Lloyd H. Cross, 79, of South Range died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.
Survivors include sons Lloyd C. (Arlene Chaffey), Duane R. (Veda Larson) and Michael E. (Elizabeth Erickson); daughters Darlene Cross Swanson and Angela (Ronald) Ringwald; four sisters; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday in William Downs-LeSage Funeral Home and 1 until the 2 p.m. service Saturday in Darrow Road Wesleyan Church. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
JOSEPH J. BUDZAK
Joseph J. Budzak, 58, of Bloomington, Minn., formerly of Superior, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in St. Louis Park Methodist Hospital.
Joe was a vice president of administration for Little Six Inc., member of Knights of Columbus Marian Council, H.R. Committee at St. Edwards, an avid golfer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; son Matt; daughter Annie; sisters Mary Ann (Oliver) Houx and Franny Kling; and a brother, Richard.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:7 p.m. today in St. Edwards Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbitt Ave., Bloomington. Burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis Xavier cemetery, Superior. Family and friends may attend.
MARTIN HILDING "MARTY" WHITE
Martin Hilding "Marty" White, 44, of Washburn died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, in St. Luke's hospital.
He is survived by a son, Christopher W. Nelson; his parents, Robert J. Sr. and Elaine; a sister; three nephews; a niece; and three special friends.
Visitation: 5 p.m. today in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home and continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday in Calvary Presbyterian Church, Iron River. Interment in Parkview cemetery, Hawthorne.
ELVA A. ROTSAERT
Elva A. Rotsaert, 89, of Superior died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Bonnie); a daughter, Patricia (Michael) Byrne; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews, including Fay Schold and Dona Finckler; and many friends.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Thursday in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Inurnment in St. Francis cemetery.
EDNA "TINY" FARROW
Edna "Tiny" Farrow, 76, of Superior died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001.
She is survived by daughters Mary Ann Scanlon, Marcie (Roger) Warner and Susie Drake; a son, Will (Terri) Farrow; brothers Bill (Mary) Lambert and Ed (Loretta) Lambert; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service Monday in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.
RUBY MAE PETITE
Ruby Mae Petite, 88, of Superior passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at St. Francis in the Park Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born July 7, 1913, in Brule to Gilbert and Helen Jorgenson. Ruby attended Brule Elementary School, then graduated from Superior East High School, class of 1931. She was employed in various places in Superior and for Felt and Tarrant Manufacturing in Chicago. After working in Chicago, Ruby returned to Superior and taught Comptometer School in Duluth for two years. In 1955, she joined the Greyhound Lines family, where she was employed for 25 years, retiring in 1978.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Tony and Roland Jorgenson; and a sister, Violet Medhurst of Superior.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice (Mel) Stulac of Duluth and Kay (friend George Princl) Jardine of Superior; and a son, Ronald (Dena) Petite of South Range; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10 a.m. Thursday in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Dr. Alan Cutter officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Brule Pine Ridge cemetery, Brule. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
Genevieve J. "Jenny" Rantamaki
Genevieve J. "Jenny" Rantamaki, 57, formerly of Clough Avenue, died Monday, May 21, 2001, in Miller-Dwan Medical Center.
She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Thomas) Renquist and Nancy (Tim) Carlsness; three grandchildren; five brothers; five sisters; and her special friends Evelyn Hagfeld and Bev Shafer.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. prayer service in Downs Funeral Home. Service at 10 a.m. Thursday in Concordia Lutheran Church.
Lucille Meyers
Lucille Meyers, 80, of Superior died Saturday, May 19, 200l, in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Lucille is survived by her sisters, Marie Rose of Milwaukee, Margaret Lundgren of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Teresa (Earl) Davern of Superior; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 9 until the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment in St. Francis cemetery. Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Anton Bleskan
Anton Bleskan, 90, of Superior died Saturday, July 21, 2001, in St. Luke's hospital, Duluth.
He is survived by a son, James (Margie) Bleskan of Superior; a sister, Ann Prince of Seattle; and special nieces Betty Pentony of Duluth and Agnes Zatko of Superior.
Visitation: 9 until the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday in Cathedral of Christ the King, the Rev. Daniel Dahlberg as celebrant. Interment in St. Francis cemetery. Arrangements by Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.
Leonard E. Arneson Jr.
Leonard E. Arneson Jr., 74, of Lamborn Avenue died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1927, in Superior, where he was a lifelong resident. He was a Marine Corps veteran and was a driver for Indianhead Truck Lines from 1955-77. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 346.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Sr. and Margaret (Dishout) Arneson; and daughters Cindy J. and Janice L. Arneson.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; daughters Wendy (Marvin) Hickok of Superior, Mindy (Gary) Trebil of Duluth and Julie (Jeff) Hill of Blaine, Minn.; a son, James (Mindy) Arneson of Superior; grandchildren Shannon (Michael) Cousino, Shane Hickok, Todd Nelson, Christopher and Cassandra Hofich, and Ryan and Brady Arneson; brothers Lloyd (Darlene) Arneson of Springfield, Ore., and Marvin (Marie) Arneson of South Range; and a sister, Irene (Kenneth) Oliver of Superior.

Rauha A. Johnson
Rauha A. Johnson, 92, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in the Sunrise Home in Two Harbors.
She was born Oct. 22, 1908, to Johan and Ida (Norgard) Wehmanen in Suomi, Finland. She moved from Finland to Breda (Brimson) in 1911, where she grew up and attended schools. She married
Fritz in 1926 and he preceded her in death in 1957. She lived in Two Harbors since 1944 and worked at the House of Sweden Restaurant. She also did private companion and housekeeping care for several Duluth women before going to work as a nurse's aide at St. Luke's and St. Mary's hospitals for many years, retiring in 1973.
Rauha was a member of many community groups and was an active and willing volunteer for as long as her health allowed. In 1985, she was honored as Lake County Senior Citizen of the Year.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; a sister; and a granddaughter and her husband, Pat and Bob Schiff.
Rauha is survived by a daughter, Sylvia (Jack) Kuchta of Two Harbors; a sister, Impi Jimnak of Duluth; grandsons Michael Kuchta of Lakewood, Colo., and Thomas Kuchta of Rio Rancho, N.M., great-grandchildren Jennifer and Christopher Kuchta and Joe and Jessica Schiff; and several nieces and nephews.
Rauha's family would like to express very special thanks to the entire staff of the Sunrise Home for their wonderful and tender loving care over the past seven and a half years.

Harland W. Petree, 65, of Willow River died Wednesday, April 18, 2001.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; children Patty, Scott, Steven, Michael David, Michael Wayne, Miles, and Michel (Richard) Swanson; a stepdaughter, Dawn (Tim) Barthman; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two brothers; a sister; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Clarence W. Olson
Clarence W. Olson, 86, of Cook died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in his residence.
He is survived by his sons, Donald (Phyllis) Edblom of Shoreview, Minn., and Richard "Kit" (Charlotte) Olson of Cook; a daughter, Kathryn (Daniel) Forsline of Cook; foster daughters Karen Haliday of Minneapolis, Theresa Lempke of White Bear Lake, Minn., Glenda Brekke of Zimmerman, Minn., and Fran Loushine of Woodbury, Minn.; a brother, John (Marie) Olson of Cook; a sister, Vera Svedberg of Parkville, Minn.; 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
