BRANTLEY, HERBERT, Age 72. Formerly of 8 Mile Rd. in Detroit, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2000. He was born September 4, 1927 in Detroit and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Detroit from 1948-1962. He also was employed for 30 years by GM Corp. until his retirement. On February 17, 1982 he married the former Thelma Hawthorne Norment, and she survives him along with four children, two granddaughters, three stepchildren, six stepgrandchildren, two brothers, one sister, a host of nieces, nephews, special friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2000 at the Kroeze Funeral Home in Fremont, MI (637 E.
