LaVonne Anderson
LaVonne Eloise Anderson passed away peacefully at the J. A. Wedum Residential Hospice Home on Friday, July 10, 2015, at the age of 77.

LaVonne was born to Andrew Severin and Anna Wilhelmina (Oman) Norberg on December 14, 1937 in rural Isanti County where she lived most of her life. LaVonne went to Cambridge Schools through eighth grade. Her family moved to Spring Lake near North Branch where she graduated from North Branch High School in 1955. LaVonne worked as secretary at Northwestern Bank in northeast Minneapolis and as an office clerk in the military prior to her marriage. She married Marvin Raynold Anderson November 28, 1959, and they built a home near Grandy in 1963. In 1965, they opened the Anderson’s K.O. Service, their family-run service station/towing business, in Cambridge. They would later rent U-Hauls for 25 years and then Ryder Rentals for 10 years. They also enjoyed farming in their spare time. LaVonne worked for about 18 years at the People’s Café in Cambridge as a server and for 19 years she worked at the Cambridge Medical Center, most often in the registration department.

LaVonne enjoyed being involved in activities with her children. She was a 4-H leader for the Hi-Lites 4-H club, a Girls Meeting God Leader and Sunday School teacher at Stanchfield Baptist Church where she especially liked working with the special needs children at church. In her “senior” years she enjoyed many of the activities at Stanchfield Baptist Church with her friends there. She also loved getting together with co-workers on many outings. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren as they participated in many activities. Some special memories they have were Easter egg hunts, family hayrides, hanging May baskets and visiting them on Halloween. She especially loved watching and being involved with the Flat Track Motorcycle races held locally. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Albert Frank Nelson, Martin Donald Norberg and Wallace Lee Norberg and sisters, Louise Ann Polzin, Gladys Elaine Corrier. Brothers-in-law; Edward John Polzin, Duane Harold Anderson and Donald Emanuel Anderson, Bruce Lawrence Paulson and Richard John Paulson. Sisters-in-law; Judy Mary Anderson, Gloria Ann (Johnson Anderson) Liams-Stratton and nieces Julie Rae Anderson and Brenda Lee (Anderson).

She is survived by children; Wendy (Clayton) Bengtson-Dalbo, Raynold Anderson-Cambridge, Eloise (Curt) Nettleton-Stillwater and Robert (Darcy) Anderson-Cambridge. Grandchildren; Katie Thompson and Brian Bengtson, Ryan Anderson, Nicole (Michael) Willenbring, Tony and Jaci Nettleton, Kevin, Conner and Cole Anderson and great-grandson Lincoln Thompson. Brothers; Kenneth Severin (Sarah) Norberg-Smithville, Georgia and William James (Patty) Norberg-

Cambridge. Brother-in-Law; Wayne Morris Corrier, New Brighton. Sisters-in-law; Linda Anderson-Portland, Oregon, Joy Paulson-Bradenton, Florida, Pam Wakefield-Mesa, Arizona, Mary E. Rinn-Portland, Oregon, Christine Paulson, Coon Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Christine Claire Meagher
Christine Claire (English) Meagher, age 40, of Harris passed away on June 17th, 2015.

Christine was born destined for the loving arms of Forrest and Susan (Hendrickson) English on April 2nd, 1975. With her family, she resided in Minneapolis, Sacramento, and Prospect, Kentucky - excluding of course all of those summers on Pine Island, Rainy Lake, and Ontario. She later returned to Minnesota and completed her Associate of Arts degree at The Arts Institute of Minnesota. She found a career she enjoyed in the mortgage title business, through which she met many friends.

She married Peter Meagher on August 17th, 2002. She continued in the title business until the birth of their first daughter Margaret on April 9th, 2005. At that point she found her true calling as a full-time mother. She continued her mastery of the role with birth of their second daughter Julia on September 27th, 2008. Her grace, poise, patience, kindness, and humor are just some of the gifts she has bestowed on them.

Christine developed many relationships and many roles. She was active in her PEO Chapter, loving her PEO sisters and their philanthropic activities. She was also very active as a member of Fish Lake Lutheran Church, most recently as part of the MET team coordinating the call for a new pastor. Those activities along with her book club and knitting sales spread her joy even further. She developed cherished friendships through these and other endeavors.

Christine was preceded in death by her father Forrest English and is survived by her husband Peter, daughters Margaret (age 10) and Julia (age 6), brother Alexander English of San Diego, CA, mother and step-father Susan and Peter Mauritz of South Salem, OH. She has many cherished extended family members and friends who will continue this life with many memories of her in their hearts.

Bernice Lind
Bernice Lind, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Homestead of Anoka.

Services are currently pending.

Leeta Hartnett
Leeta Myrtle Hartnett was born on December 2, 1927 to Jakob and Myrtle Fichtenberg of Davenport, WA. She died June 21, 2015 at her son’s home in Cambridge, MN.

Leeta grew up on a small farming community with her brother Wesley.

She attended Davenport High School; graduating in 1944. She went on to Interior Design school at Spokane Fall Community College. She worked for JCPenny as an outside consultant and then went on to finish her Interior Decorator career with Ethan Allen in Federal Way, WA.

She married Kenneth B. Hartnett shortly after graduating high school, residing in Spokane, WA, and had two beautiful children; Laurie and Kevin (Michelle).

She was blessed with four grandchildren; Linda (BJ) Babb, Tom Fox, and Ben & Kallan Hartnett. She is also survived by her special nieces; Dana (Jerry) Parker and Leslie (Jeff) Warner.

During her retirement she loved to play tennis and cards with friends. She travelled to Europe and Italy, but she truly cherished her time with her family.

Timothy Krause
Timothy Paul Krause, age 65, of Isanti, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, in St. Cloud. He is survived by his children and other relatives and friends.

Dennis Rennaker
Dennis Lee Rennaker, age 66 of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2015 at Unity Hospital.

preceded in death by his parents Wendle and Rose; uncles Gaylord Rennaker, Bill DeGriselles, Jack Karstens; nephews Nathan Denham and Nick McChesney.

Survived by his siblings Gary (Carol) Rennaker, Wendle Rennaker Jr., Connie (David) Downs, Candy McColley and Colleen (Doug) Becklin.

Also survived by aunts; Shirley Karstens and Bev DeGriselles; uncles, Frank (Ardy) Rennaker and Wayne(Irene) Rennaker special cousin Rick Rennaker, friends at Brighter Day and Industries Inc.

A special thanks to Julie Rennaker for all of her help and encouragement. Also to the staff at Unity ICU and West2 Oncology, especially to Dr. Keller including the palliative care staff at Unity, Kate and Dr. Lynch.

Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Common Ground, A United Methodist Community, 404 N. Cypress St. Cambridge, MN

Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home 311 Ashland St. S Cambridge 763-689-2244 and 1 hour prior to service at church on Wednesday.

Interment Union cemetery, Isanti.

Marlys McGannon
Marlys Joan McGannon, 49, of Cambridge died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her home.

She was born August 14, 1958 in Baudette, Minnesota to Marvin and Marian (Herman) Weigelt.

On August 11, 2001 she was united in marriage to Michael McGannon in Crystal, MN. The couple made their home north of Bradford. Mike passed away in January 2006 while in Jamaica. Marlys continued to live at the home. Marlys worked at Bauerly Brothers for over four years.

She enjoyed her flower gardens, her dogs, feeding and watching all the birds around her house. She also enjoyed spending time on her computer and loved the two trips she made to Jamaica with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, infant brother Robert Weigelt, brother Dale Weigelt and husband Michael McGannon.

Marlys is survived by her siblings Chuck and wife Mary Herman of Rhode Island, Teresa and husband Don Davidson of Bemidji, Marian Weigelt of Mountain Iron, MN, Debra and husband George Moylan of Virginia, MN, Larry Weigelt of Waskish, Kimberly Harju of Eveleth, aunt Charlot Weigelt of Kimball, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Vivian Ostrom
Vivian Norma Ostrom, age 93, of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing West.

She was born on December 17, 1921 in Pine County, Minnesota.

Vivian is survived by her daughters Cheryll Ostrom of Minneapolis, Pamela Ostrom of Minneapolis, Rebecca Ostrom (Bill Reeves), of Ashland, Oregon, sons Greg Ostrom of Grasston, Minnesota, Rolland Ostrom of Palm Desert, California, and grandchildren Jonathan (Nikki) Ostrom and Jaclyn Ostrom.

No services currently scheduled. Interment will be private.

Edith Grant
Edith H. Grant, age 98 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at GracePointe West care center on August 7, 2015.

She was born November 27, 1916 to Carl Carlin and Mary Pearson on a farm in Bethel Township of Anoka County, south of Isanti, MN. She attended district 53 school for grades 1-12.

Edith married Fred Grant of Linwood Township. Edith and Fred built a house midway between Soderville and Isanti just west of highway 65. After Fred’s passing, Edith continued to live in her home until 2005.

She was an active member of Bethel Community Church. She graciously gave of herself to her church, various charities and extended family. She was also very active in the East Bethel Boosters in her later years.

Edith is preceded in death by her husband Fred, brothers, Stanley, Harold and Arvid Carlin; sisters Lily Dahlberg, Florence Fiedler and Geraldine Malm

She is survived by her nieces Teri (Johnny) Elgin, Peggy Lazer nephew David (Kathleen) Carlin; sister’s-in-law Lila Carlin and Betty Carlin and many other nieces and nephews.

Scott Larson
Scott Gerald Larson, 62, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Aspen Adult Foster Care in Cambridge.

He was born on April 10, 1953 in Princeton, Minnesota to Gerald and Iris (Peterson) Larson. Scott was baptized and confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church. He grew up in the Cambridge Schools, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1971. After high school, Scott went on to attend Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated from there in 1975.

On August 18, 1978 he was united in marriage to Nancy Horton at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins. They raised their three daughters in Cambridge.

In 1976 Scott began working for the City of Cambridge as City Administrator where he served for over 20 years. He also drove school bus in the early years and after his administrator job he worked as an insurance broker for several years until his declining health.

Scott was a lifetime member of Cambridge Lutheran Church where he was involved with greeting and ushering, he went on Mission trips, and was always involved with his girls’ church activities. He served on the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief. Scott enjoyed playing softball, golfing, skiing, watching and playing other sports, reading, and boating at the cabin on Sand Lake. His family was his joy and passion, spending time with them is what his life was about. He was always willing to help family, friends or anyone else who needed it.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Gerald and Iris Larson, and brother Jeff Larson. Scott is survived by his wife Nancy of Cambridge, daughters Emily and husband Andrew Graham of Jackson, WY, Heidi and husband Craig Lietha of St. Cloud, Molly and husband Matt Grell of Isanti, four grandchildren Greta Graham, Reese, Carter, and Addison Lietha, sister Stephanie and husband Ed Stec of Wyoming, MN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Sharon Lundin
Sharon Mae (Nelson) Lundin, age 71 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on June 27, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing.

Sharon was born November 19, 1943 to Carl & Evelyn Nelson. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Spring Lake Lutheran church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; LeRoy and Ralph and her daughter Julie.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Walter; daughter Susan Lundin of Phoenix, AZ, son-in-law Ben Borja of Georgia; grandchildren Benjamin (Marissa) Borja of Tennessee, Suzanne (Cory) Hart of North Carolina, Rhende (Matthew) Ward of Ohio; great-grandchildren Juliet, Harper, Bennett and Evelyn.

Also survived by her brothers, John (Lynn) Nelson of Andover, MN, Paul Nelson of East Rural Cambridge, Jim (Cathy) Nelson of East Rural Cambridge; sisters, JoAnn (Louie) Leajgeld of St. Peter, MN, Maureen (Dave) Anderson of Renville, MN, sister-in-law Cathy Nelson and her special friend Roger Cheez of Spectacle Lake, MN and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Cambridge High School. Aside from being a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother, she had worked for Northwestern Bank, Control Data, Spring Lake Products and Cambridge Metals & Plastics. She was raised a farm girl, gaining her hard work ethic from milking cows and doing farm chores with her dad and brothers and also learning her fabulous cooking and gardening skill from her mom. Her true joys were getting her family and friends together for mouthwatering meals on holidays, events or just to spend time together.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
