William Kessler, 80
William N. "Bill" Kessler, age 80, of St. Michael passed away on Saturday evening, August 13, 2011 at The Buffalo Hospital.
He was born on October 22, 1930 in Frankfort Township, Wright County the son of William and Gertrude Robeck Kessler.
Bill honorably served his Country in The United States Army.
On November 3, 1953, William N. Kessler and Patricia Weber were joined in holy marriage at St. Walburga Catholic Church in Fletcher. God blessed their marriage with four children.
Bill engaged in dairy farming west of St. Michael for many years. He farmed along with brothers John and Wayne in what was known as Kessler Brothers Farms. Bill was very fond of farming and always enjoyed operating farm machinery.
He was a faithful, lifelong member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael.
His grandchildren and their activities were also important to Bill.
Survived by loving wife of fifty-seven years: Patricia; children: Pam (Kent) Bjorklund of St. Michael, Nancy Kessler (Nate Richards) of Albertville, William (Kerry) Kessler and Vicki Dick all of St. Michael; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Lois (Gene) Zachman, Bev Kessler, Wayne Kessler, Kate (Ray) Daleiden and Paul (Joyce) Kessler; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Esther Kessler, Marlene Kessler and Eugene (Phyllis) Weber; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, sisters: Ardis Schleif and Virginia Kessler and brothers: Dale and John Kessler.
A Mass of Christian Burial for William "Bill" Kessler was held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 17th at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Father Nathaniel Meyers was the Celebrant.
Pianist for the funeral Mass was Joseph Krueger. Vocalists were Paul Kessler, Kent Bjorklund and Jane Kessler.
Readers were Sadie Kessler and Cassi Dick.
Gift Bearers were Rachel Knutsen and Allie Knutsen.
A visitation was held at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16th from 4-8 P.M. Further visitation was held at the church on Wednesday, August 17th one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers were Bill's seven grandsons: Nate Dahlheimer, Travis Dahlheimer, Adam Bjorklund, Jake Bjorklund, Bill Kessler, Tom Kessler and Mike Kessler.
The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family.
Robert Kolasa, 56
Robert Kolasa, age 56, of St. Michael died unexpectedly Monday, August 15, 2011 at his home.
He was born April 2, 1955, in Buffalo, Minnesota, the son of Stanley and Leona (Babler) Kolasa, Sr.
Robert has been farming since he was 18-years-old, mostly crops, and also owned and operated Bob's Sales & Service in Hanover for 15 years. After selling the service station he purchased a dairy farm in St. Michael where he operated the dairy from 1990-2002 until returning to crop farming. He also retired as a fireman from the Hanover Fire Department after 21 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Marne (Reinking) Kolasa; children, Robbie (Carrie) Kolasa, Steven (Angela) Kolasa and Amy (Brian) Theis; grandchildren, Savanah, Landan & Sierra Kolasa; brothers and sisters, Marlene (Bernard) Vetsch, Barb (Dave) Gilles, Vern Kolasa, Bernice Dalbec, James (Susan) Kolasa, Stanley (Nancy) Kolasa, Jr., John (Danice) Kolasa, Edward (Roberta) Kolasa Margaret (Rick) Kottke, Thomas (Dianna) Kolasa, Mary (Tim) Brown and Claire (Bob) Lensegrav. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Leona (Babler) Kolasa, Sr.; step-mother, Patricia (Damiani) Kolasa, brother, Anthony Kolasa and his sister-in-law, Peggy Kolasa.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Peterson Chapel, 300 Main Street North in St. Michael. Pastor Jodi Barry will conduct the service.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel with further visitation Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in Hanover City Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael assisted the family with arrangements.
Dean Coyle, 49
Dean Patrick Coyle, 49, of Watertown, Minn. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home in Watertown.
He was born May 14, 1963 to Hugh and Amy (Schulenberg) Coyle in Hopkins, Minn. Dean was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and member of the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Council #1556. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #120. Dean was an avid outdoorsman enjoying time spent hunting and fishing.
Dean was preceded in death by: his parents, Hugh and Amy Coyle; a niece, Michelle Coyle; and his father-in-law, Gene Fortwengler.
He is survived by: his wife, Pam; children, Jackie and Cody; siblings, Steve (Cheryl) Coyle, Debra (Ted) Hanson, Carmen Coyle and John Grove, and Todd (Lynn) Coyle; mother-in-law, Carol Fortwengler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward (Monica) Fortwengler, Lisa (Gordon) Wagner and Todd (Tina) Fortwengler; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 29, 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, Minn. Gathering of family and friends will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in the church prior to Mass. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Diane Kjellberg, 69
Diane Faye Kjellberg, 69, of rural Buffalo passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the J. A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1942 in Benson, Minn., the daughter of O.H. and Thelma Thompson Holtan. Diane graduated from Benson High School.
On Dec. 18, 1965, Diane F. Holtan and Kurt J. Kjellberg were joined in marriage in Brookings, S.D. They were blessed with three children, Donis, Bret and Kara.
Survived by: her loving children, Donis F. (Gene) Dzialo of Hugo, Bret J. (Britt) Kjellberg and Kara F. (Michael) Stonecipher, both of Buffalo; grandchildren, Garrett Dzialo, Clayton and Tatum Kjellberg, and Jack, Patrick and Ellie Stonecipher; a brother, James (Fran) Holtan of Montevideo; a sister, Lorraine Carpenter of Carlton, Minn.; a brother, Ronald (Kathy) Holtan of Benson; a sister-in-law, Mary Holtan of Crockett, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Kent Kjellberg and Keith Kjellberg, both of Monticello, and Kevin Kjellberg of Menahga; a sister-in-law, Kacey Kjellberg of Monticello; and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Kurt J. Kjellberg on July 16, 2011; parents, O.H. and Thelma Holtan; a brother, Robert Holtan; a sister, Jean Arne; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Arne and Donald Carpenter.
A time of gathering will be held on Sunday, July 1 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4-8 p.m.

Lila Lanars, 75
Lila Marie Lanars, 75, of Loretto, Minn. passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
She was born March 16, 1937 to Benjamin and Dora (Zahler) Persian in Wayzata, Minn.
Lila was united in marriage on June 1, 1957 to Ivan Charles Lanars. Her joy in life was her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was a priority. She was a regular attendee of the grandchildren’s sporting events.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Jerry, a granddaughter, Amanda Kasheimer, and her brother, Don Persian. She is survived by: her husband, Ivan; children, Wally (Debbie), Bruce (Tammy), Karen (Rick) Jorges, Donna (David) Wiemann, Linda (Pat) Paine, Nancy (Howard) Kasheimer, and Merry Lanars (and special friend, Todd Skeide); 15 grandchildren, Zachary and Lucas Lanars, Alicia and Brittany Lanars, Jenny, Andy, Kyle and Joey Jorges, Dianna and Nicholas Wiemann, Daniel and Michael Paine, and Jessica, Travis and Kayla Kasheimer; sister, Betty Ann (Bill) Baer; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Persian.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 29, 10:30 a.m., at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minn. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minn., with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services in the church on Friday. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Robert Leslie Huikko
Mr. Robert L. Huikko, age 77, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2002 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake with Rev. Steven King officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake.
Robert Leslie Huikko was born August 22, 1925 in Annandale to Victor and Ida (Lathi) Huikko. On May 5, 1945 he married Frances L. Copeland in Waverly and she preceded him in death April 22, 2000. He served his Country during WW II in the US Army. He worked as a pipe fitter for Hopkins Plumbing and Heating, Harris Brothers, and Muller Plumbing and Heating, retiring in 1991. Robert has lived in Maple Lake since 1957 where he was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake American Legion Post # 131, and Union Local # 539, Minneapolis. He loved his family and bowling.
Robert is survived by 13 children and their spouses, Carol (Dennis) Houser of Maple Lake, Jim (Roberta) of Buffalo, Linda of Annandale, Richard (Linda) of Annandale, Barb (Dennis) Capko of Maple Lake, Patty (John) Daniels of Bellefourche, SD, Allen (Debbie) of Buffalo, John (Mary) of Buffalo, Charlie (Debbie) of Maple Lake, Susie (Chad) Trattles of Annandale, Judy (Dean) Baker of Buffalo, Bobbi of Annandale, Tammy (Troy) Latzig of Maple Lake; 32 grandchildren, Dawn, Becky, Ed, Missy, Matt, Molly, Heather, Ryan, Heidi, David, Denny Jr, Erik, Lori, Lynda, Katie, Jerry, John, Joe, Brigett, Brooke, Brittany, Tony, Shawn, Stephanie, Sara, Karen, LeAnn, Robbi, Dustin, Travis, Tabitha, and Brandon; 18 great grandchildren, Christopher, Curtis, Carolyn, Ashley, Casandra, Brandi, Samantha, Aaron, Jordayn, Darick, Shelby, Reed, Ellyanna, Emma, Heidi, Layna, Anthony, and Breanna. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and grandson, Scotty.
Pallbearers will be Ed Houser, David Bartel, Mathew, Joe, John, Shawn, Tony, and Robbi Huikko, Ryan Schwartz, Denny Capko Jr, Eric Capko, and Gordy Gutzwiller. Music for the funeral will be provided by Becky King and Wendy Clark.

Ann Lenox
Ann Lenox, age 95, of Litchfield died Saturday, December 28, 2002 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Home, Litchfield.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2003 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball with Pastor Jerry Albert officiating. Burial will follow in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Ann Lenox was born June 13, 1907 at Haarlem, Holland to Wynand and Corneila (VanZanten) Bakker. She married George E. Lenox October 2, 1937 in Minneapolis and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1972. She was employed by Munsingwear in Minneapolis for 13 years and also was a homemaker. She lived most of her life near Kimball, from 1977-1997 at the Lincoln Apartments in Litchfield, and the past 4 years at Emmanuel Lutheran Home. She loved singing, dancing, gardening, and baking.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, & their spouses, Donna & Clare Grendler of Circle Pines, Donald & Melanie Allen of Chicago, IL, Margaret Elshaug of Ham Lake, and Richard Allen of Plymouth. Her husband; brother, Henry; and sister, Gertrude Gable preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be Shane Hess, Richard Allen, Ron Strand, Jerry Rice, Edward and George Meline. Music for the service, ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ will be provided by Jane Rannow.

Minnie Lora Cheney
Minnie L. Cheney, age 88, of Annandale died December 25, 2002 at the Annandale Care Center where she has been a resident the past 8 months.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Garman officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale Library Fund.
Minnie L. Cheney was born August 4, 1914 at Tagus, ND to Gilbert and Marilla (Heaton) Glaim. She married Lester V. Cheney July 30, 1934 in Buffalo and she lived most of her life in Annandale. She was a homemaker providing comfort and care to her family and extended family members. Min was a loving grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to all the kids that came to her door. She was a very creative person who enjoyed many hobbies and activities in her lifetime. She was a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Annandale Improvement Club, Book Review Club, and Lake Country Art’s Group.
She is survived by her three children & their spouses, Diane & Robert Shoberg, Sandra & Jim Otto, Dean & Laura Cheney, all of Annandale; 6 grandchildren, Leah Funk & her husband, John, Evan Shoberg & his wife, Rhonda, Aaron Otto & his wife, Stacey, Jessica Magrum & her husband, James, Meggan and Logan Cheney; 6 great grandchildren, Aiden & Zoe Min Shoberg, Jaden Otto, Aaron Lueck, Connor and Jack Adam Magrum; sisters, brothers, & their spouses, Pearl McAlpine of Annandale, Wilbert & Muriel Glaim of Annandale, Eleanor Fair of Edina, George & Mary Jayne Glaim of Hermosa Beach, CA, Roger & Muriel Glaim of Aitkin; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester on August 18, 1993; great grandson, Adam Otto; brothers, Eugene and Henry Glaim; and sisters, Jane Levitt and Stella Newby.
