NOWAK, LUCILLE A., "Sister Rosalyn" Sunday, February 11, 2001, Sister Rosalyn Nowak, Servant of Jesus, died at home suddenly, passing into the hands of the Lord. She was 81. She survived by her sister Frances Burczynski. Preceding her in death are her parents Joseph and Monica Nowak of Gaylord. In her 60 years of service to the Catholic Church, Sister Rosalyn taught at Mt. Carmel in Wyandotte, MI, Corpus Christi, St. Andrews, Our Lady of Refuge, St. Michael, St. Valentine, all of which were in the Detroit area. Funeral arrangements for Sister Rosalyn are as follows: A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at 11:00 AM at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, with Father Daniel Nowak O.F.M. officiating. Visitation will be held at Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord on Thursday from 2-9 PM, with an Altar Rosary Society Service at 3 PM. A Funeral Liturgy to be celebrated on Friday, February 16, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Cathedral, Gaylord. Interment will be in St. Mary cemetery of Gaylord.
