Age 85 of St. Paul. passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2013. Survived by his children, Irmbert, Ronald, Rita (Paul) Frenz, Arnold (Cheryl), Edna (David) Ulrich, and David; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Erna, Hilda, Joe (Edith), Inge, and Bernie (Don); and many loving relatives and friends. Preceded by his wife, Selma. Arnold was the ultimate handyman and owned and operated a construction company known as Home Remodeling. His love of soccer, chocolate, and cigars was overshadowed only by his love of God and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). Interment Acacia Park cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Mar. 7, 10 AM, at The Church of St. Mark, 2001 Dayton Avenue St. Paul, MN. Visitation on Wednesday, Mar. 6, 5-8 PM, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 5425 11th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN.

Age 51, of Corcoran, MN. passed away peacefully on February 26, 2013 after a 14-month battle with ovarian cancer. preceded in death by sister- in-law, Tracy Stenson. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Troy Hansen; stepchildren, Bryce Hansen and Breahna Downer; mother, Judy Patterson (Stenson); father, Richard Stenson; in-laws, Darwyn & Patricia Hansen; siblings, Kitty Onan and Rick Stenson; nephews, David and Charlie Onan; nieces, Rachel, Skylar and Ryleigh Stenson. Swanson, Donel Gustavus

Age 81, of Minneapolis, MN. Also known as Don Swani, age 81, died on February 25th, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Home in St. Paul. Mr. Swanson is survived by eight of his children, Kathryn, Virginia, James, Elizabeth, Barbara, Amy, Robert and Angela. He also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Sadly, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah and his sons, Gregory and Thomas. Don served in the Army and received the Purple Heart, as well as a battlefield promotion to Second Lieutenant. Don's multiple careers in music, the Post Office and his Christian ministry were all characterized by his single- minded focus and constant pursuit and delight of excellence. Services will be held this Saturday, 3/02/2013 at 11:30 am at the Fort Snelling Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Mr. Swanson will be interred at the Lakewood cemetery.

Age 79, of Maplewood, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. Avid outdoorsman, Twins fan, and most importantly family man. Will be greatly missed by loving wife of 57 years, Audrey; children, David (Bonnie), Michael (Shelley), Laura (Timothy) Schultz; grandchildren, Marie (Tim) Henrichs, David, Jr., Ryan and Ashley Brantner; and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Marie), sister, Betty Swenson; brother-in-law, Tony (Geri) Kowski; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lodge; and many relatives and friends. Age 83, of Alexandria, passed away from a stroke February 20, 2013. Arne was raised on a farm in Cokato. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mining Engineering and worked for 3M in St. Paul and Fairmont. In 1974, he bought Fran & Arne's Bar in Garfield which he successfully operated for 25 years. preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and his sons, Rick and Randy. Survived by his loving companion, Jan Floding; his children, Carla (Michael) Christensen, Robert (Denise) Saari , Cheri (Rod Otten) Saari, and Christi (Gary Roach) Saari; six grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. Age 89, of Minneapolis, was born at the Soo Line Depot in Hamel, MN on March 16, 1923; and died peacefully with family by her side on February 16, 2013. She was known to be joyous, generous, grateful, strong and a lovely independent lady by all that knew her. She has always been a faithful Christian. She also enjoyed her Booth Manor neighbors friendship for over 20 years. Marjorie was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during WWII. She will be greatly missed by her surviving children, Robert "Skip" (Linda), Vicki, and Janet; brother, Vernon (Naomi); grandchildren, Robin (Dan), Robert (Katie), Buffy (Don), and William; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Nick, Grace, Jack, and Jenner. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the full and vibrant life of Marjorie at Historic Fort Snelling Chapel at 11 a.m. on March 15, 2013. Memorials preferred to the family.

Age 54, died at home in Brooklyn Park due to complications from MS. Born in Scranton, PA, son of the late Emil N. & Susan (Toplansky) Vallario, he attended grade school and high school in Dunmore, PA, and completed three years at the University of Pittsburg before being diagnosed with MS in 1983. He moved to Minneapolis in 1995 to be closer to his sister. He enjoyed reading emails, being with friends, and going out to the movies. He had a very positive attitude on life even as the MS took away his ability to talk and write emails. A special thank you to Dr. Rosenberg and the nurses and staff at Fairview Riverside Hospital, Caring Nurses Home Care, and Fairview Hospice for their special care for Mike. He is survived by his sister, Lori, and brother-in-law, Jeff Ballantyne; his aunt, Florence Toplansky and cousins, Janet and Michael Toplansky, and Karen Ormiston of CT; cousin, Madeline (John) McMillan, VA, and several other cousins. Bill was a 35 year employee of 3M, a member of the US Marine Corp., an avid golfer and a friend of Bill W. A celebration of Bill's life will be held following the service at 4:30pm with fellowship and a meal at the church.
