STAHL, GAYLORD G., 66, of 975 S. Moose Lane, Cedarville, died May 19, 2000 in Marquette. He was born November 17, 1933 in Grosse Pointe, MI to Ervin and Alma (Schultz) Stahl. Prior to retiring he worked as a machinist for a Tool & Die Co. He was a member of the Elks. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; a daughter, Cheryl (Mathew) Currie; two step-daughters, Lisa Leech and Nevada Jefferson; two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Stahl and David (Stahl); a brother, Ervin (Pat) Stahl of New Jersey and six grandchildren. A memorial service with family and friends will be held at a later date. The Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home of Marquette was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Alexander was born January 15, 1918 in Detroit, the son of John E. and Georgia (Warden) Alexander. He married Faymarian Tremper April 5, 1941 in Dearborn. Mr. Alexander was a sales executive and the guiding force of Fre-Bar Inc. in Holly. He was First Lt. in the U.S. Army serving in WWII in Italy (Anzio) and Southern France. He was a P.O.W. in Northern Europe for 9 months. Surviving are: wife, Faymarian; daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Mermuys of Fenton, 2 granchildren, Carrie Mermuys of Wixom, Michael (Kathryn) Mermuys of Linden, 2 great grandchildren, Abby and Nicky; nieces and nephews. FOLEY, KEVIN P., 52 of Herndon, VA. Died on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 in Washington, D.C. He was a veteran Journalist and Editor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. A native of Ypsilanti, MI, he began his Journalism career at the Associated Press in 1981. He joined RFE/RL s Washington News Bureau where he served as Deputy News Director and later became the bureau s Assignment Editor. He reported on a wide variety of topics, but in recent years focused on health issues and even acquired a second Masters degree in Health Promotion Management. Earlier, he had earned a Masters degree in European History. He is survived by his wife Barbara Brock; a daughter Emma Foley; three sisters, Frances Muck, Ann Wiercioch and Veronica Foley. Friends may call at the Money & King Vienna Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
