KAREN MARIE DIVER
Karen Marie Diver, 46, of Cloquet passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 24, 1955, in Cloquet to Eugene and Evelyn (Benjamen) Reynolds. Karen married
David Diver Sr., in 1974. She worked at Diamond Brands for the past 15 years. She enjoyed baseball, bowling and bingo.
Karen was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michelle; her father, Eugene; brothers Alvin and Darrell; and sister Mary.
She is survived by her husband, David Diver Sr.; children David Jr., and Brenda; grandchildren Chaya, Xavier, Kailey, Inez, Azriah and Uriah; her mother, Evelyn; brothers Eugene (Ruby), Dean, David (Leeann), George, Gerald (Diane) and Ernest (Karen), all of Cloquet; sisters Irma (Ralph) Stein of Cloquet, Marlys (Terry) White Tree of Oklahoma, and Darlene Diver of Cloquet; 19 nieces; and 16 nephews.
TRADITIONAL Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday and continues throughout the evening, until the traditional funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fond du Lac Headstart Gymnasium, 105 University Road, Cloquet. Pallbearers will be Wayne and Luke Reynolds, Junior Diver, Leroy Shabaiash, John Diver and Calvin Brigan. Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Aubid, Robert King, Robert Blacketter and Pete Brisbois. VERA I. OUELLETTE
Vera I. Ouellette, 87, of Ashland passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2001.
She is survived by sons David (Sharon) Ouellette of Glendale, Calif., and Rob D. (Ruth) Ouellette of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

CLARENCE L. SAMUELSON
Clarence L. Samuelson, 88, of Grand Rapids died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Leisure Hills Care Center, Grand Rapids.
Clarence was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Deer River to Louis and Mary Samuelson and was a 1931 graduate of Deer River High School. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran. Clarence married
Vera Stephenson Dec. 3, 1942. He worked for Lakeland Creamery in Grand Rapids from 1946-1970, and for Swanson Motors from 1970 until retirement in 1981.
He was a member of Grand Rapids Alliance Church.
Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; daughters Faith Wopata of Grand Rapids and Joan Brennan of Edina, Minn.; and grandchildren Joshua and Scott Wopata, and Amanda Cornelius.

DAMIAN C. GRAIG
Damian C. Graig, 31, of Hibbing, formerly of Embarrass, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001.
He is survived by his mother, Linda R. Cox, and stepfather, Creighton Cox; grandmothers Mary Harms and Marjorie Cox; a brother, Sidney C. Graig; and stepbrothers Shawn Cox and Craig Cox.

JOSEPH LOUIS LOPAC
Joseph Louis Lopac, 79, of Hibbing died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001.
He is survived by his loving wife, Olga; daughter Nancy Lopac; son Joseph Lopac; granddaughter Elisa Ricci; grandson Joseph (Laurie) Ricci; two brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

MAYANN PASSI
MayAnn Passi, 76, of Iron died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
She was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Chisholm. She worked as a registered nurse for the Eveleth Community Hospital and Mesabi Medical Center in Hibbing.
MayAnn is survived by a son, William Passi of Iron; a daughter, Carol (Larry Marsolek) Passi of Rochester, Minn.; and a brother, William Barke of California.

RICHARD JAMES REINHARDT
Richard James Reinhardt, 76, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, in his residence in Winton.
He was born in Royalton, Iowa, on Nov. 16, 1925, to Franz and Augusta Reinhardt. Richard was a World War II Army veteran and married
Laurette Blanche Grosseret on Oct. 5, 1946. He retired from Minnesota Power in 1981, and was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Ely.
Richard was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Laurette of Winton; daughters Vicki (James) Wagner of Ely and Barbara (Neil) Weisinger of Winton; son Richard James of Virginia; grandchildren Trisha, Monique, Luke, Wesley, Jennifer, Stacy, Darrin and Dan; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Johnathan, Jackson, Emma and Elizabeth.

Laverne Thramer, 84, of Birchdale, Minn., passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001.
She is survived by children Wanda (Jerry() Christofferson of Virginia, Dorothy Thramer of Portland, Ore., Susan (Louis) Thompson of Fort Thomas, Ky., Ronny (Pam) of Roseau, Minn., and Bruce (Lori) of Baxter, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today with an 8 p.m. prayer service in Helgeson Funeral Chapel, Baudette. Service 2 p.m. Wednesday in United Congregational Church, Birchdale. Interment in Birchdale cemetery.
JEAN E. (HANCOCK) CHIOCCA
Jean E. (Hancock) Chiocca, 49, of New Brighton, Pa., and formerly of Forbes died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in New Brighton, Pa.
She was born March 14, 1952, in Eveleth, the daughter of John P. and June (Nelson) Hancock. She was a graduate of Cherry High School and lived in Forbes and Denver prior to moving to Pennsylvania. Jean was a homemaker, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution: Jacob Feree Chapter, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and active in the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Through her many battles with cancers, Jean's unyielding spirit and strong faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, John and June Hancock, Forbes; her husband, Jack Chiocca Sr.; sons Michael Pingatore and Matthew Pingatore, both of Denver, and Nick Pingatore of Hibbing; a daughter, Mari (Sabir) Amjad of Monaca, Pa.; stepchildren John W. Chiocca Jr. of Pleasant Hills, Pa., Julie A. Scalise of Lenoir, N.C., Natalie L. Kowalewski of Allison Park, Pa., and Michelle L. Waite of Lincoln Place, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; brothers John G. (Susan) Hancock, James K. (Debra) Hancock and Jerry A. (Suzanne) Hancock, all of Virginia, Jay M. (Harriet) Hancock of Faribault, Minn., and Jeffrey S. (Annie) Hancock of Mesa, Ariz.; sisters Judith D. (John) Koski of Iron and Janet (James) Churchtown of West Jordan, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Thursday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Virginia Ward. Bishop Jim Hancock will officiate. Interment in the Forbes cemetery.

MARGUERITE ANN NAUHA
Marguerite Ann Nauha, 81, of Two Harbors died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Lake View Home, Two Harbors.
She was born in Moose Lake to Axel and Emily (Erickson) Friesendahl on July 22, 1920. She graduated from Moose Lake High School, attended beauty school in Duluth and worked for Sears in Minneapolis.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Donald Amundson and Leonard Nauha; brother Leonard Friesendahl; and sister Marie Flatley.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Jettenberg of Salida, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
