Robert Lee Brown Jr.
Robert “Lil Bob” Brown, 28, of Prior Lake, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Spring Lake Township, Scott County, Minn.
He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on July 9, 1981 to Robert and Cathy (Walker) Brown. He was employed as an auto body worker for RBJ Auto Repair in Shakopee.
He is survived by parents, Robert and Cathy Brown; son, Robert Brown III; sisters, Shannon, Michelle, and Mercedes Brown; grandparents, Marlene and Gene Seavey, Barb and Ellis Walker; niece Mya Brown. He will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by an uncle, Stephen Walker; great-grandmother, Donna Rosenthal; cousin, Robert Walker.
Visitation was Monday, July 27, from 5-8 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee.
Funeral service was Tuesday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shakopee, with the Rev. Peter Wittman officiating. Pallbearers were Devon, Robert and Ellis Walker, Robert Brown III, Nate Barger, Theola “Rooster” Freeman and Kevin Vogt. Interment at Catholic cemetery, Shakopee.

Mitchell Glenn Wright
Mitchell Wright, a soft-spoken, courteous, thoughtful son, brother, grandson and uncle, has passed away.
In his early years, he enjoyed the family camping trips. He entered college at St. Cloud State, where he thoroughly enjoyed working out in the gym and cheerleading for the Huskies, and graduated with a major in computer analysis. One of his favorite vacationing spots was visiting and scuba driving with friends in Florida. He traveled to Las Vegas with his brothers and to Idaho to visit his uncle and aunt. Mitchell loved computers and attending car shows and enjoyed nice cars with big and fast engines. The two passions in his life were his current car, Chrysler 300, and his home in Ramsey, Minn.
Mitchell, 33, of Ramsey, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 4, 2009. He was born Sept. 17, 1975 in Rochester, Minn. to parents Ron Wright and Janelle Lueck.
Mitchell will be loved and forever missed by his father, Ron (Tamra) Wright of Prior Lake; brothers, Michael Wright of St. Michael, Matthew Wright of St. Michael, Nathan Wright of Prior Lake, Chad (Angie) Stensrud of Chaska, Erik Stensrud of Prior Lake, Steve (Annie) Stensrud of Rochester; grandparents, Henry and Carol Wright of Fargo, N.D.; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Mitchell now rests in heaven with his mother Janelle Hatfield.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 7, from 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Celebration of Life Service is Saturday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m., all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral, 4565 Pleasant Street S.E., Prior Lake, with Pastor Timothy Heupel officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Spring Lake cemetery, Prior Lake. Pallbearers are Michael Wright, Matthew Wright, Nathan Wright, Chad Stensrud, Erik Stensrud, Steve Stensrud.

Marie Busch, 96, of New Market, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 50 Church Street, New Market. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Interment at St. Nicholas cemetery.

Brandon LaFond passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Beloved son of Michael and Karri of Prior Lake. Also survived by sister, Madison; brother, Carson; grandparents, Arthur and Ione LaFond of Prior Lake.
Susan Holland-Hetzler
Susan Holland-Hetzler, 53, died in her home in Prior Lake on Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
Survived by loving husband, Donald Hetzler; children, Brandi and Christopher; sisters, Wendy, Lauri and Julie. Susie loved flowers and worked seasonally in greenhouses for many years.
Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at Cremation Society of MN Chapel, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina. Visitation one hour prior.
Evelyn Elizabeth Cox
Evelyn Cox, 90, of Shakopee, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Shakopee on Saturday, May 19, 2007.
She was born July 16, 1916 in Savage, the daughter of John “Hal” and Philamena “Minnie” (Ring) Huth. After the passing of her mother, she was raised by her stepmother, Martha Spielman. She married
Hector Cox Oct. 12, 1940 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Shakopee. Hector died July 19, 1993.
Evelyn will be missed deeply and forever loved by her family. She loved children and worked in daycare for 25 years. Evelyn was awarded a gold star due to the loss of her son, Richard, in Vietnam.
Survivors include her loving family, children, James (Judy) Cox, Barbara (Bob) Stark, Beverly (Cleon) Ince, all of Shakopee, Tom Cox (Noel Baker) of Bloomington, Ronald Cox of Prior Lake; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Mable) Huth of Shakopee.
Besides her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard and Kevin Cox; two sisters; five brothers.
Visitation Monday, May 21 from 4-8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Shakopee and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Shakopee. Pallbearers were Bob Stark, Jeff Stark, Dan Ince, Joe Notermann, Jeremy Notermann and Jacob Hunstable. Interment at Catholic cemetery, Shakopee.

Verena M. Nagel
Verena “Rena” Nagel, 93, of Shakopee, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee.
Rena was born and raised in Shakopee. She was born March 10, 1914 to William and Louise (Koeper) Luers. She married
Norbert Nagel Feb. 27, 1946 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Shakopee. She was a member of the C.C.W. at St. Mark’s.
Rena is survived by brother, Gilbert (Dorothy) Luers of Rapid City, S.D.; sister-in-law, Rosella Stellmach of St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, William.
Visitation was Friday, May 25 from 9-11 a.m. at Church of St. Mark in Shakopee. Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Calvary cemetery, Jordan. Pallbearers included Wyatt Reed, Warren Reed, Terry Nemitz, Marsha Moon, Nathan Nemitz, Jim Nord. Honorary pallbearers were Vaughn Stellmach, Duane Metz, George Moon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Mark’s Restoration Fund.

Milida Alberttina Frinkman
Milida “Milly” Frinkman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Gertrude's Health Care Center in Shakopee.
Milida was born Nov. 29, 1920 in Latvia to Adolph and Julianna (Wiedner) Zimmer. She had six brothers, Paul, Edward, Oscar, Avold, Albert and Leonard and one sister, Edith. Milida’s family arrived at Ellis Island in 1921. Her family settled in Springbrook, N.D. She completed her education and worked as a housekeeper at the age of 16. She continued her work career as a waitress at Charlie’s Restaurant where she met many celebrities.
While working in Minneapolis, a good friend invited Milly and Bob to a dinner party. On April 7, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert Emmett Frinkman at Central Lutheran Church. They established their home in Bloomington. They had three daughters, Betty Ann, Nancy Jean and Roberta Eileen.
In 1962 Bob and Milly moved their family to Prior Lake. While Bob worked construction, Milly ran the farms. Milly was active in her church, Shepherd of the Lake, and the local P.T.A. Milly’s interests included attending concerts and school events for her daughters. She also loved flowers and gardening. She taught many of us the proper names of flowers, how to spell them, and care for them. She was a member of the Horticultural Society of MN. Milly was a wonderful seamstress and loved making gowns for her daughters. Roberta was honored to be married
in a gown sewn by her mother. Milly was also a great cook and baker. She always had wonderful meals ready for family and friends.
Bob and Milly retired to Florence, Ariz. in 1976. She enjoyed playing bingo twice a week. She loved her new friendships in the retirement village.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy Jean of Prior Lake, Roberta and Ed Grube of Poplar, Wisc.; grandchildren, Gretchen and Andy Grube; brother, Albert; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.

Jean Ruth Mistelske
Jean Mistelske, 92, born in Berlin, Germany, February 21, 1915, died in Sand Springs, Okla., Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
Jean resided in Prior Lake from 1980 to 1993, where she was recognized as the elderly lady often seen riding her bicycle around town.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, in 1980. Jean is survived by her only child, son Michael, and his wife, Barbara, residing in Sand Springs, Okla. Jean had lived near Michael and Barbara in Oklahoma since 1993. Jean is also survived by Michael’s two daughters, Michelle and Alexandra, both residing in Arizona.
Doris (Zarth) Wermerskirchen
Doris Wermerskirchen, 95, of Jordan, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007.
Doris was born in Grass Lake Township, Kanabec County, Minnesota on June 30, 1912, the daughter of Hilmer and Marie (Halverson) Strand. She married
Walter Zarth Nov. 14, 1932 at Brunswick Lutheran Church in Mora, Minn. Walter died Dec. 1, 1972. Doris and Alfred Wermerskirchen were married
July 24, 1973 at St. John the Baptist Church in Jordan. Alfred died Feb. 18, 2001. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings.
Doris will be remembered as a very generous and good hearted woman. She was a member of Immanual United Methodist Church in Jordan. She was the oldest member of the Jordan V.F.W. Auxiliary (65 years). Doris was a musician and played the organ, piano and accordion. She was an avid card player and loved to gamble and play bingo. This graduate of Mora High School worked at Mudbaden for 20 years and was also employed at Continental Tool and MVEC.
Loved and forever missed by her sons, Allan (Iyla) Zarth of Shakopee, Stephen Zarth and Kitty Mahal of Roseville; grandson, Kurt Zarth of Shakopee; stepson, Ronald (Eileen) Wermerskirchen of Northfield; stepdaughter, Ann Marie (Tom) Klotz of Prior Lake; stepgrandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ellie Strand of Anoka, Verna Mae Strand of Mora; many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Visitation was Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9-10 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Jordan. Funeral services followed at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Judy McEachran presiding. Pallbearers were Harold Strand, Gary Savston, Joan Steel, Jim Maas, Fred Strand, Lonnie Strandland, Diane Gibas, and Gil Strand. Interment at Fort Snelling National cemetery, Minneapolis on Monday Sept. 10 at 10 a.m.

Donald Jay Abrams, M.D.
Donald Abrams, M.D., 68, of Prior Lake, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with myelofibrosis.
Dr. Abrams was born Nov. 9, 1938 in Chapin, Iowa to Lloyd and Mabel (Andrews) Abrams. He married
Kathleen (Chamberlin) Abrams March 13, 1976 and they were blessed with four children.
He will be loved and forever missed by his loving wife, Kathe Abrams; children; Noelani Abrams of Minneapolis, Tiffany (Shane) Nichols of Cohasset, Mass., Ben (Molly) Abrams of New Brighton, David Jay Abrams of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Lily and Delaney Jay Nichols; brother, Lloyd Jr. (Marcia) Abrams of Mason City, Iowa; sister, Bonnie (Fred) MacDougal of Liscomb, Iowa; sister-in-law, Mary Abrams of Arizona; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Abrams M.D.
A time of gathering for family and friends was Friday, Sept. 14, from 3-9 p.m. at Church of St. Michael, Prior Lake, with a 7 p.m. Remembrance Service. A visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. at Church of St. Michael. Pallbearers are Tom Davidson, ****** Powell, Lee Sexe, Bob Goggins, Leo Le, Dr. Harry Alcorn II, Steve Schmid, Dr. Dan Trajano and Dave Fleming. Honorary pallbearers include the Monday AM & PM Golfers, Bridge Group, Executive Poker Committee, Dr. Thad Abrams, and Mary Young. Interment at Spring Lake cemetery, Prior Lake.
Donald was board certified in family medicine, a longtime dedicated physician of Park Nicollet Medical Center who was loved by his patients of the Shakopee and Prior Lake clinics. His passions were life, music and family. Donald was very involved with many community programs. He was a long time member of the Shakopee Rotary Club where he served as president, was awarded a Paul Harris fellowship and had 20 years of perfect attendance, member of the Prior Lake Yacht Club, Prior Lake Wind Jammers, and Chaska Community Band. Don was the former Chief of Staff at St. Francis Hospital, former president of the Shakopee Medical Center from 1973-1985, former South Region Practice Director of Park Nicollet Medical Clinic, former president of the Scott-Carver Medical Society and a member of the Clinical Faculty Department of Family Medicine at the U of M Medical School where he also mentored many new physicians. Donald loved a friendly competition of cards with family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, tennis, bridge, poker, downhill skiing, sailing, boating, and music. He served our country as a captain in the U.S. Army.
A recent blood drive was held in Don’s name that involved over 300 participants, 200 volunteers, 98 who where first time blood donors which resulted in 141 pints of blood donated to help those in need.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be most grateful for donations, which will be distributed by the family in Don’s name.
