Mr. Allport had retired from the City of Detroit and had also been employed by the Duval County, FL. courts. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Eva; son, Bryan; daughters, Palma McConnaughey and Sheila Allport; and two grandchildren, Carrie and Sean, all of Jacksonville. Private services will be held.
