Private funeral services for Henry De Boer, 90, Ramsey, took place July 17.
De Boer died July 14, 2002. He was born in Springfield, S.D., to Henry and Lucrietta De Boer. He was retired from the Eaton Company.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Charlene (Rimon) Issa, Carole Johnson, Larry (Joan) De Boer, James De Boer, Duane (Phyllis) De Boer; daughter-in-law, Rosanna De Boer; 10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Interment was at Orono cemetery, Elk River. Arrangements were by Dare's Funeral Home, Elk River.
Susan Fowlkes
Memorial services for Susan Marie Fowlkes, 51, Coon Rapids, took place July 10 at Meadow Creek Church. Rev. Jim Thomason officiated.
Fowlkes died July 6, 2002 at Unity Hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1951 in Minneapolis and was a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Steven and Mark; parents, Rev. and Mrs. Lowell Stoesz; sisters. Sharon Dagsgard (Gary), Sheila Stufflebeam (Kirk), Sandra Jamieson (Richard); mother-in-law, Bonnie Fowlkes; and nieces and nephews.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Amos Halverson
Funeral services for Amos Ray Halverson, 83, Blaine, took place July 11 at Way of the Cross Church, Blaine. Revs. C. Donald Pfotenhauer and Dave Reid officiated.
Halverson died July 8, 2002 at Unity Hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1918 in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughters, Lesley Wennen, Eileen Kampa and families, Audrey and Marjean Halverson; brother, Clifford Halverson; sisters, Thelma Sather, Irene Kielblock, Edna Mae Olson, Valerie Westby and families; and sisters-in-law, Mary Halverson, Virginia Stanwick and families.
Interment was private at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
James Holte
Funeral services for James Holte, 65, Anoka, took place June 26 at Anoka United Methodist Church. Rev. Brenda Kramer King officiated.
Holte died June 23, 2002 in Anoka. He was born July 17, 1936 in Lake Park. He was a 40-year employee of Honeywell and secretary-treasurer of the Teamsters.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Cherri (Mark) Ziarnik, Brenda (Daniel) Ward; son, Arlin Holte; grandson, Travis James Ward; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Milladean Krefft
Funeral services for Milladean 'Deanie' Krefft, 75, Coon Rapids, took place July 1 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Holl officiated.
Krefft died June 27, 2002 in Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 23, 1927.
She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (Gordon) Granse, Yvette Kelly and Theresa (Edward) Mutchler; son, Keith Krefft Jr.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Carol Krefft.
She was preceded in death by husband, Keith Krefft Sr.; son, Roy Krefft; and granddaughter, Jessica Kelly.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Aleda Maas
Funeral services for Aleda G. Maas, 91, Anoka, will take place at a later date.
Maas died July 12, 2002 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born Oct. 18, 1910 in Brinsmade, N.D., to Odd Straabe and Therine Davids. She owned a Red Owl store and was a buyer for J.C. Penney.
She is survived by her children, Sheila (Dr. Richard) Leydig of Pennsylvania and Shirley (Dr. Chester) Borrud of Anoka; grandchildren, Richard (Jarilyn) Leydig, Thomas (Cheryl) Leydig, Leanne Leydig McCarthy, Pamela Leydig (Dean) Billick, Dr. Lori Borrud (Neil Gamson), Dr. Aleta Borrud (Dr. James Findlay), Rebecca Borrud (Denis Houle); extended family member, Marlene (Kevin) Knudson; great-grandchildren, Richard, Scott, Laura, Michelle and Cara Joy Leydig, Nathan Gamson, Hannah Mhairi and J. Alexander Findlay, and Anton B. Houle.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene A. Shiek and John Maas.
Interment will be at Lakewood cemetery. Arrangements are by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel.
Mason Manthei
Funeral services for Mason Scott Manthei, 3 months, Blaine, took place July 9 at Grace Evangelical Free Church, Fridley. Rev. Brent Waiwaiole officiated.
He died July 5, 2002 at his home. He was born April 3, 2002 in Fridley to Julie Perish and Anthony Manthei.
He is survived by his mother, Julie Perish; father, Anthony Manthei; grandparents, Mini and Donald Perish, Karen and Greig Manthei; and uncles, Dustin Perish and Adam Manthei.
Pallbearers were Ben Martin, Dustin Perish, and Peder II and Peder III Baukol.

Patrick Olson
Funeral services for Patrick S. Olson, 53, Blaine, took place July 15 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine. Rev. Margaret Guelker officiated.
Olson died July 9, 2002. He was born April 26, 1949 in Shell Lake, Wis. He was a veteran and employed in building maintenance by the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Sara Hedlund (Jeremy), Matt Olson; grandchild, Madelyn; mother, Melva Market; brothers, Michael Huseth (Gayle), Scott Olson (Amy); and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred Olson.

Helen Scott
Funeral services for Helen Lorene Scott, 75, Coon Rapids, took place July 12 at Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church.
Scott died July 8, 2002 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She was born Aug. 3, 1926 in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Philstrom, Joanne (Stephen) Lautt; sons, Jack Scott Jr., Timothy (Renee) Scott; three grandsons; sisters, Elsie Derus and Carol (Thomas) Benedict; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles Dellago, Vernon Johnson, Jean Osbeck and Betty Foster; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul, and Sonny; and sisters, Doris, Joan, Marian and Violet.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Olive Vansickle
Funeral services for Olive Vansickle, 82, Coon Rapids, took place July 11 at Coon Rapids United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Miller officiated.
Vansickle died July 8, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1919 in Raymond, S.D., and was retired from Federal Cartridge.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, James McDonald (Kerry), Sandra Borders, Fred McDonald (Bonniel; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Delores Bjorke (Steven), Doug Vansickle, William Vansickle (Pam), seven step-grandchildren, sister, Opal Potter; and brother, Lawrence Dunlavy.
Interment was private at Joyce Chapel cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Craig Bower
Funeral services for Craig A. Bower, 47, Blaine, took place July 20 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rev. Charlie Brown officiated.
Bower died July 17, 2002. He was born May 3, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Gene and Katherine Bower and was employed at John Roberts Company.
He is survived by his wife, Renee; children and stepdaughter, Sarah Kehoe, Luke, Robert, Chad and Karl; grandchildren, Cassandra, Nathaniel and Jennika; parents, Gene and Katherine; brothers, Darrell and Michael (Jeanee); and other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Craig Larson, Tomy Camp, Jon Ehlert, Glen Biel, James Madigan and Tony Chapman.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Lloyd E. Carlson
Funeral services for Lloyd E. Carlson, 60, Coon Rapids, took place July 15 at Peace Lutheran Church. Rev. Ken De For officiated.
Carlson died in Kenora, Canada on Wednesday, July 10, 2002. He was born in Donnelly on February 7, 1942 to Carl and Irene Carlson and was employed in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Patricia (Leo) Weitgenant, Dale (Kristi) and James; grandchildren, Dillyn, Amanda, Aradia, Bradley, Lee; brothers and sisters, John (Lois), Marve (Nancy), Louise (Ralph) Hartsuiker, Donald Carlson, Jerry Gulbrandson and Marie (Ron) Hagen.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Gulbrandson; sister, Evelyn Carlson; and parents, Carl Carlson and Irene Gulbrandson.
Interment was at Vinger cemetery, Donnelly. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel.
