SCHELLIG, DR. ROBERT DDS. Age 84, of Valrico, Florida, formerly of Rochester, MI. March 4, 2002. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, moved to Valrico, in November 2001. Dr. Robert Schellig DDS. was a Dentist, and had his own private practice for more than 35 years. He was a Lutheran and was a member of the Historic Trinity Church. Dr. Schellig was very active in the Michigan Dental Society, he was a member of Common Wealth Club in Oakland County, Michigan. He also was an active member of the OPC Club in Rochester, Michigan. He served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He is survived by his wife Margaret of Valrico, Florida, two sons Alan of Valrico, Florida, and Robert Jr. of Rochester, Michigan, and five grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service later in the year at the Historic Trinity in Detroit, Michigan. Those who wish may send contributions to the Historic Trinity in Roberts Memory.

TRAUB, SENTA I., Born May 9, 1929 in Stuttgart, Germany, passed away on March 1, 2002, after a short illness. Senta lived in Michigan with her beloved husband Ewald for many years before moving to Arizona. A loving wife of 53 years, she leaves behind her husband Ewald, daughter Monica (Dean) Ickes, grandson James Cortright, sisters Eleanor Sapp and Elfriede Burns (Gene), and niece and nephews. Memorial will be held March 11th, 11 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 25320 Van Dyke, Centerline.

TURCK, JUDITH, Dexter, MI., age 61 died at home on Mon, March 4, 2002. Funeral Mass will be held on Fri March 8, 2002 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter. The family will receive friends at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter on Wed from 6-8PM & Thursday from 1-4 & 6-8PM. A Scripture service will be held on Thurs at 7:00PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery. She is survived by her husband Dr. Robert Joseph Turck, son Jeffrey Glen (Denise Michelle) Turck & Grandson Caleb A. Turck & Sister Gail Moore Wright.

TURIN, ERIKA VERA, who began her teaching days during the era of the Great Depression, took an assignment in Royal Oak after graduation from (then) Wayne University. When she was hired by the cash-strapped Detroit School System, she was paid in scrip, redeemable at a later date. Private burial services were held for Miss Turin, who died of pneumonia February 23, 2002. Internment was in Gethsemane cemetery. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but a student of Detroit schools, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Charlotte (Gartig) Turin. After receiving a Master of Art Degree, also from Wayne, she eventually moved up to principalships at Healy and Houghton Schools. She previously had taught at Nichols and Marshall Elementary schools. Fluent in German and able to understand Russian, she had the opportunity to travel throught-out Europe after accepting a position as principal of a United States Army school in Salzburg, Austria, after World War II. Travel remained one of her retirement occupantions, along with the art and music she dearly loved. Also and accomplished pianist, Miss Turin joined a music group and attended Detroit Symphony concerts. She was a member of The Nomads, Women of Wayne, the American Association of University Women, and Grosse Pointe Chapter of Wayne Educators. Survivors include her brother, Dr. Dimitry M. (Joyce) Turin, of Grosse Ile; a niece Jody (Dennis Callan) of Sylvania, Ohio; a nephew Eric M. Turnin, of Grosse Pointe Farms, and six great nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorial tributes be sent to charitable organizations of one's choice.

WAY, EUGENE (GENE) Age 73 of Shelby Twp. Retired Court Officer. Former St. Clair County Court Officer and Macomb County Court Security Officer. Died March 4th, 2002 of heart failure. A lifelong resident of Michigan. Mr. Way served in the Army during World War II. His passion for police work guided him to serve on several police departments and also included several judicial appointments as Court Officer. He was a member of Bethesda Christian Church for over 50 years. Survivers include his wife Mary; four sons, Gene, Jimmy, Paul and Joseph; and several grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at Bethesda Christian Church on Metro Parkay in Sterling Heights on Friday, March 15th, 2002 at 10 a.m. His body was cremated. CARMAN, PATRICIA GONCZO age 63, died of pancreatic cancer at Hospice Atlanta. Born in Detroit, Pat graduated from the Academy of Sacred Heart, Grosse Pointe, and Marymount College, Arlington, VA. For many years, she was a recruiter in the Atlanta area. After retirement, she became an Aquatic Fitness Professional certified with A.E.A., Arthritis Foundation, and M.S. Foundation, a Red Cross CFAS and CPRO Instructor, an AARP 55 Alive Instructor, and a SwimAmerica Blue Card Swimming Coach. Mrs. Carman is survived by husband, Bob; daughter, Carey Whiteman, Bourbon, IN; son, Christopher, Clearwater, FL; granddaughters, Kelly Whiteman and Brittany Carman; grandson, Kyle Whiteman; and sisters, Dolores Walsh, Sun City, AZ, and Judy Wilson, Santa Fe, NM. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 1998, at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 3773 Chamblee-Tucker Road, Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be made to Dynamo Community Swim Center Scholarship Fund, 3119 Shallowford Road, Chamblee, GA 30341, or to a favorite charity. CHESEBROUGH, HARRY, Age 88. Died March 9, 1998, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Chesebrough was a resident of Grand Rapids and was formerly of Bloomfield Hills. He is preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Chapin, and his sister, Marybell Houseman. After completing High School at Grand Rapids Central, he graduated from the University of Michigan. In 1932, Mr. Chesebrough joined the Chrysler Corporation and received a Master's Degree there in automotive engineering. He was also granted an honorary Doctor Degree of Engineering from the University of Michigan. Mr. Chesebrough was employed by Chrysler for 41 years until he retired in 1973, as Corporate Vice President, ending his career integrating american engineering know-how with local manufacturing practices to strengthen the automotive industry of France, Spain and Japan. Special recognition was given him when the University of Michigan presented him with its Outstanding Achievement Award as an Alumnus who had distinguished himself in his chosen profession. During his career he was National President for both the Society of Automotive Engineers and The American Standards Association, Director of The Chrysler Institute of Engineering and The Engineering Society of Detroit, and Trustee for The Rackham Engineering Foundation. He was a member of The American Society of Body Engineers, The American Society of Quality Control and The National Academy of Engineering. Mr. Chesebrough was also a member of The University of Michigan Industrial Committee, The University of Michigan Club of Detroit, The U of M Executive Committee's 55 Million Dollar Campaign for a New Engineering Building, The U of M College of Engineering 1974 Capital Campaign, The Detroit Board of Commerce, The Economic Club of Detroit and The Detroit Athletic Club. Survivors include his sister Dorothy (Harry) VanDyke; brother-in-law Reo Houseman; sister-in-law, Lorraine Staff; 10 nieces and nephews; and Luella Gott, his devoted secretary of many years. A memorial service will be held at a later date in White Chapel cemetery in Troy. Funeral arrangements were handled by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 248-435-0660.
