PETERS, ANNA R., Age 92, Lansing architect for over 30 years, died March 9, 2000, at Bon Secours Nursing Center in St. Clair Shores, MI. She was born and grew up in Howell, MI, the daughter of William E. Robb, founder of Citizens Mutual Auto Co. of Howell and his wife, Agnes. She was Salutatorian of her graduation class at Howell High School. Anna graduated from U of M with a degree in architecture. She was the wife of Dr. Robert M. Peters, Lansing dentist, for 65 years, who predeceased her in January of 1999. She was an associate of Clark R. Ackley, Architect from 1940-1975 with a break during World War II when she worked at the Olds plant as a draftsman. Anna was a member of the U of M Alumni Club, which she especially enjoyed attending in her later years, Altrusa Club, holding many positions, and the American Institute of Architects. She was also active in many different activities at Resurrection Church. She was a perfectionist in all that she did, but also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Anna leaves a daughter, Jane Anne (Joseph) Antone of Eastpointe; son, William R. Peters of Camarillo, CA; grandchildren, June and Jacqueline Antone of Michigan, John of Tokyo, Japan, James (Dr. Naveed) of Texas and Julie Antone of CA, Kestor and Scott Peters and Virginia Goodrich of CA; 6 great-grandchildren. In addition, she leaves 2 sisters, Sr. Mary Leon Robb, IHM of Monroe and Margaret Brady of Leisure Woods, CA. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 13, 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. William J. Koenigsknecht, Pastor, officiating.
