Richard Martin
Funeral services for Richard Louis Martin, 63, Anoka, took place May 17 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Martin died May 12, 2004 at his home in Anoka. He was born Aug. 26, 1940 in Santa Monica, Calif., to Henry Daniel and Frances Lorene (Eliot) Martin. He was a traffic technician for the Anoka County Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Ross and wife Ann; grandchildren, Kahla, Steven, Daniel and Jennifer; great-granddaughter, Chloe; mother, Frances; and brother, Robert and wife Wanda.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lorne; and father, Henry.
Pallbearers were Roger Butler, Michael Gabrick, Marlon Gonser, Arvid Gutzwiller, William Howard and Robert Trombley.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Mary Miller
Funeral services for Mary Louise Miller, 87, North Branch, formerly of Anoka, took place May 19 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Oak Grove. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Miller died May 15, 2004 at Green Acres Country Care Center, North Branch. She was born Sept. 9, 1916 at Colome, S.D., to James and Anna Bradt.
She is survived by her sons, Michael of Pueblo, Colo., Monte and his wife Sharyn of Phoenix, Ariz., Merle and his wife Judy of Oak Grove, Max of Napa, Calif., Martin and his wife Marge of Pekin, Ill., Mark and his wife Julie of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Melvin of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Mildred Webb of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Monte Jr., Michelle (Mark), Theresa, Brian, Kara (Alan), Angela (Kevin), Allison (Jeff), Stacey, Caleb, Rachael, Christopher, James, Emily, Benjamin (Patty), Andrew, Zachary and Hayley; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Anna, Mackenzie, Peter, Jay, Andrew John, Scott, Nicholas and Andrew Jacob; and by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Meryn E. Miller; and her twin sister, Martha Eckerman.
Pallbearers were her sons, Michael, Monte, Merle, Max, Martin, Mark and Melvin.
Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery in Sioux Falls, S.D. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
John Riley
Funeral services for John Patrick Riley, 54, Faribault, took place May 12 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Bill DeZiel officiated.
Riley died May 8, 2004 in Faribault. He was born Feb. 25, 1950 in Anoka to Bill and Dee Riley and was a carpenter.
He is survived by his children, Jacob and Justine; siblings, Kevyn, Karen, Mary, Melinda, Bill, Michele and Shannon and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dee Riley.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Esther Smith
Memorial services for Esther Geneva Smith, 87, Blaine, took place May 19 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Arthur Solberg officiated.
Smith died May 14, 2004 at Epiphany Assisted Care, Coon Rapids. She was born July 23, 1916 in Athens Township to Christine and State Sen. Albert Lodin. She was employed at the Arsenal and was retired from Honeywell.
She is survived by her son, Kirk (Jeanie) Smith of Ham Lake; son-in-law, Richard Fealy of Braham; brother, Ray Lodin of Isanti; sister, Gladys Swanson of Ogema, Wis.; grandchildren, Kris (Mike) Stefanyshan of California, Roger Fealy of Braham, Kim Fealy of Minneapolis, Peter (Lisa) Smith of Ham Lake, Joseph (Madalina) Smith of Maryland; great-grandchildren, Mike and Nick Stefanyshan and Domi and Nick Smith; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Fealy; brothers, Fritz and George Lodin; sister, Edna Swanson; and former husband, Archie Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were Kim and Roger Fealy, Joseph and Peter Smith and Kris Stefanyshan.
Interment was at Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Homes, Isanti and Cambridge chapels.
Sarah Thompson
Funeral services for Sarah Eileen Thompson, 27, Andover, took place May 20 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Sean Kelly officiated.
Thompson died May 16, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1976 in Dayton, Ohio, to Edward and Deborah Lynn (Estepp) Ragsdale. She was an auditor at Target Corp.
She is survived by her husband, Shawn; children, Stephanie, Shawn Jr. and Savannah; parents, Earl and Deborah Carper; father, Edward Ragsdale; parents-in-law, Dwayne and Gloria Thompson; sisters, Sally Brown, Virginia and Anne Carper; brother, Jordan Carper; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vivian and Nolan Estepp.
Pallbearers were Brian and Robbie Thompson and Jordan Carper.
Interment was at Otsego Cemetery, Otsego. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Ann Wick
Funeral services for Ann Helen Wick, 91, Coon Rapids, took place May 13 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Kerr officiated.
Wick died May 10, 2004 at North Ridge Care Center, New Hope. She was born June 14, 1912 in Moose Lake to Frank and Victoria (Berlik) Mathias.
She is survived by her daughters, Joann (Jim) Durand of New Mexico, Judy (Frank) Intihar of Coon Rapids; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hartvik; parents, Frank and Victoria Mathias; five brothers; and two sisters.
Interment was at McKinley Cemetery, McKinley, Wis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Frances Attleson

Attleson died May 21, 2004 at Anoka Care Center. She was born July 31, 1918 in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her daughters, Florence, Maxine and Dagney; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two grandchildren; and two brothers.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Adele Glowacki
Funeral services for Adele Grace Glowacki, 66, took place May 27 at Church of St. Timothy, Blaine. Rev. Harry Tasto officiated.
Glowacki died May 24, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1937 in Duluth.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Derek, Darrell (Connie); daughter, Ronae Bakke (Rich), Rochelle Carlson (Dennis); 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lavon Martineau; and brother, Joe LaRue.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elfrieda; stepfather, Emil LaRue; and father, Charles Myers.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.
Roy Hagen
Memorial services for Roy H. Hagen, 83, Ham Lake, took place May 26 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Dennis Perryman officiated.
Hagen died May 20, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 31, 1920 in Erskine ad was retired from Honeywell.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Kent (Lynne) of Ham Lake and Kevin (Chris) of Ham Lake; daughter, Karen Britton of Andover; grandchildren, JR, Eric, Kathryn, Luke, Rayne, Breanne, Leah; and sister, Helen of Park Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one brother-in-law.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.
Dorothy Helget
Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Helget, 74, Anoka, took place May 27 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Mark Miller officiated.
Helget died May 23, 2004 in Anoka. She was born Feb. 4, 1930 in LeSueur to Frank and Kathryn Bratsch.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Holmberg; sons, Gary, Steve and Jeff; grandchildren, Alisa, Christna, Shane, Chad, Jim, Jenny, Paul, Angela, Julie, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Abby, Hanna, Alison, Jack, Olivia, Gage, Mitchell; sisters, Joyce, Lila, Lois, Donna; brothers, Bob, Dick and Ken; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin.
Pallbearers were Tim Jaciej, Randy Tokkesdal and Shane, Chad, Paul and Jim Helget. Honorary pallbearer was Alex Maciej.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Coon Rapids.
