HENSCHELL, MARY ELIZABETH "BETTY" (nee NORRIS) Age 81. May 26, 2000. Beloved wife for 50 years of the late Cecil E. Henschell. Dearest mother of Cecilia J. (Sanford) Lakin of W. Bloomfield. Precious grandmother of Whitney and Noah. Also survived by son Todd of Burbank, CA. She was born in Loogootee, IN. on April 5, 1919, and grew up in Wayne, MI. From 1986, she and her husband resided in Venice, FL, where she remained after his death in 1996. In 1999, following a diagnoses of Cancer, she moved to the West Bloomfield home of her daughter and son-in-law, where she resided until her death. KAYE, LILLIAN KOPEC, Died May 27 in Palo Alto, California. She was 79 years old. She was born and raised in Michigan. In high school, she was a swimmer and won diving awards. After high school, she graduated from beauty school and went to work in a beauty salon owned by Carroll Kajkowski who later became her mother-in-law. She married Albin Kaye in 1941 and together they raised three daughters. When the girls were grown, the couple retired in Florida where Albin passed away in 1997. Shortly after his death, Lillian moved to California to be near her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and designed formal gowns. She enjoyed swimming, gardening and cooking. She is survived by her daughters, Cathleen, Christina and Allyn; four grandsons; and a sister, Stephanie. Private services will be held. Arrangements by Roller Hapgood & Tinney.
