LUDWIG, THOMAS W., Tom s life began March 22, 1930 in Elyria, OH, the son of Irving and Sarah (Lyons) Ludwig. Tom worked as a salesman and corporate pilot for Fayette Tubular Products for 18 years until his retirement in 1987. He has been a resident of Portage since 1994 with his fiancee Mary Lou McKelvey. Members of Tom s family include his mother Sarah Lyons, children Lee Cote of Boston, Jim (Carol) Ludwig of Brighton, Scott Ludwig of Holly, Sarah (Don) List of Holly. Grandchildren Scott and Thomas Ludwig, Jennifer, Kevin, Emily List, Elizabeth Ludwig, Gina Cote, sisters Karol Hoeffler and Jo Siemsen. In addition to his family Tom was also very close to Mary Lou s children Holly McKelvey of East Lansing, Karen (Bruce) Copus of Lathrup Village, and Dana McKelvey of Farmington Hills. Tom died at his home in Portage Sunday March 8, 1998. Friends may spend time with his family Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Rupert, Durham, Marshall & Gren Funeral Home, 5975 Lovers Lane, Portage, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm. ROWE, DOROTHY MARY, Age 95, of Portage, MI and formerly of Lakeport, MI and Highland Park, MI, passed away Monday, March 9, 1998, at Tendercare of Portage. Mrs. Rowe was born in Cornwall, England, March 7, 1903, the daughter of Alfred & Hannah (Toms) Pellow. She was a member of Central Lakeport United Methodist Church. On July 3, 1926, she married William L. Rowe, who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1975. She was also preceded in death by three brothers. She was the beloved mother of Marjorie (Harold) Lollar of Portage, who survives. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Thomas Lollar, Timothy Lollar and Tammy (David) Heinemann, two great-grandchildren, Eric & Maxwell Heinemann, a sister-in-law, Edith Pellow of Cornwall, England, several nieces and nephews. Dorothy willed her body to Wayne State University for medical research, as did her husband in 1975. Memorial services will be held in June at a time, day and location to be announced.
