WOLIN, LEAH, Age 90, a Flint resident for more than 70 years died on Thursday, December 31, 1998 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 3, 1999 at Congregation Beth Israel, 5240 Calkins Rd., Flint, MI with burial at Machpelah cemetery. Rabbis James R. Michaels and son-in-law, Sherman Kirshner and grandson, David-Seth Kirshner will officiate. She was preceded in death, 26 years ago, by her husband David. She was well known for her dedication to her community synagogue and to education. She and her husband were the originators of the Congregation Beth Israel Library. She was one of the original officers of the Michigan Branch of National Women's League of Conservative Judaism and past president of Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Israel. She served on the board of the Jewish Federation and numerous service organizations within the community.
