Robert Esmond White
Mr. Robert E. White, age 81, of Annandale died at home and went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Garman officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Southside Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. on Friday.
Robert Esmond White was born April 27, 1921 in Annandale to Alvin and Millie (Daniels) White. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II from 1942-1945. Robert married Edith A. Christianson August 30, 1958 in Minneapolis and she preceded him in death December 25, 2001. He lived in Annandale most of his life where he was a professional fishing guide, painter, and member of Annandale United Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, bass fishing, gardening, sports, and was a dear friend to many.
Robert is survived by sisters, Hazel (Larry) Woolhouse of Minneapolis, Bette (John) Hedstrand of Minneapolis; loving niece, Jean Borman of Brooklyn Center; step son, Ralph (Nancy) Christianson of Brandon, FL; nieces, nephews, and many dear and loving friends. His parents, wife, three sisters, and one brother preceded him in death.
Memorials are preferred.
Pallbearers will be Donald Daniels, Roger Hermes Wally Houle, Bill Mc Ginnis, Russ Eigen, and Gerald Abraham.
Music for the funeral provided by Elwyn Nordberg, Floyd Brown, Larry & Nancy Wasmund.

Edward Charles Purcell
Mr. Edward C. Purcell, age 54, of Owatonna died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2003 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Rev. Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veteran`s Cemetery, Little Falls. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Edward Charles Purcell was born August 7, 1948 in St. Cloud to Earl and Bernice (Coombs) Purcell. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Naval Commendation with Combat V. He married Audrey Rosenow in February of 1971 and they later divorced. Ed owned and operated Purcell Excavating, Annandale from 1982-1994. He was a life member of the Veteran`s of Foreign War and a former member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeff of St. Cloud, Joe of Annandale; father & step mother, Earl & Helen Purcell of Annandale; brothers, sisters, & their spouses, Jack & Peggy of Annandale, Larry & Anna of Annandale, Donald & Patty of Maple Lake, Robert & Carol of Annandale, Mary & William Greene of Owatonna, Daniel of South Haven, Deborah & Dean Flygare of Annandale, Timothy & Mary of Winsted; several nieces and nephews. His mother and two nieces preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Jack, Larry, Donald, Robert, & Timothy Purcell, and Bill Latour; the honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Purcell, Mary Greene, and Deborah Flygare.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
David Joseph Hubbard
David J. Hubbard, age 69, of 6714 80th Street NW, Maple Lake died Monday, January 13, 2003 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2003 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will be on Friday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
David Joseph Hubbard was born May 10, 1933 in Mason City, IA to Joseph and Erin (Ryan) Hubbard. He served his Country during the Korean War in The U.S. Army and married Mary J. Gagnon on May 22, 1987 in Buffalo. He was a wine salesman and since 1979 has lived on Mink Lake, previously living in Minneapolis. He was a member of St. Timothy`s Church and Maple VFW Post #7664. He enjoyed fishing and watching sporting events.
Dave was a loving husband, brother, and son who enjoyed life to the fullest with his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Maple Lake; mother, Erin Hubbard of Apple Valley; sisters, brothers, & their spouses, Margie & Larry Decklever of Lakeville, Jodie Wilson of Minneapolis, Mike & Sue Hubbard of Blaine, Jerry & Rita Hubbard of Lake Elsinore, CA; several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Daniel Wilson, Dave & Rick Decklever, Mitchell, Brian, and Michael Gagnon. Sarah Goelz will provide music for the service.

Genevieve Frances Robinson
Mrs. Genevieve F. Robinson, age 88, of Kimball died Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2003 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Rev. Frank Tomasiewicz officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Anne`s Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Kimball.
Genevieve Frances Robinson was born February 6, 1914 at Racine, WI to Oscar and Bridget (Murphy) Fox. She married Lester C. Robinson March 1, 1946 in Wadena and together they owned and operated the Red Owl Grocery Store in Kimball from 1946-1974. She also was a homemaker and member of St. Anne`s Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lester of Kimball; daughters & their husbands, Mary Jo & Kent Jamison of St. Paul, Jill Ann & William Kilzer of Apple Valley; sisters, Loretta Kelzenberg of Aurora, CO, Mabel Page of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren, Ben & Andrea Jamison, Michael & John Kilzer. Her brothers, William & Eugene Fox preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be Fred Jacobs, Darwin Deuermeyer, Kent Jamison, Bill Kilzer, and her four grandchildren. Frosty Schiefelbein, Mary Mathies, and Jill Ann Kilzer will provide the music. Memorials are preferred to St. Anne`s Church.

Viola Jensen
Mrs. Viola Jensen, age 85, of 50 Sunrise Drive, Kimball died Thursday, February 20, 2003 due to injuries received in a car accident in Litchfield.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Ostmark Lutheran Church, Forest City Township, Meeker County with Rev. Marion Rova officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Viola Jensen was born October 17, 1917 in Kingston Township, Meeker County to August and Sophie (Marila) Hokkala. She married Clarence D. Jensen January 12, 1945. She lived in the Kimball area most of her life where she was a homemaker, farmed with her husband, and also worked 14 years at Fingerhut, St. Cloud. From 1984 until 2002 Viola and Clarence lived on Lake Francis, South Haven. She was a member of Ostmark Lutheran Church and Johnson Kelly Auxiliary Post # 483. She loved her family, cooking for family and friends, gardening, and flowers.
Viola is survived by sons, Bryan (Jean) of Madera, CA, Roger (Sandra) of Hamel; sister, Elona Hoem of Chicago; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; son, Alan; daughter, Sharon Robinet; and grandson, Roger.
Organist for the funeral will be Vicki Toutges.

Keith Raymond Day
Keith R. Day, age 45, of Clearwater died Friday, February 21, 2003 in Minneapolis.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Jeff Palmer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Keith Raymond Day was born April 24, 1957 in Minneapolis to Bruce and Mary (Chapman) Day. He was a 1975 graduate of Wayzata High School.
He is survived by his parents of Clearwater; sisters and brother, Laurie Day (Douglas Thomson) of Minneapolis, Wayne of Andover, Lenore (David) Lemke of Monticello; sister in law, Lynne Day of Minnetonka; 2 nieces; and 4 nephews. His twin brother, Kent, preceded him in death.
Memorials preferred to the homeless.
Music for the service provided by Myrna Jude and Lowell Beck.

Dennis Lloyd Serbus
Mr. Dennis L. Serbus, age 67, of Kimball died Friday, January 31, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2003 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Rev. Frank Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Dennis Lloyd Serbus was born April 26, 1935 in Olivia to Peter and Mabel (Minkel) Serbus. He was a 1954 graduate of Kimball High School and served in the U. S. Air Force from 1957-1961. On December 1, 1962 he married Dorothee M. Proft. Dennis was an operating engineer for Barbarossa and L.C. Petters, Chief of Police in Kimball for 26 years, owned Northern Flite Target, drove truck for Jacobs Concrete, Kimball, and currently was employed by Granite City Ready Mix, Annandale. He was a member of St. Anne`s Catholic Church, lifetime member of the Kimball Rod and Gun Club, 25 year volunteer as a Minnesota Firearms Safety Instructor, NRA, Kimball Lions, and former member of Wright County Peace Officers Association. Dennis loved his family, enjoyed working with his hands, outdoors, hunting, and trap shooting.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Dorothee of Kimball; sons, daughters and their spouses, Becky of New York City, Douglas (Kate) of Kingston, Monya (Shawn) Kalkbrenner of Kimball, Charles (Ann) of Kimball, Matthew and fiancé Carly Schiefelbein of Kimball, brothers, Dick (Connie) of Kimball, Don (Eileen) of Kimball, Gordon (Kathy) of Kimball, Randy (Margaret) of New London; sisters, Cathy (Bill) Russell of Lake Mary, FL, Peggy (Jack) Purcell of Annandale; three grandsons, Luke, Ben, and Aaron. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob; infant sister; sister in law, Patsy; and nephew, Colin.
Pallbearers will be John Nelson, Troy Hilsgen, Bob Kunkel, Shawn Kalkbrenner, Tom Rosenow, and Gale Pope. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Almgren, Don, Dick, and Randy Serbus.

Alice Marie Hildebrand
Alice M. Hildebrand, age 92, of Annandale, MN formerly of Park Falls, WI died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at St. Anthony`s Catholic Church, Park Falls, WI with Father James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery, Butternut Village, Ashland County, WI. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church.
Alice Marie Hildebrand was born April 6, 1910 in Shanagolden, WI to Louis and Cecelia (Hennes) Rein. On February 25, 1930 she married Theodore B. Hildebrand in Jacobs, WI; he preceded her in death March 24, 1974. Alice taught school in Wisconsin for many years, retiring in 1972. She lived in Glidden, Butternut, Fifield, and Park Falls before moving to Annandale 20 months ago. Alice was a member of St. Anthony`s Catholic Church and a 25 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 0182 Wisconsin Dept. She loved her family, enjoyed needlework, sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Alice is survived by 10 children, Arlene (Don) Tiefenbacher of Menomonie, WI, John of North Fond du Lac, WI, Margaret (Romey) Paul of Wausau, WI, Harold (Yasuko) of Oklahoma City, OK, Leland (Evelyn) of Florence, SC, Bernice (Dennis) Jakel of Indianapolis, IN, Dallas (Sue) of Andover, MN, Penny (Bob) Stadele of Muscoda, WI, Gary (Debra) of League City, TX, Keith (Joyce) of South Haven, MN; sisters, Isabelle Ernst of Glidden, WI, Dorothy Eder of Glidden, WI, Sylvia Falch of Eau Claire, WI, Marcella MaCauley of Green Lake, WI, 35 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Theodora Daniecki; brothers, Norman, Ralph, and Dennis; sisters, Florence and Clementine; and grandson, Larry Tiefenbacher.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Beatrice Irene Davidson
Mrs. Beatrice I. Davidson, age 82, of Kimball, formerly of Annandale died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins where she has been a resident the past 2½ years.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Our Saviour`s Lutheran Church, French Lake with Rev. Edward Groop officiating. Burial will follow in Our Saviour`s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel in Annandale.
Beatrice Irene Davidson was born October 10, 1920 at Annandale to Anthony and Lena (Mattsen) Guintire. She married Wesley Davidson on December 23, 1946 in Kimball. She worked in various grocery stores in Annandale and Cokato for several years. From 1986-1998 she and Wesley managed the Kimball Motel. She was a member of Our Saviour`s Lutheran Church and formerly taught Sunday School at Immanuel Lutheran Church, French Lake.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley of Kimball, special friend, Kim Spence of St. Cloud, and several nieces and nephews. Two infant sisters and two sisters, Florence Trukki and Helen Houchins preceded her in death.

Oscar Francis Pippo
Mr. Oscar F. Pippo, age 96, of Annandale died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2003 at Annandale Evangelical Free Church, Annandale with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Oscar F. Pippo was born January 10, 1907 in Farwell to Carl and Anna (Olson) Pipo. He married Hermeonie Zabel on January 20, 1944 in Westmoe Church, Douglas County, MN. Oscar served in the Army during WW II where he received the Good Conduct Medal. He lived in Annandale most of his life where he owned and operated Pippo`s Standard Station Oscar retired in 1976. He was a member of Annandale Evangelical Free Church and Maple Lake VFW Post # 7664. He loved his family, enjoyed trapping, hunting, and woodworking.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Hermeonie of Annandale; daughter, Stacy (Darrel) Worden of Hutchinson; sons, Tim (Michelle) of Maple Lake, Roger of Annandale; daughter in law, Sharon Pippo of Shakopee; sister, Ida Muecke of Alexandria; brother, Roy (Hilma) of Alexandria; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rory; brothers; and sisters.
Pallbearers will be, Roger Pippo, Tim Pippo, Darrel Worden, Frank Pippo, Daniel Cram, and Andy Vander Ploeg.
