John A. Larson
A memorial service for John A. Larson, 63, of Maple Grove took place Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.
Reverend Tim Tengblad officiated.
Mr. Larson died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Herbster, Wis. He was born June 1, 1941, in Ashland, Wis. the son of William and Violet (Christiansen) Larson.
He attended South Shore High School, and later served in the U.S. Navy. He married Jackie DeGiacinto on July 5, 1969, in Port Wing, Wis.
Mr. Larson was employed as a mechanical and structural draftsman in Minneapolis until his retirement in 2002. He is a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie of Maple Grove; daughters, Kelly Larson of Maple Grove and Kari (Bryan) Fritsch of Chanhassen; sister, Marge (Paul) Truchon of Herbster, Wis.; brothers, Vic (Juanita) Larson of Port Wing, Wis. and Fred (Ruth Morgan) Larson of Iron River, Wis.; many nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Annie.
Mr. Larson was preceded in death by his parents, William and Violet.
Steven R. Scofield
Services for Steven R. Scofield, 54, of Maple Grove were Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Erin (Mike Taylor), Andy and Kelly; mother, Jeanne Scofield; siblings, Carol Orton, Mike, Jan Lange and Alan.
Mr. Scofield is preceded in death by his father, Vernon; sister, Vicki and brother, Marvin.
Memorials are preferred.
Kenneth Schober
Services for Kenneth A. Schober, 70, of Corcoran were Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Corcoran.
Burial was at St. Walburga Catholic Cemetery in Fletcher.
Mr. Schober died Wednesday, Sept. 29, in Robbinsdale. He was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Corcoran.
He is preceded in death by son, David. K. and parents, Arthur and Frieda.
He is survived by loving wife, Carol Lee; loving daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Joel Martin of St. Michael; grandchildren, McKenna and Jack; sisters, Dolores Salmons of Monmouth, Ill., and Darlene McDowell of Osseo; also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lois Farris
Services for Lois M. Farris, 78, of Wanamingo were Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wanamingo, with Rev. Byron Meline officiating.
Alice Rostad was the organist. Private interment was at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Farris died Monday, Oct. 04, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Lois Mae Tiller was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Wanamingo to Martin and Marie (Haugen) Tiller. She married James Farris Aug. 18, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo.
They made their home in the Minneapolis area for 22 years and Albertville for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bingo, bird watching, playing cards and taking care of her children.
She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Jana (Owen) Good of Richfield, and Carol (Mark) Bistodeau of Albertville; four sons, James Farris of Monticello, William Farris of Waverly, Robert (Fran) Farris of Sebeka, and David Farris of Monticello; seven grandchildren; one brother, John (Karen) Tiller of Wanamingo; and one sister, Solveig Nordsletten of Detroit Lakes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Martha Johnson.
Carole Bryer
Services for Carole F. Bryer, 66, of Monticello were Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
Rev. Harry A. Walsh officiated. Special music was provided by Rolf and Marlene Mohwinkel.
Mrs. Bryer died Thursday, Sept. 30, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
She was born July 15, 1938, in Colfax, N.D., the daughter of Alex and Mary Deick Tobias.
She graduated in 1956 from Park Rapids High School.
On Oct. 9, 1965, Carole F. Tobias and Kenneth F. Bryer were joined in holy marriage at St. Mark's Catholic Church in St. Paul.
She was a former property manager for Buckeye Realty.
Mrs. Bryer is survived by loving husband, Kenneth F. Bryer; a step-daughter, Andrea Bronstad; grandchildren, Peter Lindenfelser, Michael Lindenfelser and Kayla Lindenfelser; a son-in-law, John Lindenfelser of Albertville; sisters and a brother, Gladys Wasvick of Hibbing, Norman Tobias of Park Rapids, Vera Hagen of Buhl and Erma Johnson of Oxnard, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Mary Tobias; sisters and brothers, Berniece Johnson, Earl Tobias, Alvin Tobias, Ervin Tobias, Bernard Tobias and Arlene Long; and by an infant brother, Donald Tobias.
Judith Ann Knodel
Services for Judith Ann (Pouliot) Knodel, 56, of Winona, formerly of Corcoran, were Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran.
A private family interment will be conducted at a later date, as will a memorial service in Winona.
She died Oct. 5 after living with terminal cancer for four years and nine months.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd E. Pouliot; and daughters, Michelle Lauren Knodel and Shannon Lee Knodel.
She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Pouliot; daughter, Andrea Rae Knodel; son, Adam J. Knodel; sisters, Kathy Pouliot, Eileen Pouliot, Joyce Engman and fiancée Mark Lewis, and Laverne (Tom) Gazelka; brothers, Dennis (Deb) Pouliot, and Leon (Sandy) Pouliot; three nieces, eight nephews; two special friends in Garry Zachmann and Tim Schram.
She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends.
The family requests donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Judy Knodel's Kids Kancer Fund, P.O. Box 451, Winona, MN, 55987 - a foundation assisting children living with cancer.
Olivia Mitchell
Services for Olivia Grace Mitchell, infant daughter of Joseph A. and Kathleen W. Mitchell, were Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at St. Michael Catholic Church.
Jacob Preston and Annie Wilde, Olivia's Godparents, were the casket bearers. Rev. Michael Anderson was the celebrant and interment followed at St. Michael cemetery.
Olivia died Sunday, Oct. 3, at children's hospital in Minneapolis. She was born May 8 in Minneapolis.
Olivia was born again to be God's own child by the "washing of water in the Word" when she was baptized Aug. 8 at St. Michael Catholic Church.
She is survived by loving parents, Joseph A. and Kathleen W. Mitchell of St. Michael; maternal grandparents, Dennis Wilde of St. Cloud and Caryn Wilde of Moscow, Russia; paternal grandparents, Mickey (Darrell) Preston of Corcoran and Kim (Suzie) Mitchell of Kansas City, Mo.; maternal great-grandparents Maxine Wilken of Mounds View and Polly Wilde of Bainville, Mont.; paternal great-grandparents Patricia Mitchell of White Bear Lake; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Anita D. Babb
Services for Anita D. Babb, 47, of Maple Grove, formerly of Inver Grove Heights were Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove.
Interment was at the Gethsemane Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, William; son, Mark; daughter, Katie; mother, Dolores Mascaro; sisters and brothers, Barb (Mike) Latuff, Donna (Bruce) Bolstad, Tony (Patty) Mascaro, Dan (Barb) Mascaro, and Felicia (Randy) Jensen; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Babb is preceded in death by her father, Felix "Bob" Mascaro.
Nancy J. Grabow
Services for Nancy J. Grabow, 56, of Maple Grove were Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel.
Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
She passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Oct. 1, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Todd, Mike and Jill; soon-to-be grandchild; siblings, Mike, Terry, Jerry and Bill; many loving relatives and friends; especially close friend, Kathy; sister-in-law, Judy; niece, Jessica; and her shadow, Maggie.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Elsie Tiernan
Services for Elsie Tiernan, 91, of Anoka were Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka.
Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery, Anoka.
She was born in Dayton May 12, 1913.
Mrs. Tiernan and her husband owned and operated the Tiernan Confectionery Store in Elk River in the 1950s.
She was preceded in death by husband, Maurice. She is survived by son, Maurice (Sharon); daughters, Joyce Grove and Jeanne Masloski; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Gutzwiller and Rita Robeck; sisters-in- law, Marjorie Bourgeois and Kathleen Varville; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Muriel) Tiernan; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth Schober
Services for Kenneth A. Schober, 70, of Rogers/Corcoran were Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Corcoran.

Bryce Vasquez
Services for Bryce Richard Vasquez were at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
Bryce was born July 20 in Minneapolis. He died Sept. 18 at his residence.
He is survived by parents, Ricky Vasquez III and Jessica Reese of Albertville; maternal grandparents, Brenda Reese, Paul (Angela McNamara) Reese; paternal grandparents, Patty (Bruce) Engen, Rick (Vicki) Vasquez Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Boyd (Jeanene) Reese, David (Collette) Stockinger; paternal great-grandparents, Robert Hagen, Nina Engen, Richard (Linda) Vasquez Sr. and Donna Hildreth; maternal great-great grandmother, Gladys Reese; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Preston M. Reese.
