She is survived by a son, Harry (Carol Stevens) Burger of Superior; a daughter, Becky Malak of Lockport, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday with 11 a.m. service Friday in Brown Funeral Home, Minong. Interment in Wascott cemetery.

Alberta Loretta DeBoer, 83, of International Falls died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Falls Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters Ethel Mae (Dale) Himes of Ray and JoAnn (Julian) Brzoznowski, of Orr.

Lillian Dagle, 78, of Grand Rapids died Monday, April 16, 2001, at the Waters of Park Point Nursing Home, Duluth.
She is survived by daughters, Sylvia Olson, Helen Birt and Sandra Spoors; sons John Pliska and Danny and Henry Dagle; a brother, Frank Pliska; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Barry Thomas Despot
Barry Thomas Despot, 47, of Cloquet died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in his home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1954, in Duluth to Theodore and Jean (Michaelson) Despot. He grew up in Esko and graduated from Esko High School in 1972. He also attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for three years. Barry married
Janice Earnest on Dec. 21, 1974, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Duluth. Barry worked at Potlatch for the past 26 years.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Potlatch PACE Local 7-63 and the Potlatch Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting antiques.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kent.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; sons Bradley (Angela) of Wrenshall and Bernhardt (Amber) of Cloquet; a sister, Stephanie (Mark) Nelson of Esko; grandsons Cody and Kyle Despot; his mother-in-law, Ann Earnest of Duluth; sisters-in-law Lynn Despot of Cloquet and Judith (Bob) Murray of Seattle; nieces and nephews Lindsay and Eric Nelson of Esko and Christopher and Zachary Despot of Cloquet.

Hildur Sandvik
Hildur Sandvik, 86, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in the Sunrise Home.
She was born Oct. 25, 1914, to Carl and Nanny Peterson in Two Harbors, where she grew up and attended schools. She married
Ralph Sandvik Nov. 4, 1947. A homemaker through the years, she was a wonderful cook and baker. She was also a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Through her years of illness and adversity, she maintained a keen sense of humor. Her pets were a very special part of her life.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1997; her parents; and a sister, Alice Wickstrom.
Hildur is survived by her children Bob (Charlotte) Lake of Maple Grove, Minn., Dick (Carole) Carlson of Two Harbors and Darla (Gary) Meier of Duluth; her grandchildren Dr. Mark (Julie) Carlson of Eagan, Minn., Ron (Tawnyea) Lake of Duluth and Rob Lake of Maple Grove, Minn.; her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Aleck of Duluth; and her brothers Lloyd (Marilyn) Peterson of Two Harbors and Ray (Peg) Peterson of Florida.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Sunrise Home for all their love, concern and kindness.

Ina Maki Fisk Helin
Ina Maki Fisk Helin, 87, died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis, where she had lived for the past five years.
She was born Jan. 15, 1914, in Angora and grew up in Angora, Britt and Embarrass. She was a former Duluth resident and had lived in Superior for 10 years and Grand Rapids for more than 25 years. Ina was a graduate of Virginia High School and Duluth State Teachers College. She taught in North Dakota, Minnesota and Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roy Fowler Fisk; and a sister, Ruth Mahonen.
She is survived by her daughters Kathleen (Gerald) Lussier of Grand Rapids and Sandra Helin of Duluth; a son, William Henry Helin of Falls Church, Va.; a stepdaughter, Joyce Helin of Bovey; a sister, Alice Wallace of Houma, La.; grandchildren Amanda Helin, Rose Helin, Kimberly (Monte) Jensen, Timothy (Sherri) Lussier and Kelly, David and Matthew Lussier; great-grandchildren Brenden and Riley Jensen; many nieces and nephews; and her former husband, William Helin.
