John Ross Huff
Memorial service for John Ross Huff, 80, of Deephaven was Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Excelsior.
He was born June 6, 1921, in Wabash, Ind., and died May 24, 2002. He attended The Blake Schools and Williams College; served in the military during WW II; and had a 37-year career with Honeywell. He loved his family and friends, and enjoyed sailing, fishing and "his projects."
Mr. Huff was preceded in death by parents, Willard Louis Huff and Lucretia Ross Huff.
He is urvived by wife, Louise Hodgman Huff "Rusty"; daughters and husbands, Carolyn and Bill Binford of Redmond, Wash., Susan and Jim Clough of Chesterfield, Mo., and Mary and Mark Lotz of Delano; sons and wives, Charles B. and Gina Samuels of Chandler, Ariz., Michael G. Samuels of Maple Grove, and Peter B. and Margaret Samuels of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jimmer Newman, Allison and Louis Clough, Elizabeth and Catherine Binford, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Katarina, Natalie, Caitlin and Emily Samuels; sister, Ellen Huff Powers and her husband Klaus Bibl; two nieces, Tracy and Martha Powers; two nephews, Sam and David Powers; dog, Max.

Vincent Hughes
Services for Vincent M. Hughes, 77, formerly of Plymouth were Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Church of St. Anne in Hamel. Interment followed at the church cemetery
Mr. Hughes was a member of the Hamel American Legion. He was involved for many years in the construction business and also loved woodworking. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
He is survived by children: Tim Hughes and wife, Pam, and Joan Hughes and husband, Tom Anderson; grandchildren, Elise, Brady and Cullen Hughes, Karen and Jacob Anderson; sisters, Bea Skoog and Marie Leadens; brother-in-law, Ray Anderson; and sister-in-law, Loretta Hughes.
He was preceded in death by wife, Marie.

Rudolph Klebe
Services for Rudolf A. "Rudi" Klebe, 86, of Bemidji, were Friday, May 31, 2002, at Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
He is survived by his daughters, Margo Klebe of Colorado, Lucy Boeshans of Elk River; three grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson of Dayton, Laura Brooking of Zimmerman, Barry Boeshans of Elk River; and two great-grandchildren, Mikayla Brooking and Billy Joe Anderson, Jr.
Esther Laitinen
Services for Esther Lola Laitinen, 92, were Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Peterson-Stohlberg Hillside Chapel.
Entombment at Hillside Mausoleum.
Mrs. Laitinen died Saturday, May 25, at Unity Hospital. She was a member of North Memorial Hospital Retirees Club.
She was preceded in death by loving husband, Carl.
She is survived by children, Jacqueline Johnson of Fridley, Ron and Dorothy of Columbus, Wis., Del and Jeannie of Maple Grove and Dudley of New Hope; 14 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Bonnie and Stefanie Briggs of Crystal, Bob and Doris Laitinen of Waukesha, Wis.; and "friend" Angie.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Crestview Care Center Chapel.
Lenore Lewis
Services for Lenore M. Lewis, 93, of St. Therese Care Center, New Hope, were Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Brooklyn Park.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis died Thursday, May 23, in New Hope. She was born Aug. 7, 1908, in Hassan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic; parents Matt and Rose Scherber and brothers Clem and Herbert Scherber.
Survivors include children, Mary Rose Biegert, Dolores (Joe) Berning, Dennis (Rita) Lewis, David (Marie) Lewis, Larry (Bonnie) Lewis, Joe (Linda) Lewis, Luonne (Mike) Kennedy, Doug (Pat) Lewis, Mike (Barb) Lewis and Greg (Martha) Lewis; 42 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; brother Alvin (Gertrude) Scherber and many nieces and nephews.

Lorna Miller
Services for Lorna M. Miller, 82, of Maple Grove were Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 10025 Hwy. 101, Corcoran.
She was born June 15, 1919, and died Sunday, May 12, in Robbinsdale.
Burial was in Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery, 10025 Hwy. 101, Corcoran.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Morrissette and second husband Harold Miller.
Survivors include a brother, Eldin (Marjorie) Walter of Otsego; niece, Jeraldine (Gerald) Miller; nephews, Mark (Tanya) Walter, Stephen (Dawn) Walter, and Dan (Angie) Walter; stepchildren, Shirley, Joanne, Daniel, Robert and James Morrissette, Lois Caswell and Gerald Miller, their spouses and families.
Marguerite Miller
Services for Marguerite L. Miller, 59, of Maple Grove were Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy. N., Maple Grove.
Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; father, Harvey; and Stanley Moseng.

Rodderick Thomas Otto
Services for Rodderick Thomas Otto, 76, of Delano were Thursday, May 23, 2002, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.
Rev. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Otto, Michael Otto, Thomas Otto, Steven Otto, Craig Otto, Justin Nerpel and Derek Barlage.
Mr. Otto died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Friendship Manor in Shakopee. He was born March 4, 1926, to Gregory C. and Justine B. (Kittock) Otto in Franklin Township. He married Evelyn F. Lenoue and they made their home in Franklin Township, where he was still residing.
He was a life-long resident of the Delano area. He worked for many years in the Delano School District, working in all of its schools before retirement.
He was prececed in death by wife, Evelyn; parents, Gregory and Justine (Kittock) Otto; sisters, Birdie Rose and Viola Mass and brother, Charles.
Mr. Otto is survived by daughters, Laura (Earl) Abrahms, Barbara (Mike) Brennan, Virginia (Daniel) Beadle, Catherine (Harold) Hall, Theresa (Gordon) Nerpel, Rosemary Barlage, Nancy Remter, Bernadette (William) Pearson, Margaret Otto, Dorothy (Ronald) Odenthal, Karen Otto and Pauline Carroll; sons, Thomas (Verna) Otto, Lawrence (Debra) Otto and Michael (Leah) Otto; 29 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, George (Joyce) Otto, Fritz Otto, Clem (Kay) Otto, Caroline Hurst, Sylvia (Russ) Davis, Richard (Rose) Otto, Edward (Lisa) Otto; brothers-in-law, Jim Rose and Lloyd Maas and sister-in-law, Joan Otto.
Jason Rinkel
Jason M. Rinkel, 24, of Maple Grove, died May 19, 2002, in Georgetown, Texas, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Services were Friday, May 24, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Buckman.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.
He was born Sept. 26, 1977, in Little Falls to Carl and Rosemary (Pohlkamp) Rinkel.
He had lived in Maple Grove and attended the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf in Faribault and later graduated from St. Louis Park High School. Mr. Rinkel attended Anoka Technical College for small engine repair. He was working at Scharber & Sons John Deere in Long Lake where he was a mechanic for the past eight years.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Rosemary; brothers, Jake and Brian of Maple Grove; grandparents, Ted and Anna Pohlkamp, and Buckman and Mercedes Rinkel of International Falls.
Jean Rominske
Services for Jean Rominske, 56, of Maple Grove were Tuesday May 28, 2002, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 18500 County Rd. 101, Maple Grove.
A loving mother, sister and friend, she died May 24, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 13, 1945, in Park Falls, Wis.
Her greatest joy to herself and to her family was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed golf and never missed an opportunity to get in a round.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha (Haun) Romanowich; and sisters, Marian Edbauer and Michaelene Rentschler.
Survivors include children, Michael Rominske of Los Angeles, Calif., Steven (Susan) Rominske of Woodbury, Sandy Cook (Rick Fuchs) of Maple Grove; sister, Margaret (Bill) Washatka of Park Falls, Wis.; grandchildren, Jordan Jean Cook and Aaron Fuchs of Maple Grove; nieces, Mary Kay, Lynn, Allison, and Jill; nephews, Greg, Tom, Jim, Jerry and John and many other loving relatives and friends.
Myrtle Schulz
Services for Myrtle L. Schulz, 91, of St. Paul were Thursday, May 23, 2002, at the United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. with burial in Zumbrota Cemetery.
She is survived by sons, Donald (Betty) Schulz of Manhattan, Kan., David (Kay) Schulz of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ted (Sue) Schulz of Champlin, Charles (Dorothy) Schulz of Woodbury, Niles (Jane) Schulz of Minneapolis, and Lee (Molly Cisco) Schulz of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winferd; parents; 12 brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Ellen Schulz; and daughter-in-law, Julaine Schulz.
Carole Reis
Services for Carole Anne Menard Reis, 58, formerly of South St. Paul, who grew up in Osseo, were Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom.
She was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Rogers and died Tuesday, May 7, in DesMoines.
She grew up in Osseo and graduated from St. Benedict's High School in St. Joseph. A lover of learning, she accumulated many credits at the University of Minnesota; however, remained undecided in a major. She married Richard Reis May 15, 1965. During their 37 years of marriage Mrs. Reis enjoyed being home with their two daughters and working in a variety of capacities, primarily at the University of St. Thomas and Wells Fargo Corp.
She was preceded in death by her father, step-father, sister, brother and very special friends.
Survivors include her husband Dick; daughters Marianne (Tom) of Lindstrom, Beth (Dave) of Becker; four grandchildren, and her mother Elsie Kemp.
Memorials may be directed to Adair County Iowa Memorial Hospital Helicopter Pad Project, in Greenfield, Iowa, (609 S.E. Kent, 50849).
Willard Reinitz
Services for Willard O. Reinitz, 75, of Maple Grove were Monday, May 20, 2002, at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy., Maple Grove.
Burial was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Mr. Reinitz died Friday, May 17, from lung cancer.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Alatalo Reinitz; children, Mark Reinitz, Maria Reinitz and Judith (John) West; grandchildren, Anne and Paul; siblings, Sarah Bussmann and Donald Reinitz and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Heart Association of Advent Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Sara Marie Turpin
Services for Sara Marie Turpin, 21, of Albertville were Thursday, May 30, 2002, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Eden Prairie.
Private interment.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; parents, Jim and Cindy Johnson; sister, Christine Bluhm and husband Scott; grandparents, Arnold and Margie Puetz; parents-in-law, David and Mary Jo Turpin; brothers-in-law, Larry (Jill) Turpin, Paul (Kamie) Turpin, Jeff (Julie) Donwen; sister-in-law, Amy Turpin; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
