spring Valley, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at her home from complications of ALS.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Laure and husband David O'Connell of North Hudson, Wis., Sherry and David Gottsleben of Bloomington, Cindy Jungmann of Woodbury; six grandchildren; parents, John and Clara Singer of Sleepy Eye; and brother Jerome Singer of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
She was born Aug. 31, 1934, in New Ulm, to John and Clara (Fink) Singer. She married Kenneth Petersen on June 20, 1956, at the Holy Cathedral Catholic Church in New Ulm. She was employed at Tupperware Corporation as a district manager. She also worked with House of Lloyds and Christmas Around the World catalog sales.
Wilbert Johnson, 83, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Sleepy Eye Hospital.
Services are at 1:30 p.m Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and at the church one hour prior to services.
He is survived by brothers, Lestor and Marian Johnson of Sleepy Eye and Christ and Violet Johnson of Glencoe, sister, Eleanor Buche of Sleepy Eye; 16 nieces and nephews and 46 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vern Groff, Mary Johnson, Verdina Johnson, Mathilda Johnson and Hazel Johnson; and three brothers in infancy.
He was born on April 16, 1916, to Rudolph and Sarah Marie (Hanson) Johnson in Prairieville Township. He attended rural school. He farmed and raised livestock. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Sleepy Eye.
Jacqueline Cattron Ellis, 39, died March 31, 2000, at Box Elder, S.D.
Services were held in Rapid City on Thursday, April 13. Burial was in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D. with military honors.
Rooks and Kirk Funeral Home handled arrangements.
She is survived by her husband and children.
