CURRIER, DONALD FRANCIS Age 86, of Overland Park, Kansas, died at home March 3, 2002. Born November 9, 1915 in Saulte Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Currier lived most of his life in the Detroit area where he worked in the lumber business for over forty years. He held executive positions including president with Currier Lumber Company. A 1938 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he was a loyal fan of the "Fighting Irish". He also attended Sacred Heart Seminary for several years. He was a long-time parishioner and member of the mens choir of St. Paul's Church, Grosse Pointe Farms. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Jane Currier. He is survived by his son Patrick George Currier of Overland Park, KS; granddaughters Christine Tinder of Gig Harbor, WA and Anne Fruci of Spokane, WA; three great-grandchildren Alex, Andrew and Christina Fruci; sisters Colette Walsh of Beverly Hills, MI and Clare Schneider of Troy, MI; brother Desmond Currier of Charlevoix, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
