BROWN, STANLEY M., Age 79, of Hillsboro Beach, Florida, died March 21, 1999, at home after a brief illness. He was a resident of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he had retired as a manufacturer and supplier to General Motors. He had a distinguished six year career as an Airforce Major from 1940 to 1946, and was highly decorated. He is survived by Dorothy Rose Brown, his wife of 55 years, and their four children: Barbara Boyer, Glen B. Brown, Marsha DeLonge and Deborah Murray; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; his brothers Gordon Brown, Deland, FL, and Kenneth Brown, Naples, FL; his sisters Janet Griffin, Whiting, NJ, and Phyllis Prince, Delray Beach, Fl. A memorial service will be held April 12, at 2:00 p.m. in The Kirk in the Hills Church on Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills, where he will be interred. FRYE, CARROLL RICHARD 71, of Novi, MI and Ruskin, FL, died Monday 3/29. A native of Indiana, he was an artillery instructor in post-war Germany and during the Korean War. He graduated in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. His engineering career included research and development and safety and emission control for Ford Motor Co., including several years with Ford Int l. in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Since retirement he has enjoyed his time in Michigan and Florida. He is predeceased by a son Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife Sally, a son Brian of Rochester, NY, a son, Steven, of Hopkinton, NH and a daughter, Julia of Farmington Hills, MI, and two grandchildren. HAMILTON, ROBERT JOHN II Died April 6, 1999 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Pontiac, 67, of Rochester Hills, formerly a 44 year resident of Clawson. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his wife of 24 years, June, whom he married August 8, 1974 at Addison Oaks in Oakland Township, his five children, Bob (Linda), Scott (Tammy), Steve (Cindy), Julie (Mike) Frakes, David (Laura) and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton was born March 10, 1932 and raised in Marine City, Michigan. He was a Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Champion. He attended Alma College where he played baseball and football, being named MVP in 1953. Mr. Hamilton influenced thousands of students and athletes during his 37 years of teaching at Clawson High School. He coached baseball, track & Field and 27 years of football. He is a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association hall of Fame. In retirement, Mr. Hamilton enjoyed working in his yard; caring for his landscaping, flower and vegetable gardens at his new home in Rochester Hills. Mr. Hamilton also took pleasure in fishing for walleye in Lakes St. Clair and Erie. He was President of Town Center Underwriters Insurance Agency located in Lathrup Village, MI. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Hartka; two sons, Lyle and Dale Hartka; two daughters, Carol Brodeur and Janet Price; one step-daughter, Fran Goldberg and husband Fred; and sister Eleanor Weyant. He was a past member of the Hiawatha Sportsman s Club in Northern MI and the Evergreen Country Club in Palm City, FL.
