CONTE, MARTHA and SILVIO Martha Tamer Conte, (August 30, 1932 - April 15, 2001), prepared a place for her husband, Silvio Bennaggio Conte, Jr., (October 21, 1930 - March 10, 2002), and he followed her home, married for fifty years, they leave behind Richard (Lois), Michael (Cindy), Thomas (Denise Walker), Carl, Joseph (Ron), Robert (Natalia), and Teresa Davidson (Logan). They will watch over the lives of their grandchildren, Lisa, Teresa and Michael Conte and Sean Davidson. "Mart" is survived by her sisters, Eva Farris and Selina Tamer and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tamer (Sam), Betty Tamer (Pete), aunt and uncle Louis and Lillian Anthony, of Florida, and a family of cousins, the Hiddids. She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Selma Tamer, brother-in-law, Nabih Farris, her brothers, Joseph, Pete, Sied and his wife Mary Tamer. "Scribby" is survived by his siblings Augustino, David, Eugene, Amalia Vail, Daniel, James and brother-in-law, Dominic Millitello. He was predeceased by his parents, Silvio, Sr. and Dulcie Conte, sisters, Lucille Arman (Del) and Mary Millitello. Both Mart and Scrib are survived by many nieces and nephews and their dear friends, Eileen Rodgers (sister-in-law) and Marion Thomas (niece). Scrib and Mart fell in love when he was 17 and she was 15 years old. Scrib fought in the Korean War where he was wounded and awarded medals of honor while Mart kept the home fires burning on Mt. Elliott street and in every other home she filled with comfort for her family. They were both cared for at home with incredible support by Hospices of Bi-County and Henry Ford Hospital then laid to rest by the Cremation Society of Michigan. Their children and grandchildren are their immortality. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospices of Bi-County or Henry Ford Hospital or the American Cancer Foundation.

CRAWFORD, GRACE R. (nee MAGDALENSKI) A long time resident of Detroit, died on Friday morning, March 15, 2002, at the home of her brother Fred (Elaine) Magdalenski in Westford, Massachusetts, after celebrating her 88th birthday, March 3rd. Grace was married for 50 years to Mel Crawford until his death in 1986. Until late she was an active member of Guardian Angels Church in Detroit and Friends of Vision. Mrs. Crawford, a skilled milliner, was the proud owner of the Chez Bonnet Shop on Harper Avenue. Grace is survived by her brothers Fred and Raymond and ten nieces and nephews.
