Robert Clair Beckinger of Iceland, Major Richard Mark Beckinger of Watertown, NY and Major William Carl Beckinger of Pensacola, FL; Dolores Mary Dyl of Flat Rock and Jennifer Ann Beckinger of Toledo, OH; leaves 12 grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer, Monroe, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, immediately followed by a military service under the auspices of American Legion Post #514 Lynn C. Weeman. He was born on Feb. 9, 1933 in Smithton, PA. Son of Robert and Freda (Devaney) Beckinger. He married Dolores M. Wright on Sept. 15, 1956 in Lincoln Park. For 25 yrs. he was employeed by Scott Paper Co. in Detroit, the last 15 years he was employed by Jeep Corp. in Toledo, OH. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was a Paratrooper serving from Feb. 1, 1952 to Aug. 30, 1954. A member of the UAW Local #12 in Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Jason M. Beckinger. Memorials may be made to the charity of donors choice.
