Gerald Olson
Funeral services for Gerald Robert Olson, 78, Blaine, took place Dec. 12 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel. Rev. Bruce R. Nelson officiated.
Olson died Dec. 8, 2003 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. He was born in Long Siding to Emil and Olga Olson, and was a veteran and retired block layer.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Louise; children, Stephen (Diana), William (Linda), Terry (Jodi); and grandchildren, Jacob, Jennifer, Joshua, Joseph and Faith.
Pallbearers were Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, and Jennifer Olson, Gary Hogren and Gary Wicklund.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel.
Beatrice Peterson
Funeral services for Beatrice Ann Peterson, 76, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 12, 2003 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.
Peterson was a teacher and staff member at Epiphany School for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Kristin Satchell, Lisa Moschkau, Teresa Peterson, Thomas Peterson, Karla Perez, Kathleen Raph, John Peterson, Eric Peterson; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Richard and James Johnson; and sisters, Patricia Mulcahy and Estelle Dzandzara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; daughters, Amy and Mary; grandson, Dustin Raph; and sister, J. Marlow Barr.
Interment was at Epiphany cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Troy Setter
Funeral services for Troy N. Setter, 27, Cedar, took place De. 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Francis. Rev. Jack Baumgarn officiated.
Setter died Dec. 13, 2003 in a car accident in Oak Grove. He was born July 14, 1976 in Coon Rapids to Terry and Cindy Setter, and was a systems engineer at Loffler Business Systems.
He is survived by his parents, Terry and Cindy Setter; and sister, Tara Setter.
Pallbearers were Dave Ashby, Boyd Burke, Jeremiah and Ally Johnson, Dustin Hafner, Justin Stoltman, Ryan Platzke, and Chad Setter.
Interment was at West Oak Grove cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Margaret Audette
Funeral services for Margaret Ruth Audette, 84, New Brighton, took place Dec. 20 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Audette died Dec. 16, 2003 in New Brighton. She was born Jan. 20, 1919 in Minneapolis to Frederick and Irene Bourbeau.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Joanna K., Chuck, Jack and Bud and Janice; grandchildren, Tom (Sandy), Ken (Amy), Matt (Joy), Sarah, Katie, Mandy, Melissa, Andy, Tony and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Harrison, Grace and Benjamin.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Markus; and daughter-in-law, Joanne M. Audette.
Pallbearers were Tom, Ken, Matt, Andy, Tony and Nick Audette.
Interment was at St. Patrick's cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Jared Fiala
Funeral services for Jared Fiala, 23, Minneapolis, took place Dec. 21 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Fiala died Dec. 18, 2003. He was born Dec. 7, 1980 in Minneapolis and worked for a landscape company.
He is survived by his parents, Cindy and Jim Fiala; brother, Dane; grandparents, Vince and Marcy Fiala; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Pauline Gryniewski.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Dianne Gibson
Funeral services for Dianne L. Gibson, 57, Blaine, took place Dec. 19 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. William C. Larson officiated.
Gibson died Dec. 15, 2003. She was born May 21, 1946 and was postal service worker.
She is survived by her children, Roberta, Stephanie and John; sister, Nancy Evans; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Harriet (Larson) Swanson; and brother, David Swanson.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Norman Hovland
Funeral services for Norman J. Hovland, 73, Edina, took place Dec. 18 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. Harry Tasto officiated.
Hovland died Dec. 15, 2003 in Edina. He was born Jan. 24, 1930 in Randall to John and Clara Hovland and was retired construction carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; children, Julie (Ron), Diane (Curt) and Keith (Kelly); sisters, Mabel, Ella Mae, Mary Ann and Carol; brothers, Don, Andy, John and Richard; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara; and brother, Raymond.

Trudy Jenny
Funeral services for Trudy D. Jenny, 44, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 20 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.
Jenny died Dec. 17, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born Nov. 28, 1959 in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her parents, Otto and Marion; sister, Sandy Jadwin (Richard); nephews, David and Jon; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Richard, David and Sandy Jadwin, Wayne Godlewski and Bob Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were Roger and Rodney Bell, Kevin Godlewski, John Jadwin, Paul Thalin, Jack Hanson and Dick Smith.

Alexander Kroll
Funeral services for Alexander A. Kroll, 78, St. Cloud, took place Dec. 23 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Kroll died Dec. 19, 2003 at St. Benedict's Senior Community, St. Cloud. He was born Feb. 27, 1925 in Royalton to Paul Kroll and Mary Czech and was a retired mail carrier.
He is survived by his children, David (Marlene) Kroll, Elaine (Robert) Meyer, Margie (Bill) Pagel, Debbie (Shawn) Duffy and Nancy (Lenny) Hansen; 11 grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters; and four brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gustie 'Toby;' parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers were Jeff, Anthony and Greg Kroll, Daniel and Alan Meyer and Derrick Duffy.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Connie Lynch
Memorial services for Connie M. Lynch, 78, Minneapolis, will take place this evening (Friday, Dec. 26) at 6:30 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Lynch died Dec. 20, 2003 at Lynwood Nursing Home, Fridley. She was born Dec. 20, 1925 in Adia and was a retired apartment manager.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Kessler and Bruce Lynch; grandchildren, Kristy and Nicole; sister, Grace (Robert Peterson); and brother, Earl Sivesind (Beverly).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lynch; parents, Olaf and Hazel; and nephew, Donny.

Daniel Mattson
Funeral services for Daniel J. Mattson, 30, Oak Grove, took place Dec. 16 at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Anoka. Bishop Mark Howard officiated.
Mattson died Dec. 11, 2003 at Mayo Hospital, Rochester. He was born May 8, 1978 to James and Lynda Mattson and was a painter.
He is survived by his brothers, Matthew (Jamie), David, Gabriel (Jackie), Nathaniel; sister, Sarah; fiancee, Melissa Peterson and her son Andrew; three nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
