Frances Nelson
Funeral services for Frances B., Nelson, 90, Coon Rapids, took place July 19 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Nelson died July 14, 2004 at her home. She was born March 6, 1914 in Mahnomen to Frank Saice and Sophia Beaulieu.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Mat's) Mattson, Sue (Frank) Surofka; son, Roger (Rose) Nelson; grandchildren, Roger (Louann) Mattson, Terry (Maggie) Mattson, Warren (Chris) Nelson, Wayne (Lori) Nelson, Tammy (Ken) Bledle and Anne (David) Wicklund; great-grandchildren, Roger, Eric, Danny, Lizzie, Tommy, Christopher, Johnna, Suzie and David Jr.; and sister, Phyllis Wodrich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Gail Quittum
Funeral services for Gail D. Quittum, 66, Blaine, took place July 16 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, East Bethel. Rev. Brian Fragodt officiated.
Quittum died July 13, 2004 in Minneapolis. She was born June 27, 1938 in Minneapolis to Floyd Hubley and Leona Dahlman.
She is survived by her husband Jim; children, Jeff and Dicie; daughter-in-law, Jo; son-in-law, Jeff; grandchildren, Mitchell, Tyler, Jennifer, Nicholas, Jeffrey Jr. and James; and siblings, Gary, Roger and Kathy and their spouses Judy, Sigrid, Steve and their children.
Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Jeff Anderson
Funeral services for Jeff Anderson, 31, Coon Rapids, took place July 20 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Dennis Zehren officiated.
Anderson died July 15, 2004. He was born Nov. 3, 1972 in Coon Rapids.
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha; mother, Dianne; father, Gary; brothers and sisters; and grandma Wayne.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Keith Andrews
Funeral services for Keith F. Andrews, 39, Zimmerman, took place July 29 at River of Life Church, Elk River.
Andrews died July 25, 2004 while dirt biking.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; son, Trevor; daughter, Erika; sister, Kelly (Bob); and parents, Bill and Marie Andrews.
Arrangements were by Dare's Funeral Home, Elk River.
LoRayne Askland
Funeral services for LoRayne Bertha Askland, 85, Coon Rapids, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, July 31) at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Tom Schintz will officiate.
Askland died July 24, 2004 at Maranatha Care Center, Brooklyn Center. She was born Aug. 29, 1918 in Battle Lake and was a registered nurse at the former Anoka State Hospital for 20-plus years.
She is survived by her son, Bradford (Deborah) of Eden Prairie; daughter, Connie (Jack) O'Neil of Blaine; daughter-in-law, Carol Askland of Washington; grandchildren, Barbara Reno, Conrad Askland, Richard (Linda) Askland, Michelle (Tom) Schultz, Jenette (Ron) Clay, Katharine (Jon) Caliri, Matthew (Erin) Weyland, Carmen (Jeff) Zurbuchen; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Askland, Ron Clay, Jack O'Neil, Tom Schultz, Jon Caliri and Matt Weyland.
Interment will be at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Gloria Aukland
Funeral services for Gloria J. Aukland, 64, Blaine, took place July 23 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Thomas Kunnel officiated.
Aukland died July 18, 2004 in Robbinsdale. She was born Jan. 14, 1940 in Hillman to Walter and Ann Metvick and was an inspector.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; children, Ken (Sandy) Skajewski, Dan Skajewski, Kelly (Peter) Grosz; grandchildren, Nick, Nate, Mitch, Jordan and Derek; and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ann Metvick; son, Richard Skajewski; and granddaughter, Brookly Narrows.
Pallbearers were Moe, Nate, Mitch and Jordan Skajewski, Derek Dovolos and Eric Matvick,
Interment was at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Brennyville. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Severin Brenny
Funeral services for Severin Grant Brenny, 21 months, Forest Lake, took place July 24 at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake.
He died July 17, 2004 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Mich.
He is survived by his parents, Chadwick and Amy (Grunwald); sister, Lauren; twin brother, Carson; grandparents, Harvey and Florence Grunwald of Forest Lake and Severin and Carol Brenny of Andover; aunts and uncles, Tina Brenny of Maple Grove, Wendy Grunwald of Fridley, Bruce and Susan Bain (Pepin) of Hugo; and many cousins.

Linda Cooper
Funeral services for Linda L. Cooper, 57, Coon Rapids, took place July 28 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka.
Andrews died July 25, 2004 following a two-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; children, Shawn Striebel, Michael Parno, Amber Johnson, Andrea (Kevin) Wells; grandchildren, Tessy, Devin, Trevor, Riley; parents, Blair and Dorothy McNulty; sister, Viki (Sandre) Munoz; nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Interment was at St. James Cemetery, Maine. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.
Raymond DeChaine
Graveside services for Raymond A. DeChaine, 73, Monticello, took place July 21 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
DeChaine died July 16, 2004 in Elk River. He was born March 5, 1931 in New London, Conn., and was a carpenter.
He is survived by seven children; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Bernie Graham
Memorial services for Bernie Graham, 74, formerly of Champlin, will take place Sunday, Aug. 1, 2 to 3 p.m., at First Congregational Church, Anoka.
Graham died May 23, 2004 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She is survived by her children, Kurt Graham of Minneapolis, Kitri Graham Mattson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Reah Graham Dahl-Stamnes of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.
Aidan Hanna
Funeral services for Aidan C. Hanna, 5, Princeton, took place July 23 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Revs. James Donald and Kiri Johnson officiated.
Hanna died July 14, 2004 in Robbinsdale. He was born March 10, 1999 in Fridley to Jonathan C. Hanna and Deanna L. FitzSimonds.
He is survived by his parents, Jonathan and Deanna; brother, Anson; grandparents, Merle Duane Hanna, Bill and Judy FitzSimonds; great-grandmother, Iona Beryen; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother; Kathy Hanna.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Norman Holm
Funeral services for Norman Delano Holm, 63, Andover, took place July 19 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka.
Holm died July 15, 2004. He was born in 1941 in Minneapolis. In 1955 the family moved to Anoka where his father started H & S Asphalt Co., of which he later took over ownership.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Linda, Brett and Jill; sons, Christopher, Caleb and Chandler; daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Jeff and Crystal and Matt; daughters, Becky and Cassandra; one brother; six sisters; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gus; and mother, Rita.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
