Billman, Milo M.
Milo M. Billman, 67, of 610 West Wabasha, was born April 20, 1932 in Sharon Township, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Billman, and a sister, Pauline Bozigar.
He is survived by a brother, George (Carol) of Mansfield, OH; and a sister, Wanda Jacobs (Arlo) of Creston, OH.
He was the beloved husband of Jean (April 4, 1959) and father of Amy (Tom Steckling) of Hayward, WI; and Joel (Nance) of Columbia Falls, MT; and grandfather of Alex.
Milo graduated from Wadsworth (Ohio) High School and Wittenberg College. He trained for the ministry at Hamma Divinity School in Springfield, OH. He did a year of pastoral counseling internship at the Topeka, KS and Salem, OR state hospitals. He was ordained into the Lutheran Church in America in 1958. He served as a neighborhood pastor in urban churches in Cincinnati, Columbus and Camden, NJ. He did additional graduate work at the Chicago Urban Training Center and at Capitol University. In Winona he worked for an Ecumenical Coalition of Churches as a community minister, mainly in Thurley Community Homes from 1976-1982.
He then retired because of health problems and enjoyed gardening, baking bread, and helping people. He loved to read by the wood stove in winter.
A memorial celebration is planned for Saturday, April 22, at 5 p.m. at his Annual Birthday Bash at Wiscoy Community Farm. For map or directions call Debi Niebuhr at 452-5215. A potluck supper will be held immediately afterwards with a bonfire and music to follow.
Jozwick, Hilary J.
Hilary J. Jozwick, 90, formerly of 1635 Service Drive, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1909 in Winona, to Thomas and Catherine (Schultz) Jozwick. He married Louise F. Krenzke on June 21, 1939 in Winona. She died in 1989.
Hilary was a 1933 graduate of the University of Minnesota Pharmacy School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Normandy and Northern France and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Survivors include one son, Henry (Judi) Jozwick of Hutchinson, MN; one daughter, Janet (Patrick) Thompson of Appleton, WI; and five grandchildren, Jason and Aran Jozwick, Ryan, Annika and Trevor Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 15 at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph L. Keefe officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Neville Lien Post No. 1287 providing military rites.

Kinscher, Lothar (Mike)
Lothar (also went by the name of Mike) Kinscher, of W25332 Sullivan Road, Trempealeau, WI, died Friday, March 31, 2000 in Newport Beach, CA, while visiting his brother.
Mr. Kinscher was a native of Friedeberg, Germany, born on December 5, 1932, to Joseph and Wilhelmine Kinscher. When he was 18, Mr. Kinscher immigrated to the United States. Shortly after he arrived, Mr. Kinscher was drafted by the U.S. Army and stationed in Fussen, Germany. After his tour of duty, he moved to Milwaukee, WI. There he met his wife Marianne Henrich, who had come to the U.S. from Germany when she was 17. They married on February 1, 1958.
Mr. Kinscher and his wife lived in Brookfield, WI until 1980, when they moved to Grafton, WI. Mr. Kinscher worked for Superior Die Set Corp. in Oak Creek, WI, and then took a job at Russel T. Gilman Inc. in Grafton. Mr. Kinscher retired as the Gilman firm's vice president of manufacturing in December 1996.
After his retirement, Lothar and his wife Marianne moved to Trempealeau, WI, where they had a summer home since 1974. Mr. Kinscher then joined the Trempealeau Lions Club.
Mr. Kinscher is survived by his wife Marianne of Trempealeau, WI; his daughters, Michelle (Greg) Bushey of Arvada, CO, Nicole (Mark) Weiland of Cedarburg, WI, and Denise Kinscher of Flagstaff, AZ; his sons, Norman Kinscher of Costa Mesa, CA, Jim (Nancy) Kinscher of Saukville, WI, and Joe (Stephanie) Kinscher of Valders, WI; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Anneliese (Albert) Muehlbauer and Erika Kinscher, both of Germany; and two brothers, Gerhard (Ellie) Kinscher of Germany, and Hermann (Geri) Kinscher of California.
Funeral services were held for Mr. Kinscher on Sunday, April 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton, WI.
Wise, Ethel A.
Ethel A. Wise, 89, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 at the Watkins Home.
She was born August 22, 1910 in Winona to John and Elizabeth (Gerson) Milnarsek. She married Joseph M. Wise who died in 1953.
Survivors are six children: Arlene (Stan)Phillips, Minneapolis, Joan (Jerry Knutson) Przytarski, Winona, Joseph (Diane) Wise, Goodview, and Everett Wise, Loretta (Norbert) Thrune and Mary Tenorio, all of Winona; twenty grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey Glende, Fountain City, WI and Doris Helgemoe, Winona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall at the Watkins Home, with Chaplain Kathy Redig officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 1 p.m.until time of service at the Watkins Home.

Runkel, Helen M.
Helen M. Runkel, 73, Centerville, WI, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at her home.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 4 at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Trempealeau, WI, with Rev. Robert Wagner officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Ronan, Mary D.
Mary D. Ronan, 96, died Friday, March 31, 2000 at St. Anne Hospice, Winona.
Mary Daley was born August 22, 1903 in Lewiston, MN, to Peter and Helen (Kauphusman) Daley. On August 23, 1921 she married Thomas B. Ronan. He died October 7, 1989. Mary was a lifelong resident of Winona County.
She is survived by one son, John (Annette) of Hopkins, MN; two daughters, Mary R. Kohner of Winona and Georgia (John) Crampton of Portland, OR; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Irene Daley of Hopkins, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, Thomas Peter Ronan, three daughters, Carol Ronan, Rose Halpern, and Marguerite Haas, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services were Monday, April 3 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Lewiston, MN, with Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Neville, Grace "Evelyn"
Grace "Evelyn" Neville, 86, of St. Anne Hospice, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2000 at Community Memorial Hospital of a sudden illness. A former resident of Morningside Terrace, she loved and lived in the shadow of Sugar Loaf for over 60 years.
Evelyn was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 23, 1913 and at two years of age was adopted by her loving parents, Clarence and Mary Bonnell. Throughout her life she was deeply involved with music and was a graduate of the Julliard School of Music and played Carnegie Hall at the tender age of 5.
Evelyn performed as a pianist on Broadway and also worked at Bloomingdales in New York, where she met her future husband. In 1938 they were married and soon moved to Winona to assist Carlton's father at Neville's Clothing Store located on Third Street. After raising her family, she became involved in various occupations, including private home care, hospital housekeeping, hotel management, department store associate and light industry. She soon became known for her perfectionism and dedication to the people she served.
Evelyn is survived by her four children: Dennis (Linda) Neville, Winona, Richard (Mary) Neville, Olympia, WA, Mary (Bob) Haney, of Winona, and Kit (Julie) Neville, Richfield, MN; twelve grandchildren: Debra, Earl and Susan, Terry, Kelly, Lisa and Nancee, Roy III and Barry, Jennifer, Benjamin and Christopher; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard W. Bonnell of New York.
A celebration of Evelyn's life with family and friends will take place at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5 with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., followed by Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Rev. Mary Hurmence of Central United Methodist Church will officiate.
The family would appreciate you coming to celebrate the life of a unique and cherished lady.
