Bregel, Frederick Louis
August 22, 1956 - January 4, 2016
Age 59 of Edina. Visitation and funeral at Church of St. Patrick of Edina, 6820 St. Patricks Ln, Edina, MN 55439. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral at 11:00 am on the 23rd of January. On January 4, 2016 at 12:45 pm our brother, Fred shuffled off this mortal coil. Fred is survived by his parents, Virginia and Charles Bregel and his brothers: John, Paul and David. Fred has always been the "Rock of Gibraltar" of the Bregel family. Fred served as a care giver, an arbitrator and a strong shoulder to lean on. He was always available to lend a helping hand and took very good care of his family. On countless occasions Fred was the compassionate sounding board and always had good advice born out of love and understanding. Fred's compassion was only outdone by his joy for life. Fred enjoyed good food and could always list off the best places in town to get a meal. He cherished the Sundays at our folks on the deck grilling steaks and shooting the breeze. He also cherished the Christmas eves spent at the Monte Carlo and celebrating mom's birthday at the Lake Elmo Inn. We will remember the John Lennon Tributes with Fred at First Avenue and Robin Trower at the Cabooze along with the other fun concerts we shared. We also remember the State Fair with the family, motorcycling, snowmobiling, Gopher Football and road trips. In Fred's final moments we are reminded of the bible passage 1 Corinthians 13:13: "Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." This bible passage exemplifies Fred's philosophy about life. Fred's faith in Christianity is grounded and strong. We won't to talk about his faith in the past tense because Fred's faith is still very much alive in all who knew and loved him. His faith has prepared him for the next journey, which he has begun. Fred's faith reminds us that anything is possible. Fred is always full of hope. Hope for a better future. Hope that his friends and family will lead prosperous lives. Fred never gave up on his brother Paul who battles daily to hold on to his own life. Many times when Paul was near death, Fred's hope played an integral part in Paul's revival. Fred has taught us that you can accomplish anything as long as you don't give up hope. Most of all Fred is love. Fred was so full of love and devotion to all the people in his life. I don't believe I will ever meet someone with a bigger heart. Fred's love for his family and friends is timeless. Fred helped everybody that he encountered. His passing leaves a big hole in the lives of his friends, family and ATT co-workers. William Shakespeare wrote "The good that men do in this world is often interred with their bones." Let this not be the case with Fred. Fred's love for us will live on and enrich our lives as long as he remains in our hearts. Keep the love Fred has provided ingrained in your heart. Love is all you need! Donations can be made on Fred's behalf to: Millennium Center for Performing Arts (MCPA), 1708 Meadowview Rd, Eagan, MN 55121, (651) 452-0811. God Bless You Fred.

West, Richard Adam
January 27, 1988 - February 10, 2016
Age 28 of Fridley. Adam came into the world on January 27, 1988 to Tammi Kousoulos and RT West. Jaundiced, his mother would spend his first weeks holding him in the bright sun of Tucson, Arizona. He and his family traded the warmth of Arizona for the cold winters of Minnesota in 1988 where he lived with his mother until his passing. He stayed connected with his father visiting him in Wisconsin most summers where they shared a love of boating and hunting together. In his youth, Adam often displayed fits of humor and goofiness. He loved making others laugh and wasn’t afraid of looking foolish in order to put a smile on someone’s face. These wonderful traits would carry into his adult life, and expanded to include wooing cute women. Ask any friend what he was like and they will say, he always took time to make me feel good. As an adult, he remained thoughtful of others, offering help whenever he could and become particularly gifted at Googling just about anything (of which his mother took advantage of often). Given the choice, he would always choose to spend time with family, sometimes cooking for a hungry younger brother, sometimes rescuing a sister from cars that didn’t work, sometimes laughing with his mom about almost anything sitting on their overstuffed couch. But anyone who knew him, knew he loved his Harley Davidson. He was happiest riding his bike with the wind on his hair, a streak of shiny green and chrome coming down the road. He would spend whole afternoons polishing that bike. He never saw it as a chore but rather a labor of love and an accomplishment to be proud of. His bike and his biking community gave him great joy. Adam left the world on February 10th 2016, and it will never be the same. He is survived by his loving family. His mom, Tammi Kousoulos, his father RT West, his big sister Cortne Dahms, his little brother Joshua West, his nephew Ashton Dahms, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Adam is preceded in death by his Grandmother Dianne Kousoulos, Grandparents Dick & Betty West.
