TUTSCHEK, GILBERT SCOTT Age 67 of Canadian Lakes. passed away February 19, 1998. Loving husband of Solveig. Cherished father of Tina (Brien) Wassman and Eva Tutschek. Adored son of Lois Demarest and the late Gilbert Tutschek. Dear brother of Joan (Al) Smolenski. Formerly of Birmingham, MI, Mr. Tutschek was a graduate of Colgate University and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Handy & Harman of Rye, NY in 1994, after 36 years of service. Cremation has already taken place as per his wishes and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 4:00 p.m. at the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colgate University General Endowment Fund, c/o Colgate University/Office of Development, 13 Oak Drive, Hamilton, NY 13346.

RIES, RICHARD D., Formerly of Detroit, died Sunday in the Sacred Heart Home, Oregon, Ohio. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Raymond Church in Detroit. Surviving are Mary Rose, his wife of 60 yrs.; sons, Lawrence (Patricia), David, and James (Eleanor) Ries; daughters, Pearl Ries, F.J.J., Margaret Ries (Sr. Jeanne of St. Chantal, L.S.P.); 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Visiting will be held Thursday from 2-9 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Home, 4900 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH, where funeral services will begin Friday at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester, MI. Loving mother of Lawrence (Margaret J.), born in Zoria, Manitoba, Canada. survived by sister Pearl Chimboryk; brothers Theodore (Olga), Jack (Anne), Walter (Mary), Philip (Ann); sister-in-laws Florence and Mary, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents Joseph and Josephine Bogucki; brothers Frank (Mary), Julian, Anthony, and Felix. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. with funeral services on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the David J. Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Rd. (1 blk. N. of 12 Mile Rd.). Beloved mother of Larry (Helene) Seidell of Skokie, IL; aunt of Donald Seidell of Capac and Maurice Callender of Wauseon, OH; also surviving are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
