Barbara Ann Markeson
7/25/1934 — 10/15/2013
Barbara Ann Markeson, age 79, of Anoka/Ramsey, died on October 15, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Anoka, Minnesota.
Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on July 25, 1934, the daughter of Carl and Grace (Benedict) Siebenaler. She married Curtis Markeson on November 23, 1951, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Preceded by son, David; parents, Carl and Grace Siebenaler. Survived by loving husband, Curtis; sons, Mark and Steve; grandchildren, Rachel, Jamie, Ashley, Brittany; sisters, Joann (Jim Luckcart), Rita (John Schneider), Grace Franklin; great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends; and her dear cat, Gracie.
Barb spent many extremely happy years as the wife of a career USAF military N.C.O. She lived and traveled in many parts of the United States and Europe. Barb was also employed by Honeywell, working in the New Brighton plant.
'There went my everything'.

Cindy Garbe

Cindy L. Garbe, age 60, of Shakopee. Entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born on December 3, 1952, in Arlington, Minnesota, the daughter of Leroy 'Tony' and Mary (Schoenke) Krekelberg. Cindy married Phillip Garbe on October 30, 1981, in Bloomington, Minnesota. Something very important to Cindy was the daycare she ran out of her home until her children went to school; later she started a career as a Senior Customer Service Specialist with ADC Telecommunications, and most recently worked for Checkview. She was a member of the Dan Patch American Legion Post 643 Ladies Auxiliary in Savage; and she was proud to be the wife of a Shriner.
Cindy enjoyed baking (especially Christmas candy), traveling, and entertaining with formal dinners. But, she mostly enjoyed her time at the cabin, her friends and family, and especially her grandchildren.
Survived by husband, Phillip; children, Elaine, Theresa, Adam (Dawn), Rachel (Chris) Hennen, Eric; grandchildren, Lucas, Evan, Sloane, Gabriel, Micah; mother, Mary Krekelberg; siblings, Dale (Lori) Krekelberg, Donna (Curt) Lambrecht; many special friends. Preceded by father, Tony Krekelberg.

John L. Spanton
3/4/1945 — 10/8/2013
John L. Spanton, age 68, of Shakopee, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at his residence in Shakopee.
Born on March 4, 1945, in Minneota, Minnesota, the son of Orval and Blanche (Knoben) Spanton. John attended St. Edward's Catholic School until 8th grade, and in 1963 graduated from Minneota High School. He went on to Granite Falls Vocational Technical School, achieving his accounting degree. John married Paulette Winter on June 15, 1963, in Minneota, Minnesota. He worked in finance and accounting, retiring from J & D Drywall in Elko-New Market, Minnesota.
John's hobbies and interest included hunting and fishing as well as most athletic activities and events from softball, baseball, golf and even basketball in his younger days. The Vikings would make or break his weekend as they were his team of choice. He loved watching golf especially the annual Masters event hoping Tiger would be wearing the 'green jacket' after Sunday's final round.
Other interest include cross word puzzles, Crypto-crips and anything that would challenge his mind. John especially enjoyed his wife, two son's, daughter-law and seven grandchildren. The aspect of family was a very important part of his life especially during the Holiday Season as he loved watching the kids open their gifts and dollar scratch off cards. His passion for a quality meal made him very particular about fine foods and having a family dinner as part of the families daily routine. John never complained and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survived by loving wife, Paulette; 2 sons, Mark, and David and wife, Rita; 7 grandchildren, Taylor and Lindsay, Rebecca, Alex, Olivia, Cecelia and Andrew; sisters and brother, Mary Muchlinski and husband, Jim, Julie Goos and husband, Dale, Doug and wife, Lois.
John was preceded in death by his parents.

Calvin L. Brown
8/29/1924 — 10/2/2013
Calvin L. Brown, age 89, of Shakopee died suddenly at home on October 2, 2013. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosemary; sons and daughters, Gary Brown and friend Polly of Garrison; Pat (Frank) Ries of Bovey, Bonnie (Kevin) Dahn of LeSueur, Susan Turner of Northfield, Bill (Julie) Brown of Shakopee, Mike (Melissa) Brown of Burnsville; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Brown of Shakopee. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Daisy (Fulmer) Brown; sisters, Roberta Chadwick and Virginia Lano.
Cal was born on August 29, 1924, in Shakopee. He married Rosemary Hartman on October 25, 1947, at St. Benedict. They would have celebrated their 66th anniversary this year.
A Veteran of World War II, Cal served in the South Pacific 25th Infantry Division Military Police Battalion as a Sergeant with the United States Army. He was a Past Commander of Shakopee American Legion Post 2 and a member of Shakopee Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4046, and was a long time member of the Shakopee Veterans Memorial Unit. Cal was an Honorary Life Member of the James F. Campbell 1685 Knights of Columbus of Shakopee.
He was an active member of St. Mark's Catholic Church serving on the Parish Council and as a Lector. He also served on the Shakopee School Board for 9 years. Cal retired as a rural letter carrier with the United States Post Office. He spent many winters in Arizona and enjoyed traveling, playing cards and visiting with friends.

Anna Kirillovna Murza

Anna Kirillovna Murza, age 86, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minnesota.
Born on July 3, 1927, in Stepan, Ukrain, the daughter of Kirill and Antonina (Marchuk) Cecik. Anna was a homemaker.
Survived by daughters and sons, Valentina (Anatoly) Nikitsky, Yaroslav (Tamara) Murza, Nickolay (Tamara) Murza, Alexandr (Nina) Murza, Sergey (Galina) Murza, Fedir (Olesya) Murza; grandkids and great-grandkids.

Lawrence 'Larry' Jamerson
6/29/1954 — 9/29/2013
Lawrence 'Larry' Jamerson, age 59, of Fridley, died on September 29, 2013 in Fridley.
Larry was born on June 29, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Patrick Lawrence Lindsey and Larnzette Jamerson.
He was a 1972 graduate of Dunbar High School; attended Bell and Howard Technical School; and was a 1985 graduate of DeVry University.
Larry served his country in the United States Navy.
He was very smart and mild mannered. He enjoyed kids, especially his many nieces and nephews.
In his words, he was 'looking forward to the time when we are all one race....human.'
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Darelle Sims, Robert Sims, Howard Sims, Michael Sims, Janina Taylor, and Mark Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Allen J. Fournier
12/20/1936 — 9/27/2013
Allen J. Fournier, age 76, of Shakopee, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 27, 2013.
Allen was born on December 20, 1936, in Terrebonne, Minnesota, the son of Adrian and Georgianna (Thibert) Fournier. He graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN, and then Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN where he received a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration. Allen married Judy Brandt on November 3, 1962, in Oklee, Minnesota. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy, serving on a destroyer ship during the end of the Korean War.
Allen was a certified public accountant, and joined Honeywell in 1967. He was a former director of Honeywell's international tax function, and was responsible for Honeywell's global tax issues. He was a member of TEI's Minnesota Chapter. Allen retired from Honeywell as the Vice President of international tax.
Allen loved St. John's football, and fishing. He was a member of the Shakopee Lions Club. Together, he and Judy enjoyed their campground, A-J Acres Campground in Clearwater, MN, and their home in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; sons and daughters, Mark, Tom (Diana Dimarino), David, Ann (Greg) Valek, Susan (Chris) Reynolds; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded by parents, Adrian and Georgianna; brother, Raymond; sister, Georgette Gibson; and one granddaughter.

Paula S. Sutton
10/11/1958 — 9/19/2013
Paula S. Sutton, age 54, of Shakopee, died on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at her home. Paula was born on October 11, 1958, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Richard and Eunice (Fox) Sutton. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include children, Abbey (Lance) Bernstein, Morgan (Brittany Field) Crooks, and Adam (Jahaira) Crooks; 2 brothers, John and Gene; 2 sisters, Cher and Laurene; 6 grandchildren. Paula was preceded in death by the father of her children, Alfred Crooks; grandson, Cyan Crooks; and her parents.
Pallbearers are Adam, Morgan, Danny 'Skip', Glynn and Steven Crooks and Lance Bernstein.

Gary R. Wendorff

Gary R. Wendorff, age 69, of Shakopee died on Friday, June 30, 2014 at his home in Shakopee. Gary was born on April 9, 1945 in Hutchinson the son of Emil and Freda (Schlueter) Wendorff. He married Delores M. Koelln on July 8, 1967 in Litchfield.
Gary was a retired employee of Lake Region Medical where he worked as a machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; children Jeff Wendorff of Shakopee; Lynn (Butch) Olson of Atwater, Laura Wendorff of Shakopee; 9 grandchildren, Adam (Kendra) Nix, Matthew, Kurtis, Austin and Toni Wendorff, Geneva Brown, Payton and Parker Olson; 1 great grandchild, Owen Nix; brother, Ralph Wendorff of Hutchinson and sister, Carol (Wayne) Bachman of Shakopee.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary's grandchildren, Adam Nix, Matthew, Kurtis, Austin and Toni Wendorff and Payton Olson.
