Robert Black
Funeral services for Robert James Black, 71, Coon Rapids, took place March 1 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Black died Feb. 27, 2004 at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1932 in Brainerd and was employed in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Vea; children, Cindy (Ken) Ryden, Bob (Susan), Sue (Rick) Warren, Ken, Mike (Cheryl); grandchildren, Katie, Jessica, David, Tom, Matt, Andy, Dan, Michael, Emily and Sam; sisters, Donna, Marilyn and Roberta; and brother, Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Bernice Black; and siblings, Betty, Rosemary and Tom.
Pallbearers were David and Andrew Black, Mary and Dan Ryden, Tom Warren, Kris Peterson and Ryan Braley.
Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Arleen Bocan
Funeral services for Arleen M. Bocan, 79, Circle Pines, took place March 3 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Dwight Cook officiated.
Bocan died Feb. 27, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born May 6, 1924 in Minneapolis and was retired from a railroad administrative job.
She is survived by her husband, George Jr.; daughter, Lynne Rupprecht (John); son, Dale (Diane); grandsons, Matt, Brian and Eric; brothers, Mitchell Robertson; niece, Gale; and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Stella Robertson; and brothers, John and William.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Wayne Clark
Funeral services for Wayne E. Clark, 79, Coon Rapids, took place Feb. 28 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids, Rev. Tim Johnson officiated.
Clark died Feb. 24, 2004 in Coon Rapids. He was born April 23, 1924 in Elk River Township to Kendall and Susie Clark and was retired receiving clerk at Hoffman Engineering.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Cindy (Richard) Schatz; son, Dan; granddaughters, Paulette (Matt) Zimmerman, Arika (Aaron) Muellner; six great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kendall and Susie Clark; and brothers, Donald and Ralph.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.
James Domogalla
Private family memorial services for James J. Domogalla, 72, took place Feb. 26 at Carlson and Labatte Funeral Home, Cambridge.
Domogalla died Feb. 24, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Tuttle, N.D., Sept. 27, 1931. A Korean War veteran, he spent his adult life employed at the Cornelius Company in Anoka, from which he retired.
He is survived by his seven brothers and sisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo, and his dear friend, Clarine Madsen.
Arrangements were by Carlson and Labatte Funeral Home, Cambridge.
Robert Eastman
Funeral services for Robert C. Eastman, 74, Fridley, took place Feb. 28 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Grant Tanner officiated.
Eastman died Feb. 24, 2004 in Fridley. He was born Feb. 21, 1930 in Minneapolis and was retired from Honeywell.
He is survived by his wife, Margot; sons, Kim, Jeff, Shawn (Wendy), Eric (Suzy) and Patrick (Rachael); nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Rochelle Eastman (Greg Blakely); stepbrothers, Bud (cathy) Hemken and Jack (Addie) Hemken; and Bob 'Pete' Peterson (Carol) and their two children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence; father, Chester; stepmother, Marie; brother, Chester; stepsister, Ruth; and grandson, Jason.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Wanda Lilienthal
Funeral services for Wanda Marie Lilienthal, 50, Andover, took place Feb. 28 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Tom Carlson officiated.
Lilienthal died Feb. 25, 2004. She was an administrative banking assistant.
She is survived by her husband, John; and son, Adam.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Interment was at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home.
Albin Peterson
Funeral services for Albin Peterson, 90, Anoka, took place March 3 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.
Peterson died Feb. 26, 2004. He was born Feb. 22, 1914 in Anoka to Albert and Helen Peterson., He was a lifelong resident of Anoka, graduating from Anoka High School in 1932. In 1934 he went to work at the CCC Camp in Grand Marais and later worked at Federal Cartridge and Duffy Lumber.
He is survived by his caregiver, Carol Guyer; and cousin, Christine Gerrety.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Edwin; and sister, Esther.
Pallbearers were Troy and Blake Guyer, Tom and Mike Gerrety, Steve Theil and Derek Goga.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Alfred Prigge
Funeral services for Alfred J. Prigge, 97, Blaine, took place Feb. 26 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine. Rev. Duane Sulness officiated.
Prigge died Feb. 22, 2004 at Trevilla of New Brighton. He was born April 5, 1906 in Zumbrota to John and Louise (Friese) Prigge, and was a retired hair stylist.
He is survived by his adopted son, Donald; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Wing. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Gloria Rither
Funeral services for Gloria H. Rither (Uzelac), 65, Andover, took place Feb. 28 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, St. Paul. Revs. Slavoljub Pantic and Bogdan Zjalic officiated.
Rither died Feb. 24, 2004 in Andover. She was born Aug. 15, 1938 in St. Charles, Mo., to Mike Uzelac and Sophia Galovich. She taught English and art at Coon Rapids High School for 23 years and weaving and jewelry design at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. She also worked as a stitcher at the Guthrie Theater and Minnesota Opera, and was personal costumer to Lorie Line for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Skip); sister, June Nyberg (Jim); sister-in-law, Phyllis Rither; brother-in-law, Harold Goodman; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ruth Lindberg, Judy Nelson and members of the River Country Weavers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James; and sister, Rosemary Goodman.
Pallbearers were Michael and Ted Pavolich, George and Jamie Zakula, Aleksander Knezvich and Brandon Koury.
Interment was at St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel, Minneapolis.
Pennie Rossland
Funeral services for Pennie K. Rossland, 43, Coon Rapids, took place March 4 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Vern Opgaard officiated.
Rossland died Feb. 29, 2004 in Linwood Township. She was born Dec. 31, 1960 in Minneapolis to Thomas and Bonnie Rossland and was a furniture finisher.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Bonnie Rossland; sister, Sallie (Ken) Deluney; brother, Andrew (Lisa); and nephews, Eric Deluney and Jeremiah and Tim Rossland.
Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Pamela Trossen
Funeral services for Pamela Jo Trossen, 44, Anoka, took place Feb. 29 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Liane Rock officiated.
Trossen died Feb. 27, 2004. She was a 27-year employee of Honeywell.
She is survived by her mother, Mary; sisters, Cindy, Patty and Carol (Rich); and brother, Mike (Simone).
She was preceded in death by her father, John.
