KABLE, ANTOINETTE "TONI" Ypsilanti, MI Age 79. Died Tuesday, February 2, 1999 at University of Michigan Hospital. She was born September 23, 1919, in Detroit, MI., the daughter of Mark and Mary (Ras) Gorka. On August 19, 1944, she married Wayne Kable and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1993. Mrs. Kable was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Survivors include one son: Kenneth (Dorothy) W. Kable of Saginaw, MI and one daughter: Cheryl (Michael) Hassett of Chelsea, MI; six grandchildren: Mark, Timothy and Laura Kable and Patrick (Lynda) and James Hassett and Tina (Matt) Rothamel; one step great granddaughter; Kaysher Campbell; sister-in-law: Julia Gorka; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Anna Puzio, Stanley Gorka, Stella Paris, Joseph Gorka and Tillie Sowa. Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 410 W. Cross St., Ypsilanti, with Fr. Edmond Ertzbischoff as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig cemetery, Dearborn Heights, MI. Contributions in Mrs Kable's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at Janowiak Funeral Home, Geer-Logan Chapel where the family will receive friends, Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m with a scripture Service at 7:00 p.m.

KEITH, WOODROW W., long-time Allen Park resident, died in the early hours of February 1, 1999, at Oakwood Hospital, where he briefly had been a patient. Woodrow, or "Woody", was born September 5, 1912, in Rome, Georgia. His family later moved to Birmingham, Alabama. Like many of his brothers, Woody moved North during the Great Depression to find employment. He began working at GM Cadillac plant in April of 1941., before World War II, and retired after 36 years with the company in 1977. While he worked, he was an active member of Local 22, UAW, ultimately serving as the Financial Secretary. Woodrow was a member of the Baptist Church and a life long member of Masonic Lodge #172, in Dearborn, Michigan. Woodrow married his wife, Lillian, in 1941, who died in October of 1997. Woodrow is survived by his daughter, Deloris Kirchner, of Birmingham, Alabama, and numerous nieces and nephews, issue of his six brothers and one sister, now all deceased except for Eugene of Bessemer, Alabama. Woody loved his work, home, family and friends, and Rascal, his dog. VanBRUSSELEN, BEATRICE (nee WATERBURY BOHNER) Born August 7, 1923. Died February 2, 1999 in St. Clair Shores, MI. Daughter of the late Maurice and Daisy Waterbury of Detroit, MI. "Bea Bea" as she was fondly called by friends and family, was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Waterbury of Miami, Fla. and her devoted husband Frank VanBrusselen, famous Detroit restauranteur and long-time owner of "The Clam Shop" on East Grand Boulevard. Her working career began at Lou Maxon Advertising Agency, from there she moved to Michigan Bell Telephone Co., and then to the Campbell-Edwald Advertising Agency, working in the Media Dept. until her retirement. Bea and her husband Frank were avid boaters and long-time members of the St. Clair Yacht Club; their yachts: The "More Fun I, II and III" were well known at many ports-of-call on the Great Lakes and along the "Nautical Mile." Bea is survived by her niece Sandra Rowland-Campbell of Oxford, Mich. and her sister-in-laws Margaret Hoisington Waterbury of Rochester, Mich. and Mitzie VanBrusselen of Melbourne, Fla. BURSEY, PHYLLIS D. MD of West Bloomfield. passed away on February 1, 2000 at Lourdes Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Dr. Bursey was a psychiatrist at Clinton Valley Hospital from 1956 through 1982. She is survived by a sister Grace Cunningham, many nieces and nephews and many close friends. Dr. Bursey was a mentor to many people, especially to Vickie Penrose and Allison Burgess. She will be deeply missed by her friend Colleen O'Neill Brayton and her life time friend Carol Proctor of New Brunswick. A memorial service will be held in spring in Moncton, New Brunswick, Cancada, Dr. Bursey's place of birth. memorail contributions may be made in her memory to the FOWLER CENTER OF DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED CHILDREN ADN ADULTS, 2315 Harmon Lake Road, Mayville, MI 48744. DiPAOLO, ANTONIA of FL, formally of Trenton, MI passed away 1/31/2000 at age 91. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Santi DiPaolo. Her beloved children, Albert C. (Marjorie) DiPaolo, W. Palm Beach, FL, and Filomena (Clayton) Eccles, Valrico Hills, FL survive her. She was the cherished grandmother of 3 grandsons Dennis DiPaolo, San Diego, CA, David DiPaolo, Sylvania, OH, and Donald DiPaolo of Ann Arbor, MI. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Delores) Pietrangelo of FL. Mrs. DiPaolo dedicated her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, seamstress and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
