Alex Kinn Sr.
Funeral services for Alex Nicholas Kinn Sr., 81, Oak Grove, took place March 5 at Living Word Christian Center. Rev. Nick Kinn officiated.
Kinn died March 2, 2004. He was born Nov. 28, 1922 in Minneapolis to William and Julia (Ignatovitz) Kinn, and was in the bricklaying trade for for than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Ellen (Steve) Tetzloff, Nick (Jane) Kinn, Patti (Glenn) Kuhr, Susan (Mike) Stone, Julie (Brian) Fulwiler; grandchildren, Matt, Adam, Kelley, Aaron, Cody, Jake, Andy, Jenny, Nickatie, Nathan, Pete, Mike, Sonja and Annie; and great-grandchildren, Andy, Cheyenne, Sammy, Caleb, Cloe, Emma, Lexi, Beckett, Brittany and Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia Kinn (Kapustinsky); eight siblings; and granddaughter, Devin Fulwiler.
Pallbearers were Jacob, Cody, Andy and Jenny Stone, Mike and Pete Japs, Nathan Kinn, Aaron Kuhr, Matt and Adam Tetzloff, Nickatie Bednarz and Sonja Kirkbride.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Orville Kirkeide
Funeral services for Orville C. Kirkeide, 72, Coon Rapids, took place March 9 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.
Kirkeide died March 4, 2004. He was born May 2, 1931 in McKinock, N.D., and was a construction coordinator for International Dairy Queen.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; children, Jeanne (Steve) Sorsen, Jon (Joyce), Joe (Yvonne), James (Shari); grandchildren, Kyle, Korey, Jaimie, Jordan, Cody, Connor, Tyler, Tanner, Alex and Jenna; brothers, Clifton, Merton and Richard Kirkeide; and sisters, Muriel Geroy, Helen Anderson, Marlene Kropelnicki, Ardith Dvergsten and Gladys Lilja.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Hilma 'Cookie' Hyndman.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Steven Malloy
Memorial services for Steven Bradley Malloy, 47, took place March 4 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Paul Reynolds officiated.
Malloy died Feb. 29, 2004 in Linwood Township. He was born Aug. 13, 1956 in Mobridge, S.D., to Dallas and Vergene Malloy. He was an Anoka High School graduate, worked as a home sider and plumber and then as a self-employed handyman.
He is survived by his mother, Vergene Mueller of Edgewater, Colo.; brothers and sisters, C.J. O'Mally of Edgewater, Colo., Dennis (Lynn) Malloy of Isanti, Kim (Jon) Hoffman of St. Paul; half-sister, Dawnelle Anderson of Stewartville; step-grandmother, Buddie Malloy of Timberlake, S.D.; and many other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Beau and Mitchell Gaikowski, Ben Hoffman, Marc and Mike Malloy and Jason Mitchell.
Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Doris Mead
Funeral services for Doris Lucille Mead, 82, Anoka, took place March 11 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Brenda L. Kramer King officiated.
Mead died March 7, 2004 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. She was born March 3, 1922 in Anoka to Charles Edward and Lillian Pearl (Pierson) Mead and was retired track index recorder at the Anoka County Courthouse.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (David) Anderson of Lino Lakes and Janice Katnis of Anoka; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chet; and sister, Joyce Solarz.
Pallbearers were David and Timothy Anderson, John Katnis, Matt Helminski, Charles Palmer and Ernie Ordieno.
Interment was at Champlin Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Sherman Mielke
Funeral services for Sherman R. Mielke, 60, Ham Lake, took place March 6 at Church of St. Paul. Rev. Timothy Nolan officiated.
Mielke died March 1, 2004 in Ely. He was born May 29, 1942 in Springfield to Vincent and Catherine Mielke and was a registered nurse.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Joel (Lisa), Paul, Brian; grandchildren, Aaron, Amber, Donovan and Cassandra; sister, Janet (Larry) Dammann; and brother, Gene (Marlene) Mielke.
Pallbearers were Joel, Paul and Brian Mielke, Mike Guerre, Dennis Davidson and Neil Sibley.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel - Coon Rapids.
Vernon Noon
Funeral services for Vernon Darrell Noon, 81, Lake Shore, formerly of Anoka, took place March 4 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Lilja Behr officiated.
Noon died March 1, 2004 at Bethany Good Samaritan Center, Brainerd. He was born Oct. 20, 1922 in Fargo, N.D., to Leo and Josephine Olivia (Rustand) Noon, and was owner and operator of Noon Realty, Noon Construction and Land Development Company, and Noon's RV Center.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Sandra Jeremiah and husband Al of Honolulu, Hawaii; sons, Darrell and wife Annette of Rogers, Randy and wife Kathy of Anoka; grandchildren, Damon Rapozo of Eugene, Ore., Jeffrey Rapozo of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kristen, Travis and Jessica Noon of Ramsey, Lacey Noon of Rogers; four great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Engels and husband Duane of Champlin; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sherrell 'Buddy' Noon; and sister, Lolela 'Lollie' Richards.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Rapozo, Steven and Travis Noon, David Brinker, and Todd and Troy Engels. Honorary pallbearer was Damon Rapozo.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Scott Riesberg
Private family services took place for Scott S. Riesberg, 47, Braham.
Riesberg died Feb. 29, 2004. He was born March 8, 1956 in Minneapolis.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Shirley; special friend, Carol; brothers and sisters, Jeff (Mel), Michael (Janet), Vicki Jungbauer (Mike), Dan, Troy, Maria Riesberg and friend Randy; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Nicole, Kimberly, Josh, Aubrey, Ariel, Caleb and Sammy; grandmother, Billy Riesberg; and many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and aunt, Patsy.

William Skarolid
Visitation for William Skarolid, 61, Andover, took place March 3 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Skarolid died Feb. 29, 2004 at North Memorial Hospital. He was born March 9, 1942 in Brainerd and was a millwright.
He is survived by his sons, Joe (Theresa) and Bob; grandchildren, James, Joey, Justin and Sabrina; brother, James; nephew, Troy; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Myrtle.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Esther Smith
Funeral services for Esther L. Smith, 88, Coon Rapids, took place Feb. 26 in Alfred, N.D. Rev. Harris Kinzler officiated.
Smith died Feb. 21, 2004 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She was born Nov. 29, 1915 in Alfred, N.D., to Jacob P. and Lydia (Pfiefle) Hermann. She was a volunteer at Bar None in St. Francis as a foster grandparent for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Bob) Smith, Adella (LeRoy) Zeller, Janice (LeRoy) Daml, Connie (Wesley) Schlecht and Patricia Smith; sons, Jerry Smith, Daniel (Pam) Smith; and sister, Voneda Stiewe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughters, Carol and Georgia; son, Steven; and sister, Mabel Beck.
Pallbearers were Lee Zeller, Tyler and Shawn Smith, Calvin Netz, Mitch Hurt and Derek Hagen.
Interment was in Alfred, N.D.
Rainbow Trosper
Funeral services for Rainbow Bryanna Lynne Trosper, eight months, Spring Lake Park, took place March 5 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Curtis J. Davis officiated.
She died March 2, 2004 at Children's Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born July 2, 2003 in Fridley to Art Trosper and Judith Banks.
She is survived by her parents, Art Trosper and Judith (Brown) Banks; brother, Larkin Trosper; sister, Annie Banks; and grandmother, Inez Trosper.
Interment was at Hills of Rest Memorial Park, Sioux Falls, S.D. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
