BOLAN, RICHARD E. "BO" Age 70. Bo died in Saginaw St. Mary s Hospital enroute home from visiting friends. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lois; his brother-in-law Thomas Saull; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son Curt; his mother and father, Mamie and Charles; and sister Dorothy Saull. He was born and raised in Detroit and, after graduation from Pershing High School, spent a year in Japan in the Army of occupation. After his return he attended Wayne State Universty. He joined Ford Motor Co. as an engineer in 1955 and spent two years in Canada in an assembly plant. He subsequently retired from Ford in 1982 due to ill health. His love of skiing introduced him to the Northern Michigan area and a vacation home was purchased in the 60 s. After his retirement from Ford the decision was made, 14 years ago, to move North permanently. It was a decision he never regretted. According to his wishes, his body was donated to the Tissue and Research Bank, with cremation to follow. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Boyne Mountain, where he spent so many happy times, at Noon on May 22, followed by a luncheon and story swapping session about his life and times. Served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S.
